My grandmother lived in rural Missouri and a bull wandered onto her property. She went after it with a pitchfork to get it to leave. Well, it charged her and she barely made it into the house. She was probably around 85 years old when that happened. She wasn’t afraid of anything. But in reality, a pitchfork at a bull probably wasn’t one of her best moves. Ha.

In college, my landlord had the meanest gander. The property had a creek running through a culvert under the back yard. Brooms were kept EVERYWHERE for self-preservation. That old gander came after me one time, and I picked him up and dropped him in the creek. I could hear him honking as he passed under the yard. He respected me after that!

Lester, when I was 16 yrs old and living on the farm. While on one of our horse riding we took once a week. I was riding my Welsh Pony Patches bareback like I always did. I’ve always loved ridding bareback. But my sister’s Quarter horse who was in front of me, decided to stop, back up and tried to kick my pony. Instead I was the one getting kicked very hard in the knee. I told my mom and sister to keep going, I’ll meet them back home. After taking care of Patches, all I could do was hop into the house. My knee was swelled up like a balloon! Mom and sister came back. Mom put ice on my knee. For a week I still couldn’t put weight on leg so mom took me to the doctor. Turns out I had a dent in my knee cap! All he did was wrap up my knee and I had to stay off my leg for couple more weeks and continue to ice. Today I get a lot of snap and crackles from it when I walk. Sometimes it will hurt, at times it feels like it’s on fire. I now suffer arthritis from that kick many years ago from a horse. So that’s my memory. We all pay the price from injuries we’ve gotten.

I had 2 black labs, 4 yr old brothers. I was traveling in an 18 wheeler when at a truck stop I was walking the boys. 2 leashes in my left hand when they spot a puppy across the asphalt parking lot and took off at the same time. They pulled my arm out of place and I had terrible road rash. But I never let go, cause they were runners and we were states away from home. Ouch, this was over 10 years ago and I still have a hard time with my left arm. It's all good. Keep doing you buddy.

When I was about 9 years old, we were walking to our church for classes when a HUGE German shepherd broke his thick chain, dragging it behind him. It wrapped around my leg and I fell face forward to the sidewalk breaking my nose. Thank God I had my loose leaf binder that my forehead hit. If I didn't have that binder I would have had my nose smashed all over my face. That's how strong an impact it was.

We have goats ourselves. We had rescued two bucks from a horrible life of being chained up in a 4×8 space. They were tangled in each other's chains. Boy when they got here and seen freedom it was something special. Lol then I started to understand why they were tied 😅 even tho I would NEVER do that and I personally don't agree with it. Well We will hear prancing around above us, at first counting the kids like who's upstairs!? Bobo and Bluey (kids named them)love getting up on our two and half story roof! They've chased down the neighbors kids..we heard screaming and looked out the window and saw that they got out of the pasture.. and were chasing these little kids. They've gotten out and went through the woods two miles to stand on the main street in our little town, stopping traffic and trying to ram anyone who tried to get them to move off the middle of the road. They probably are causing trouble right now as I type this.

My neighbor was chasing me and I was running so fast to get home and I had to cross the road, I didn't even look both ways and he caught me right at the road, he pushed me from behind and I slid across the paved road face first and my knees were bleeding and skin was just scrapped off, there were little stones embedded in my knee. My sister was in the yard and saw what he did and she kicked his butt. I was like 7 and he was about 12, I was a little girl and he was a big boy. I still have scars on my remaining leg. He is a good friend of mine now I see and talk to him all the time....just a little story of my childhood....😊❤

Lester, I have never been chased down by a farm animal. Though I was hissed as by a mean female goose once, at a self pick tomato farm. But I was chased by a golden retriever when I was maybe 8yrs old, his name was Cookie. Mean old dog that lived 2 houses down. He would always get out, all the time. I was riding my 3 speed bicycle, back in the days kids stayed outside to play. Cookie came out of no where and chased me down. I panicked and rode my bike off into the grass. My front tire hit a hole in the ditch and I flipped over the handle bars. When I landed on my back, it knocked all the wind out of me. Cookie then disappeared, think he knew he messed up. The owner came running out and helped me up. I was ok, just sucking in air and scared half to death. Never went near the house ever again.

