Boston Rob and Colby face off in a head to head showdown in Survivor All-Stars Tale of the Tape Boston Rob: 5'10" Colby Donaldson: 6'1" Winner: Boston Rob (KO)
I'd argue this was the initial turning point from Colby being a challenge beast to the sad sack he was in HvV. He did beat Rob in the 1 sumo challenge, but otherwise was an absolute wet noodle after this moment.
I'd like to believe Colby summoned up exactly enough humiliated, anguished revenge power to beat Rob in the HvV sumo by remembering this precise moment, and then it left him as quickly as it came.
Colby lost so much weight from Australia and never seemed able to gain it back for some reason. That was a brutal season. He looks like a shell of what he was from that first season he competed.
Only reason Colby became a challenge beast in Australia was because he played against old men and women. Would have been a different turnout in individual challenges if Kel and Skupin were around after the merge.
Boston Rob's foot hit the water first. Slowed the video down to .25 speed and then froze at 21 seconds into video. Boston's foot hit just a split second before Colby's hand hit. Just sayin'.
Are we going to talk about how the first point of impact on the water was Robs foot or are we just going to acknowledge that Jeff and Rob are practically a couple and let it go?
Come on - he literally picked the guy up and spiked him in! I’m not really a huge fan of Rob, but for the spirit of the challenge I’d give him that one no question
@@kevinebert1439 so... I WOULD be inclined to agree with you, if i wasnt 100% certain that if roles were reversed that Rob would have still been given the point.
The main difference is that Colby still has the looks, while Bosten Rob got the dadbod. But a beautiful wife and 4 kids are a good reason for a dadbod.
@@breathingbear Jeff admitted he called this one wrong when people did go over the tapes. But in the challenge live everyone just went with it because you had to put it in slow motion to realise he called it wrong.
Pause and slow-mo around 0:21 . Everyone knew Rob hit the water first, even during the live broadcast. I'd never sign the "whatever producers decide goes" contract - unless I was sleeping with a producer at the time.
colby got payback in heroes vs villians. he beat rob in a stand up fight knocking him in the mud without going in himself. robs win was kinda cheap because his foot actually touched the water first but you know jeff is gonna call that one for his man crush.
1) robs a villain so lol, 2) i wouldnt be proud of anything colby does in heroes vs villains and tyson put it, he was bodied by coach might as well start trying on dresses
@@sockmonkeyjg 1) colby got owned by coach and needed a dress. 2) colby owned rob so rob needs a mini skirt after getting owned by a guy in a dress. 3) russell outsmarted tyson, rob, and coach and sent em all home in heels.
While Rob technically lost, he literally just picked Colby up and piledrove him into the water. By virtually any metric, Rob absolutely destroyed Colby here. Colby did not deserve a point for this lol
@@trump-totalwar6509 Coach pushing Colby was more a function of Colby being stupid than anything. He wasted all his energy dragging coach from the end towards the mats, so he was absolutely gassed by the time Coach decided to make his move and pull him to the villain mat. I wouldn't rly say Russell outsmarted Rob given the only reason it happened was Tyson essentially voting himself out by accident lol
If you look closely, Colby's right hand touched the water basically at the exact same time as Rob's foot. If it's basically a tie, you have to give the point to Rob because..... well he literally piledrove him into the water lol
@@sleeperagent3931 I think before this game began, Jeff explains all the castaways the rules and mentions that there are certain fighting positions that will determine who hits the water first. Even though Rob's leg touches the water first in very slowmo, Colby's entire body is submerged into the water first before Boston Rob

@@therealpapacoco yeah plus he was winning rewards and eating well to give him extra energy.
He just stopped caring lol he wanted to go home in All-Stars and was just kinda there in HvV.
Literally pickes up the guy😂
All Stars - Rob
Heroes Vs Villains - Colby
heroes vs villains deserve for Russel to win or Parvati.
@NightStorm12 Yes they literally carried Sandra
Boston Rob was a savage in that season.
Rob was amazing in All Stars, really deserved to win
Yes! Only reason he didn’t was because people were so pissed at him for what he did to Lex but he still almost won.
@@jeremykrause9443
He backstabbed mostly everybody in his alliance, not just Lex.
Bring back these type of challenges

Don't act like you discovered that on your own. It's common knowledge.

Go Boston Rob!
They are one of 3 pairs to have competed 2 times together and never be on the same tribe. Amber and Ethan and Sandra and Cirie are the other 2.
They’re both hot. Except one is a hero & the other is a villain.
The main difference is that Colby still has the looks, while Bosten Rob got the dadbod. But a beautiful wife and 4 kids are a good reason for a dadbod.
if you put this video in slow motion you could see that Boston Rob touched the water first
jeff would never give colby the win though he favors rob
@@breathingbearnah it would be hard to see anyways but Colby looked like he went down first

I'm surprised they even had challenges like this back then. This is so dangerous and you could really injure yourself
Heroes vs villains summed up
That’s like no problem
6 years later at the time they would fight again and Colby won this time
Go Colby Donaldson!
How is Colby west coast? Gulf coast maybe, though even that’s a stretch.
Colby moved to California after he got famous on Survivor.
this is when Jeff’s man crush changed

Rob had to impress his crush somehow
Texas west coast? Really Jeff?
By that time Colby lived in California.
