Why English is important ?
Some of you who are from metros may find this topic less important but there are lots of students and corporate employees who come from vernacular medium, like me and now are facing this problem. Only I can understand their pains, because I have gone through this hell.
In addition, I have seen many students and corporate employees lose many opportunities due to this weakness. Even I have lost many in my career.
Students who are looking for good campus placement (freshers), but are poor in communication skills suffer a lot. I meet many students daily who come to me and narrate how they were ignored in an interview because of poor English, although they had excellent academic credentials.
Same situation is in corporate field. Many sincere, intelligent, hardworking, and honest employees do not get the package or the post which they think they deserve. The reason is presentation skills in English in front of their boss or in a meeting. Along with all above qualities, they must have one more skill and that is Mastery in English.
We have to accept the change in the air, or else we will be wiped out. America is not pushing English but the world is pulling English. I am very proud of my mother tongue but I will also respect the change and embrace it (accepting English).
This is not a typical inspirational channel which only shouts, “do it”, “do it”, but here I will tell you “why,” and “how,” to do it. I will share some of the most effective and tested methods to develop your English skills.

Sir, which is important , speaking or writing or both , because I am a 40 years man and I am working as a messenger cum driver in a govt project in Guwahati, though I am a graduate and also diploma holder in logistics management and I worked as a booking counter staff in a renowned courier company. but due to my poor English communication I couldn't become a permanent employee of the company, and also didn't get any better job so far.