I was given a chicken for Easter, I think I was about 5 years old. It was the sweetest chicken I had ever met. In fact, it would sit on my shoulder as I would ride my tricycle. It finally aged enough to go to the farm , and be safe. It ate chickrn scratch, leftovers, and whatever it foraged for. It even ate spaghetti with noodles hanging out its beak. This darn crazy chicken was a rooster and he would run us all over the yard. It was a true fear for me for several years.😅 My parents and grandparents thought it was histerical.😂

I don’t have any experience with an animal chasing me. But my dad had an incident with a rooster when he was a child on the farm. The old rooster was constantly chasing him, which made him afraid of it and annoyed. One day as the rooster attacked him, he threw a corncob at it, and popped the rooster in the head. The rooster dropped to the ground. The little boy, my dad, thought he killed it, so he ran into the barn and hid for a long time. After a while he cautiously walked outside. The rooster was gone, it was across the yard with the hens. He was very relieved, he thought he was going to be in major trouble, but everything turned out alright. He refused to eat chicken ever since then, his entire life.

Ringo ❤ is my #1. He is my spirit animal. I have been chased by a turkey. My Grandaddy Enlow has a free range guard turkey that was mean. He makes Cornholio look like a canary. Roosters and Hens alike chased me because I would follow the hens around to steal their baby chicks. Our Welsh pony was jealous of me and my Mom. When I would be in the pasture with Mom she would try to run me down. Any other time she didn’t bother. I could catch her, ride her anytime as long as my Mom wasn’t along by my side. I grew up on a cattle farm, the cattle wasn’t really an issue.

I had a Shetland Pony named Domino and she was a character...She was pretty sure she was a full sized Palimino and was as stubborn as could be... Her big delight would be to either gallop towards the clothesline to knock me off or run along the electric fence so I would get shocked ..loved spaghetti and would pound away on the dutch door if she smelled it...yep,she could open the doors...As mean as she was...I still smile when I think of her!

When I was about 2 years old, I got 2 chicks for Easter. They grew up to be large white roosters that followed me around like puppies, crowing and waving their wings. They let me dress them in doll dresses and pull them around in a wagon. A neighbor stole them because his rooster died. I heard them crowing and told my mother where they were. She went with me and recognized their crowing, and threatened to call the police. The neighbor tried to deny the theft. I called my roosters names and they came flying to me. They walked behind me, crowing, all the way home.

This gave me a terrible fear of domestic birds, not outside birds as they didn’t come close enough. Remember I had to call into work and tell them I was going to be late to work because the cows got out. And by the time help got there we had them back in their pasture and even got a farmer's son to fix the hole temporary till my folks got home.

Rings makes us laugh. I do remember a red rooster that chased my mom when I was a little girl. We lived on a farm back in the day. Mom would take the laundry to hang out and the red rooster would peck my mom’s ankles. He always came up to me and would eat out of my hand but for some reason did not like my mom. Lol

I know this will sound crazy but that baby roll of hay is too cute. I think Ringo might need his own salt block. I mean, he is, after all the Ringo. Love him. My cousin Laureen used to tell a story about looking after her brother Phil's (also my cousin) pig farm for a few days. She went in to a particular field to feed up when this big ol sow got after her, making her literally run for her life. You have to know Laureen to really appreciate it (she was a real character).

headless turkey chase me around the backyard as a child. My father had just rent it over the other side and it up and chased me. I assume it was the vibration of my little feet running for there life but it happened. It only stopped cause I ran up on the steps. To this day I'm afraid of all birds.

