  • 👉Sopron is a city located in western Hungary, near the border with Austria. It is the capital of the Sopron county and has a population of around 60,000 people.
    👉The city has a long and rich history, dating back to Roman times. It was an important trading center during the Middle Ages and was heavily fortified due to its strategic location near the border. Today, Sopron is a popular tourist destination, known for its well-preserved historic center, charming streets, and beautiful architecture.
    👉In 1676, Sopron was destroyed by a fire. The modern city was born over the next few decades, when Baroque buildings were built to replace the destroyed medieval ones.

    Esterházy Palace in Temple Street, Orsolya Square and Maria Fountain. The city also has several museums, including the Sopron Museum, Forestry Museum Sopron and the Pharmacy Museum.
    👉Sopron is also famous for its wine production. The region surrounding the city is known for its vineyards and wineries, producing some of the best wines in Hungary.
