Jumper Cable Faults I guess. When the cable suffers, a weird scream accompanies with the main hum. Yet, the weird sound actually it enhances the Jet Turbine sound, making it sound even more poeerful and deadly, somewhat like a TF39 (used in C5 Galaxy) or CF6-50C2 (used in DC-10-30 or Airbus A300)
Could be it.. but the loco was making same sounds even when not connected in multi. It was working with a loss of around 700HP. Rated at 4500 but output was 3800.
Great capture of EMD's humming, idling and action. BTW when and why the shed code got changed from LKO to AMV and then to DLSA? In older days Diesel Locos from Lucknow NR diesel shed used to be marked with LKO instead of AMV or DLSA.
Since almost 95% electrification of IR tracks are over 2023 end, they are using Diesel Loco sheds for maintaining E Locos also alongwith D Locos. Only E locos are designated with LDH, ED, HWH etc. Some E locos stabled alongwith D Locos in Diesel Loco sheds are designated as EDLS, (ex ED shed) PA as PADX , etc. Alambag Loco shed was carved out of LKO Diesel shed and it is stationing both D locos and E locos. Thanks
These are the best liveried 4500 HP EMDs on the IR. Both powers have additional headlamps below the side buffers.
Beautiful looking locos.

@@ProtkarshKumar that is a huge loss. No point in running the locos and aggrevating the issue.
Excellent stuff.

@@rajanrg thanks, so AMVD and DLSA are the same shed that earlier marked LKO on it's D locos. Hope we see E locos as well, from this shed.
AMV is the on paper shed code for Alambagh Diesel Shed. I think this is since last 10 years or so.

Feels like SD40-2 😁
