I appreciate it thank you! Ya pickln is doing their pricing and paddles properly. If I'm nitpicking my only complaint is, I wish the names were different instead of 3 different Alecto paddles. I always have to explain which one I'm talking about 😂
Sir... I played exactly 1 night with it...... and it's sooooooooooooooooo worth the price tag. I really enjoy the manageable power boost I have over the gruvn 16x.
I’ve been playing with the red for the past couple weeks and I can say it plows through the ball so smoothly once you get it dialed in. Me personally I would compare the feel to the thrive azul but with more a bit more power. The spin out of the package is also very nice and hitting any spin was comfortable and i enjoyed it more than my apollo. Great paddle for the price.
I dont remember how, but i saw that PickLn had a new paddle and went to their website to check it out yesterday. Saw the specs, saw the price and just thought "it seems too good to pass up on" and so i already went ahead and bought it! I was a little anxious since there were no reviews on this paddle, so i'm excited and can't wait to hear your thoughts and review tomorrow!
@@FarmerLankyPickleball coming from a J2K, the increase of pop and power was VERY noticeable. i was worried that i'd find this uncontrollable, but while it did take a moment, i didnt find it uncontrollable at all. i applied 3G tungsten tapes at the 4 and the 8 oclock and it just felt great. now i cant go back to the J2K.
Alright, I ordered mine with your code and on the strength of that review. Looking forward to a powerful hybrid paddle with low swing weight! If it has the juice of a 14mm paddletek I think I’ll be very happy
@@pkcheng5556yep, been playing with it and it is excellent. The power is great, the pop too but lesser so. It’s below the 12.7 paddletek for sure but definitely more than other power paddles I’ve used (16mm black diamond, thrive azul)
It didn't feel like it had a low swing weight to me. I played mine for the first time and it feels pretty head heavy in the hand. Static weight was 8.3 oz with just a tourna overgrip. But it had so much plow through on ground strokes and volleys I was shocked. It's giving my Ronbus Pulsar FX.R1 a run for its money for controllable power. I think Farmer's preproduction paddle was lighter with a lower swing weight than the production model.
Just a public service announcement titanium has no titanium in it. It’s actually polyester. I heard that on a podcast the other day figured I would share.
In the fish keeping hobby they have titanium heaters but there is very little titanium in the heating unit. In the end I'd like for materials to be labeled what they actually are but if they play good then that's what most consumers want. I just wish there was more transparency.
@@FarmerLankyPickleball I get what you're saying, but it will be interesting to see what companies who have been advertising that material as "titanium" will do about it. Sadly, my guess is: nothing. Which would essentially amount to lying to customers. I hope I'm wrong.
@@FarmerLankyPickleball Justin and Louis dropped the dirty “it’s poly” secret on Pickleball Pursuit podcast. 🤣 Now that Justin is a free agent … hope for whistleblower unchained.
@@FarmerLankyPickleball Sometimes you can have too much transparency … I’m thinking of a particular paddle review video with cow on cow in the background. That was genius btw … I haven’t missed one of your reviews since. 🤣
Mine hasn't. Still hits the same and it's been over a month on the prototype and I'm letting people abuse the production model and it's not changed yet either. The paddle starting to hit harder long term is still to be determined though
It doesn’t have the characteristics of the gen 3 Joolas that got those paddles delisted. Pickln states they’ll refund or exchange the Alecto3 if it fails USAP approval.
Can you confirm what warranty is on the Alecto 3 Red? The verbiage on their site says risk-free 6 month guarantee but I’m skeptical if they cover wear & tear.
@@kabob21 did u pay attention to the details? He said the pop is similar to the 14.3mm but only said top 5 power for hybrid. Power and pop are completely different things.
Thanks for covering this one! Excited to try it out!
Great review - another good value line with quality. Why people are buying expensive paddles, I have no clue.

Great review as per usual! Very informative😮
Hey farmer is this the feel of the Alecto 3 on the stiffer or softer side? Thanks!
I would say on the stiffer side compared to most gen 2 paddles
I used a J2k and wanted to get your opinion on where that paddle fits interms of pop and control to either the alecto blue or gen 3 paddles.
Great review. How is it compare to HUDEF Mage Pro Gen2?
@Farmerlankypickleball Is it safe to a assume this paddle has a linear power band?
Can you update us on whether this gen 3 becomes more powerful with extended use - like the joolas?
Mine hasn't. Still hits the same and it's been over a month on the prototype and I'm letting people abuse the production model and it's not changed yet either. The paddle starting to hit harder long term is still to be determined though
Alecto3 or Spartus Olympus for controllable power?
Alecto 3 is softer than Olympus but with comparable power
Nice review. Is this potentially risky? (USAPA Pending)

As a common sense, wear and tear is not covered.
@@pkcheng5556 Yeah I know but their site says risk-free guarantee not warranty. Meaning they'll take it back for any reason.
@@kabob21I think I saw their website has a link at the bottom about the warranty or return policy. It states wear and tear is not covered
@@pkcheng5556 Yeah I found the link after clicking around. A 30-day guarantee and 6-month standard warranty. Which is fine by industry standards.
how is the power on this? Does it comparable to the Paddletek ALC-W 12.7?
Watch the vid he compared it to the power of the Paddletek 14mm

It's nice to see this new paddle, but I prefer my HUDEF MAGE Pro Gen2.
