So many of the stories told on this show, and stories I have heard elsewhere, would not happen if people told the main characters of the story that a place is dangerous rather than not telling the main anything, not telling the main useful information about the thing, or telling the main "you shouldn't go there" and not give any further reason. I love these stories and I mean no disrespect towards your channel but, holy crap, that commonality between stories is frustrating as all hell.
It's not just you. It's basically a meme on 2chan that 90%+ of stories wouldn't exist if people just said why you shouldn't go somewhere rather than just "because I said so, so don't go" haha.
curiosity, some people are so eager and thrilled to wander in dangerous places, i'd say the main cause of this curiosity is the paranormal, had they been warned about a gang territory or an area that's filled with criminals, they wouldn't have gone
Kids curiosity and child murder seem to be a theme with a few of these cursed tales. I think it’s because of the campaigning that was done to stop child murder. The government worked with certain religious groups to turn it into a stigma, if I’m not mistaken. Linfamy has a video on this on his channel which includes Japanese culture and history.
