AI grading, it won’t work in general. No matter what it won’t work. The detail steps is hard to replicate by machine. And the understanding of the card how they were created. PSA is the standard because It has the most used company, however their standard and service is the best amount the all, but but it is not a good standard and service. There will be a better grading service to give accurate standard and good service. That is 99.99% permanent grade after slab. When the company is out next year, I let you know.
I appreciate you making this video. We don’t always win and people never like to show their loses. It happens to us all. Good luck on the future regrades!
It's really great that you are so honest, thank you very much for the content and my condolences for the grades. YES! Please show us how you crack your slabs, that would be great
Appreciate the honesty, I think PSA has gotten harder on the WOTC cards. I recently had a PSA 9 Base Char and a PSA 9 1st Ed Dark Char Holo that I thought could get 10s both come back as 8s this time. Very rough, but the theory jives with what you experienced as well.
OUCH! I have done quite a bit of cracking/resubmitting myself. This is a prime example to show people who say PSA grades easier than their competition. It really comes down to whoever looks at your cards. It is not the companies as a whole, but whoever (randomly mostly) gets assigned your cards to grade. Excellent content as always Papa!
So I’ve got a separate question for you … what are your thoughts on the UPC gold metal Charizard and Pikachus?? Their gem rate is insanely low and the pop is low as well. Movers and shakers?
I’ve had awful luck with scg graded cards. Bought multiple scg 10s that would come back as 8 at best from psa due to whitening and or edge issues. It’s crazy..
I say that Charizard most likely deserves a 9 if the surface looks clean. Possibly a 10 but there is a small white dot on the bottom right corner. You probably can resubmit it and see what you get. I submitted my evolving skies Glaceon alt art to PSA and they gave me an 8. I was 100% certain there were no issues whatsoever, so I decided to resend it to PSA to get a second opinion. 2nd time they gave me a 10.
Unfortunately I commented early because I thought this was a Win video for you. After watching I see this is a Loss video. Regardless my comment remains true. I still love these videos. Showing the differences between companies and re-grades. It's good to see how these harsh companies will grade over time as well. So having video will be great. I actually have about 20 cards I need to crack and re-grade. When I eventually get around to it I will post a video like this. Best of luck in your next submission!
PSA seems to grade really hard on surface. Which is frustrating for two reasons. First it’s the hardest defect to detect and see on a card. Second it’s the defect that probably matters the least to card owners. One day I’ll understand why they seem to care so much about it.
Mistake sending to PSA. They obviously do a pop control. I've seen some of the mintiest vintage cards get a 7 or 8. 9 if you're lucky. The worst I saw was a 4 for a few white corners but everything else was clean. Its nice for me because I crack them and binder them and if I want I submit elsewhere if its my PC.
I agree with the dark Charizard. That card should have been a 9 at minimum. I also do not see why the pichu didn’t get a 9 or 10. I don’t see any flaws from the video.
It’s a racket. There is no incentive for psa to grade it higher. Too easy for them to send it back in original slab and to say sorry, didn’t meet the standard. They get their money either way.
PSA does not give high grades for vintage even if the card is perfect. It feels gatekeep. Maybe someone really high up as a lot of money in vintage. It has to be controlled.
Great Vid man. What grading tier were these sent? Sounds like you went lower tier route? It seems like my subs have gotten very harsh grading for $300+ raw cards in the value tier grading pricing. Just curious if others have noticed that trend.
Will NEVER understand why SGC slabs are priced so low...They are just as experienced and reputable as PSA. They are even owned by the same company! Baffling! SGC slabs even look better! IMO!

Absolutely want to see your process for cracking cards, thx
A million videos on UA-cam for that
I've done something very similar, cracking 9-9.5s from CGC and BGS - haven't had much luck either.
PSA are clearly extremely harsh on vintage cards.
It's really great that you are so honest, thank you very much for the content and my condolences for the grades.
YES! Please show us how you crack your slabs, that would be great
I’ve cracked some but I’m not always convinced I’m doing it the best way. Would love to see that cracking video!
Grader definitely had a bad day; appreciate your positivity throughout and withing ya gl on next submissions!
No way your into pokemon i used to watch you all the time in glory days of clash Royale
I like the video idea, and the transparency! Sorry about the tough grades! I wonder if the pichu in “Italian” is worth anything as an error?! 😂

Sorry my friend. I feel that pain all the way from NC! Thanks for sharing and your transparency. Wishing you the best on the next round!
Loved this video! It’d be great to see you crack open some slabs and describe the process. Best of luck in your future submissions, PPP! Thanks!

I think just shows and confirms not to send older cards to psa because they’re going to purposefully give them lower grades
I think it’s just because PSA is more strict on vintage cards and they used to be
Exactly this, I think if they were modern then it would’ve been a better experience but who knows.
Full respect for being honest person :)
Great video bro, showing the reality of cracking slabs. Been there done that got worse grade from the previous uncrack grade also lol
So I’ve got a separate question for you … what are your thoughts on the UPC gold metal Charizard and Pikachus?? Their gem rate is insanely low and the pop is low as well. Movers and shakers?
Great video! Unfortunate on the grades, you'll get em next time!

Loving the content lately! Can i vote to upgrade the face camera quality especially now that your channel has grown so much
Very insightful. Thanks for sharing!
Had a SGC 9 Pikachu XY promo and cracked it. Came back a PSA 8! It’s hard for me to send it back for regrade.
Sorry for the bad luck, Ryan. Good luck with your re-submits!
Yes a video of cracking cards would be nice
I’ve also heard that they are harder on “vintage” cards
Would like to see how you crack slabs.

These videos are the bee knees! Need more people doing them.

Psa pop controls vintage

A lot of card collectors value surface the most since it is the only grade that speaks to the quality of the image/artwork...
I'll take a cgc pristine 10 over a psa 10 slab all day
I’ve had the same luck cracking slabs learned the hard way
I just cracked a bunch and submitted too. Unfortunately I messed up two of them but it’s a learning experience
9 minutes in the video..... tough grader. Would love to see a part 2 where you crack all 7 again
Thanks for taking one for team and still uploading! Entertaining video as usual
the zard and gengar u can see the spots on the back the gengar even has dirt spot on it also
also the mewtwo the back is messed up
I’m like the new type of video. Sorry for the outcome. 👍🏻
You win you lose. Part of the hobby.
Awww nooo snipped by the grading gods!! Crack and resub time!!!
Thanks for sharing!

Why not do crossover? They only crack if it gets higher.
It’s a racket. There is no incentive for psa to grade it higher. Too easy for them to send it back in original slab and to say sorry, didn’t meet the standard. They get their money either way.
Additionally they charge you $40 per card!
Thanks very interesting
Labeling an English card as Italian is insane 😂 I bet someone would want that
You lived in USA, go for PSA all the WAY!
For me I feel like the new stuff you just get 10s so easy and old stuff they try to control population
I have a few cards to cross grade but I lost some hope here ngl
🙌
P.S.A. - Please Submit Again
I did the same wish me luck

It sounds like your grader was having a bad day bro
Id crack and send charizard again
So moral of the story: CGC is crap and don’t buy or try to regrade.
Will NEVER understand why SGC slabs are priced so low...They are just as experienced and reputable as PSA. They are even owned by the same company! Baffling! SGC slabs even look better! IMO!
That only happened this year. Maybe they will move up the ladder now.
SGC in TCG is like CGC in sports.
Crack!!
