I wish they would remaster this movie, it is a true classic. ... and I adore Victor Rory, the man was absolutely an excellent actor, one of the very best in his era.
*This is such a good movie, so before it's time and complete with the best actors, one in particular whom equally played a villain and hero roles to acclaim.* *Victor Jory (his energies speak through time), he and William Powell are my 2 favorites from the era. An era that recognized personality as valuable, possibly moreso, than Physical beauty.* An upgrade in film and sound would offer a whole higher viewing experience, yet it is superb as is ...
I'm no fashion expert, but I wonder why the lady's gown always have a large flower like decoration attached to her behind. Wouldn't it be uncomfortable when she sits down, and the flower would be crushed?. Just wondering!
Throughout history, as it is today, fashion dictates that certain body parts are seen as more attractive if they are emphasized, and different means are used to make them look larger. In this case, ruffles, bow, and bustle, to make the dérierre look larger! Women aren't the ones. Look up King Henry VIII's codpiece...talk about vanity! I can't imagine that would be comfortable either!
jeff jin. the flowers were affixed to make the back look bigger and pertruding, a kind of sexy symbolic gesture in those days, to be found attractive, hope this clears it up.

Always liked Richard Dix movies. Rod Cameron a bonus, also Victory Jory who was a great man, parent, spouse & actor. Thank you for posting this movie.
It's always about greed. I really enjoyed this movie. Everyone had a great part to play, even some comedy from Bones. Good movie.

+Jeff Jin to look more attractive
In fashion world vanity equals pain. Stand up all times or sit on edge only.
