We don't need a 2.0 of this kit. What we really need badly is a Exia 2.0, but what we r getting instead is a MG Gundam Astraea. It a nice kit and all, but do we really need that.
@@insansiregar6158I have all 00 (raiser, 7 sword and xn) in case of the xn and regular 00 raiser, xn is the 00 raiser (even the manual without english translation) with additional runners to make the xn equipment
If I remember correctly, the effect parts for the GN sword II's are for the raiser sword, which it performed while using them in rifle mode, which explains why they are perpendicular from the blades in sword mode.
i bought the 00 7 sword due to it being the cheapest among the 00 variant. the forearm definitely likes to come off. the ankles and knees are also on the weaker side, but at least all the weight are on the sides so after tightening the joints it can stand
Built the seven sword version 10 years ago, a pretty solid kid and actually can balance itself well with both the two gn buster rifle/sword. Yeah the bicep connection is kinda a weakpoint sadly.
Honestly, if they update the abysmal hands it would already be in a far better spot than it currently is. Those hands can’t hold anything aside from the GN Sword 2 and beam sabers without the forearm plug. So imagine trying to get it to hold the Buster Sword from the Seven Sword 😬 and the fact that there are no expressive hands hurts too
if any third party model maker or even bandai, make custom fix posed hands for the old MG Setsuna kits, i'll fucking pay for em, but probably will never happen
Probably not, this is one of those kits that is more solid than the Perfect Grade that was released prior to it. That's why they re-used this kit for the Quan[T] - its just a very solid kit. But it would no doubt be a better kit with newer engineering

I just finished building the clear trans-am version of this kit last week! I tried the sword mode and it's been an absolute nightmare for posing. May I ask what connector you used for the stand? I used the one included in the kit and it completely flops over when I try to pose it in the angles you're using.
Yeah the sword is just a bit too heavy. Picked up an Action Base 4 and used one of the 4 prong parts that go under the leg to hip connection. It's not perfect and likes to push the front skirt off but was suitable for the most part.
Debating between getting the mg while its in stock, or waiting for the hg to get rereleased. I pose my kits often, so the weapons being lighter, the joints being easier to take apart and tighten, and the binders not having to be partsformed is what makes me lean towards the hg more, but im really not sure which i want more.
It's not terribly for posing in regular 00 mode but with the raiser you'll mostly need a stand for good posing. RG's a little better in that department but still gonna need a stand.
@@jegt3382 yes but all kits get loose overtime. Its much harder to tighten joints in mg frames than it is to tighten hg joints imo. I ended up ordering the mg anyways though

Haha we always try to leave the kits in as out of the box condition as possible, so this is right out of box with some stickers and panel lining. The lighting may make it looks a little glossier
I got the No Grade 1/100 OO Raiser back when they were the first model kits available for OO Gundam. I've got to say, there is not a huge amount of difference between the no grade and MG in terms of looks, details, accessories and pose-ability. It even has the LED GN drives. Honestly it's like the No Grade was a beta test for the MG. The OO is one of my favourite Gundams but I could never justify getting the MG with how close the No Grade comes to it especially given the fact that the No Grade was 1/2 the price of the MG.
I have built the Master Grade Gundam 00 riser and I don't think it needs a 2.0. I haven't left in a pose where it's GN sword 3.0 has been left and erased striking pose for 4 years now and it hasn't moved and those four years. Now I think the ex-cia could probably use a 2.0 cuz that thing is a hand grenade you look at it the wrong way and it falls apart.
I was able to put 5 green leds to this MG 00 Raiser. Granted I bought knock offs(since they're cheaper and better at lighting), it looks good with those green lights, coming out of MG 00 Raiser. Like I said, this MG is an led hog. But worth it. I also have the MG 00 7 Sword-G. Putting a 7 colored led in the GN Buster Sword, is funny and worth it.
I would like to add this mg to my collection, I only have exia and dynames, eventually want to get my hands on all the mg 00 suits, and this one looks gorgeous, but never liked how...toyish it looked due to the bright colours, bit of accent colours and maybe a darker blue would add more realism for me
@@thespicer ooo yes a deep navy blue would be good, with some lighter blue accents to make it pop, the orange is a good idea as well for some segments, I remember a white and orange test colour scheme for this suit, I think it was for a PG, that or white and red
