    2013-14 Kyriw Eye test is probably the best version of prime Kyrie. Only 22 years old his 3rd season in the league. This was the season he became a superstar. Elie Midrange game, crafty finishes, and the best ball handling skills in the game. He was unguardable offensively he could do everything and still make the right pass if needed.

    Hate the controversy portland has started in their win over cle. Damian Lillard is a great point guard and more athletic than Kyrie, but Kyrie is hands down a better player than Lillard.

    • @217ShowOffBoii
      @217ShowOffBoii 10 років тому +3

      This season? I don't think so. It's close though, but if you look at Advance Stats, Lillard has an edge.

    • @bungfoon
      @bungfoon 10 років тому +6

      I like watching Kyrie play more than Lillard, but I'd have to say that Lillard is a more solid PG, especially because he can play defense. Kyrie is a liability on the other side of the floor, giving Lillard the edge.

    • @EVshow
      @EVshow 10 років тому +4

      Lillard and kyrie are both fantastic players but you look what Kyrie has to work with and its pretty much nothing, there is no pressure on Lillard to be the Team carrier or all star, Portland have a solid roster atm and with Aldridge and Lillard doing there work, it provides a more relaxed environment for one another. Kyrie needs some more talent on his team

    • @bobmcdennis4535
      @bobmcdennis4535 10 років тому +1

      Definitely, when you watch lillard play he is able to get to his spots on the floor easier because no one wants to leave aldridge or even batum and mathews because they are good 3 point shooters. every time kyrie gets the ball he gets doubled. watch him drive and see 3 to 4 defenders sag off their pleyers to stop him. look at the difference between a lillard/aldridge pick and roll and a kyrie/varijao pick and roll. lillard is great but Kyrie is better. and younger too.

    • @bobmcdennis4535
      @bobmcdennis4535 10 років тому +1

      you could say that but i kinda disagree. Lillard is the second go to scorer so he pretty much has the green light as well. and having better teammates around him allows him to operate without the defense focusing too much on him. i would expect lillard might score a little more with the cavs but his efficiency and assists would go down imo

    This Kyrie before the 2015 finals injury is the best version of his self. Look how quick he is while he moves with the ball. He still has crazy handles but he doesn’t move as fluent and quick as he did from 2011-2014

    • @abtocool6350
      @abtocool6350 Місяць тому

      This is the most entertaining version but this nowhere near the best version, Brooklyn, Dallas and even Boston kyrie are better than this version. And this version is the worst defensively by a mile and as a passer and playmaker.

  • @chitownmo

    kyrie is not overrated as some so called experts and ignorant fans have said. he clearly is playing differently due to mike brown's system than under Byron scott. he is playing a more passive game at times where before he was more aggressive with the ball in his hands. when he has been aggressive he looks like kyrie of last year. when playing a patient game he is good but not the same player. unlike chris paul kyrie doesn't have any athletic finishers to capitalize off of his passes. waiters has been an issue as well due to their fight. brown needs to go. he is not a head coach. an assistant? yes. he is an exceptional defensive strategist but offensively he has been subpar since LeBron was in Cleveland. the lakers were slow even with their talent when he was there.

Excellent ball handling, passing, knows when to go to the basket & he can shoot from anywhere on the floor.! And he's Mr. 4th Quarter. Now just let his frame fill out a lil more & a lil more aggressive on D & he'll be one of the best!

      Destroy Lin in which department? They both are the top 5 most exciting point guard to watch in the NBA. Kyrie will have a slight advantage due to his ball handling/dribbling game. Kyrie and Lin energy on the court is explosive.
      In terms of one on one action; both are 50/50. Anyone can win.

      Kyrie and Lin yearly income are basically on the same threshold. They both make 8mil per year. I agree Kyrie is complete package. Both are rising stars, and still need improvement in their game on which field they lack of.
      Lin does need more developement in his game than Kyrie, coach Mchale has no faith in him. Therefore his progression will be slow.

    Spoelstra is getting on my last nerve now... WHY on earth was LEBRON on kyrie? SMH... Anyway Kyrie is amazing and he's my favorite player. If only he could play together with Wade. Kyrie doesn't deserve to stay in Cleveland, but I don't care where he goes as long as it isn't the Celtics or Knicks. Celtics because he would be benched (duh), or put as SG and I don't want that. Kinks because they play too much Isolation so he wouldn't really get the ball as much.

