Hi Jamie, this made me cry because my mom raised my brother and me as a single mom. Unfortunately, she passed away in late 2019 from complications from a stroke a year earlier. My mom raised us the best she could, often working 2-3 jobs to provide for us. After going to university and getting a professional job, I bought a dream house and I invited my mom to live with me. She had a huge bedroom and a large backyard where she did her gardening, growing beautiful rose bushes. I took care of her for the last 20 years of her life. It was nothing compared to the sacrifices she made to raise two boys who successfully graduated from university and went onto successful careers. I miss her dearly. Please enjoy every moment with your mom because each day that we have with them is a priceless gift.
Sorry for your loss sir/ma'am but I'm sure your mom is definitely proud of you and she couldn't have asked for a better son/daughter.

I lost my mom in 2015 and she did a wonderful job raising me and my brother may he soon continue to Rest In Peace love and miss her so much.

It's so touching! Jamie you did a good job by setting up a good example as influencers/content creator! When most them showing off branded stuffs/sport cars/luxury house they earned, you did it different by saving every single penny you earned in order to provide a good living to your mum, I hope more and more ppl will influence and learn from you!

WOW! What a wonderful son. The neighbors needed to calm down it was 2.5 weeks vs months. That alone is amazing how quickly the work was done. Having a damp, moldy apartment was bad for everyone and that could have spread to neighboring apartments, they should be grateful. I may have missed it but I hope she owned this apartment vs renting. Putting that much work into a rental would encourage the landlord into raising the rent. I loved her first comment of "Am I staying here" what a blessing.

Got me crying. I can relate to your situation. That was a a heavy burden for you to carry all these years seeing your Mom sick and wanting to fix her sick place up to make it healthier for her. Trying to save to make it happen. I too raised a son myself and I haven’t been in the greatest of health, so seeing you accomplish your dream for your Mom made me so relieved for you. I don’t know you young man but I wish you every happiness and success in life. I am sure your Mom feels honoured to have you as her son.

Your too cool Jamie, I did something similar with my mum for her 60th in 2000, I sent her on a trip to see my siblings I have 11, She raised us all on her own as our dad died when I was 3. Getting back to the story, so it took her a few months to get around everyone, we held a huge party at home and had the best night. Sadly the very next day she died in her sleep due to an undiagnosed heart arrhythmia. I take solace in knowing she died happy. Back in those days phones weren't a thing so we never got to record the night before but it is etched in our memories. I wish I could hear my mum speak to me in that high-pitched voice like your mum did.

First time viewer and I've got to say respect brother. Our mums, especially single mums who raise the kids on their own, literally sacrifice their lives for us. Unless you have been in a divorced family, you cannot understand the struggles. Doing this for her, just shows the man you have become. Your mum is so proud of you, congrats man.

I can hardly believe I’m saying this but my daughter is doing the exact same thing for me right now as I said in this horrible place that I live an hour and a half away there’s a beautiful house waiting for me she’s finishing it she’s painting she’s putting in new fence for my dog she’s repairing any problems and making sure the house is perfect children Are truly a gift a blessing and if you raise them right they will pay you back tenfold!!!!