Yes, a rooster had me pinned in an outhouse when I was a kid and visiting a friend who lived on a farm. Every time I tried to get out he would attack me.
Ringo is Ringo and you gotta love him. He is so much better after he got snipped though.

I still remember (I'm 58 yr) being chased by a Gander (male goose) up a 6 ft wooden fence, I was 5 yrs old at the time and I scrambled up it with no problems; I remember being so scared that I didn't realize that I had fallen off the other side of the fence into a pile of dried old holly leaves. It was my job to feed the chickens and ducks, plus the goose.

Ringo will always be KING of the pack. I use Himalayan salt chunks in a light. Supposed to eliminate negative energy. Ringo says my salt now. My time with Daddy. I was chased by a goose. Had to carry a pail to protect myself

Our neighbors 2 doors down had a big German Shepard. I was 10 or so walking away from that house on the side walk, and this dog jumped and came right on my back and knocked me down. I never saw it coming, he turned around and i walked home and I guess cried to my mom. i never did anything to that dog. He just felt the impulse to pounce.

My australian shepherd Dusty was in a room that I had been laying tile down in.He pushed the door open to check out what I was doing in there, and I guess went in to offer his assistance 😂I asked him why he was in there and he ran full speed ahead to exit the room, right into my right knee tearing the meniscus muscle, ouch.I still walk with a limp several years later. But even though he is no longer with me any more,I still love him and miss the little guy.😅

I had a pony when I was little, my moms mean goose pulled me off the pony then went after my mom. Years later my landlady had a mean goose where I lived, even after the gooses foot was broken by a horse that arnry goose would come after you. Back to being a little girl, my mother also had a mean goat, I couldn't go out of the main yard unless that goat was penned up.
    ❤❤❤Love to all

I went sledging in a farmers field in our village every year, all the kids from the village went there with their bin bags to sledge 😅 well one year a boar wasn't too happy I was there. All the other kids ran to the fence before me and was screaming for me to run whilst this angry boar was on my heels. I made it just in time and burst into tears (I was about 10) from then on, I never went back in that field and just watched whilst everyone enjoyed themselves sledging 😅 🐗

Me and a friend visited a friends stable and we were loving on a horse waiting for someone to show up. We went into the barn and they had a big goat named Ditto who chased up into the tack room and wouldn’t let us out. We were in there for at least 30 minutes before our friend showed up and locked the goat in a stall.

I was chased by a goose when I was about 5 years old. That thing pinched the Baa Jeebies out of me. My husband remembers a rooster chased him and jumped on him while pecking his head. Apparently, he was picking on him and the rooster got the last laugh.

As a teenager we had a pair of ducks, we named them Rufus & Doofus. I could not go out in the backyard with bare feet because they’d chase me around the yard trying to bite my toes. It didn’t matter what I’d do to them they kept coming at me. But when I had shoes on my feet they wouldn’t bother me.

Ringo is the man for sure. He will let you know whose boss. I had a mare, Lucy, who was what we called a barn horse. Meaning, if you were going to ride her you keep her out of sight of the barn because once she saw it, no matter where you were, she would take off to a full gallop heading home. I was riding her one day, not paying attention, and she caught sight of the barn. Off she went. I was holding on for dear life and because we were in a different pasture a fence blocked her way. Came to a full stop and over her head I went and landed on the other side of the fence. That was a long time ago and I am still paying the price of that ride. But I loved her anyway. We never broke her from that habit. Just thankful the fence was low and I didn't land on my head. But if you have ever had the breath knocked out of you, you know what I mean.

🙋‍♀️🙋‍♀️ I’ve not been chased. But I was standing and talking with one of my brothers when his neighbors dog went around behind me and bit me on the back of my leg. I wasn’t afraid of dogs after that but I was leery of any dog getting behind me. Then my other brother had 4 horses crowd around me when he doing some work on their feet and he quietly said to get myself out of there because it could become a dangerous situation, just don’t move fast…🤷‍♀️❤️ I was an adult in both situations. We didn’t have animals when I was growing up.