They'll be great when they get out of the small towns. I say Lakers next season with the great spotlight and rebuilding team. Or somehow landed in Houston.

    • @DeSeanBigBlueNation
      @DeSeanBigBlueNation 10 років тому

      CP3 actually made his teammates better and took the Hornets to the playoffs a few time while he was in NO. Another factor to consider is the Hornets play in the western conference. Kyrie Irving is a good player, but as the "superstar" player for the Cavaliers he doesn't do a great job of making his team better. They suck when he plays and they suck even more when he doesn't play. LeBron never had a good supporting cast in Cleveland either, still had them in the playoffs every year and took a team of nobodies to the NBA Finals. People want to villianize LeBron but can you blame him for leaving? I sure as hell don't.

      DeSeanBBN well he played with Peja, Posey, Butler, David West and Tyson Chandler, Trevor Ariza and his BACK UP point guard was Darren Collison who can start for some teams as the starting point guard. Cp3's team was way better than Kyries right now,

    • @DeSeanBigBlueNation
      @DeSeanBigBlueNation 10 років тому

      Shan Mustafa His supporting cast was better yes. However Chandler was not the same player then that he is now. Peja and Posey were out of their prime. Plus the Hornets had to win 45+ games just to compete for a 7 or 8 seed. Cleveland doesn't have to finish .500 to make the playoffs yet they still can't win enough games to get an 8 seed.

      theres no doubt about it. Paul is by far the better player. And in my opinion now that rose is in question Paul is the only point guard in the game good enough to have a championship caliber team centered around him as the teams best player (except maybe curry). No other point guard can single handedly win games consistently like him because hes a great scorer, play-maker, defender and leader. and hes clutch. the others lack in different areas. He doesnt have to score 25-30 to win because he does other things to get the W. all of the other best point guards are the 2nd or 3rd star on the team. Kyire is still one of the 10 if not 5 best point guards in the league right now in my opinion, but eventually he will need to play with a superstar (lebron if he comes back) or 2 other stars if hes going to have any playoff success. and btw i fucking hate chris paul

      Bob Mcdennis With Luol Deng now with the Cavs its time for them to turn their season around. Kyrie at the point is clutch, the way CJ Miles has been playing putting up 15-20 a game and shooting over 50% will be good, Luol Deng is a machine averaging the most minutes played per game in the NBA last year and can run the paint and the arc if he needs to, Tristan Thompson inside is averaging just over 10 points per game and a little less than 10 rebounds per game and we all know Varejao inside is an offensive animal we he gets the ball. Plus Jarrett Jack and Dion Waiters leading the bench Jack being a 3 point threat and Dion is able to do everything its hard to stop them and the way Tyler Zeller has been playing recently he's improved a lot. If we can get another big man in the upcoming draft or in free agency to either start ahead of Varejao or put on the bench to support the back court we'll be solid. Working with Anthony Bennett a little more could be useful to because he can be productive crashing the offensive board but needs to get used to the NBA more and settle down and play like a PF should, not a SG. If LeBron comes back next year after we make a push at the playoffs this year there is no doubt that Cleveland will be the best team in the NBA

      it was tristan tomphson who can barely shoot from midrange and he was standing at the 3 point line. being a good pointguard is knowing the spots your teammates can score from and not only pass to the wide open man.

      Bla Bleo I'm a Cavs fan, but even I can acknowledge dudes tunnel vision. I'm not sure if it's due to him being asked to be that way, or if he'd rather be a human highlight reel, but Dion gets the rep that Kyrie actually deserves. Dion would've passed that. Also, that wasn't Tristan Thompson, that was Earl Clark (who can hit that shot).

    I remember that guy! Yeah, he was good *when he plays* . Also won a championship with Lebron leading the team. Thought he could lead a team too but the Celtics got deeper in the playoffs whit him not on the roster and oh, he’s so good at leading teams, he got the Cavs *2 top picks* before Bron came back. I hope he’s enjoying his retirement.
