I got mine a week ago and it had an issue where a quadrant of the XHP70 was still lit (sub lumen) even when turned off, everything else works fine. Within an hour of reporting it, Sofirn promptly sent me a replacement free of charge. 👍
Thanks buddy. I went to test it for you just then, and no it doesn't stick to the fridge door. Only to thicker metal objects. The legs of a metal table for example. Car bonnet.
This looks like a great upgrade in every way. Is the USB-C port any easier to use? The old version the port is so deep a lot of cables won't fit, makes it tricky for using as a power bank. I think this may become one my favorites. I'll use the Wurkkos HD01UV for small day to day stuff, and this for when I want more light.
Hmm I don't have the original version but a regular USB-C cable works fine in mine. It's usually those with the rectangular-style plug that can get in the way.
Excellent review. What I don't find anyone pointing out though, is why on earth did Sofirn shift about the positions of the rotating ring? I own both of them, and it completely messes up the muscle memory! On the IF24 Pro turn it counter-clockwise from Lock to Main light. But on the IF23 Pro, you instead need to turn it clockwise from Lock to Main light - why oh why Sofirn, it's like you had two different separate teams working on these lights and not talking to each other? Lol... anyways, I wish they had stuck with the 5000K tint for the IF23 Pro as in the IF24 Pro, but that's a matter of personal preference of course. Seriously considering de-doming mine for a different tint and a tad more throw, or possibly swapping for a XHP 70.3 HI emitter with a warm tint. Otherwise it's a great light!
I just got my Emisar Da1K. It's similar to the D4K but is 1 emitter. I got XHP70.3 4000k. It's about 1/4" longer and the head is a little wider. Foggy TIR optic.
@DarrenYeoYT I have too many lights too. I have 8 Emisar and just ordered a titanium D4K 3500k 519a. I originally ordered 2 D4V2 then he came out with the 21700 D4K I had to replace my D4V2 because 21700 is better than 18650 IMO. Now I'm up to 9 Hank lights.
Just received mine from Sofirn and with the battery in, one of the main flashlight led is constantly flickering even when in the off position. Tried a different battery but still flickering even when not turned on. Wonder if i got a defective one. Wonder if anyone has this issue?
Love my if24 pro use it regularly however is the anodising better on the 23 as i only have look at mine and gets a dink mark. If they come out with a 4500 or 5000k im sold

That's a great response from them, I hear Wurkkos do the same thing as well :)
Same happen to me and 3 of my friends too!! I think 1st batch production have this same problem!
We want XHP70.3HI!!!😂
did you buy it from sofirn website direct?
@rndll. Mine does the same thing too. Gonna see if they will send me a new one since I just received it.
A lot of people have been waiting for this video! Thank you!
I hope you find it helpful, cheers :)
Great review! Thanks Darren!
The 5000 lumens wall of light is impressive! Sofirn, thanks for upgrading your new lights with Buck drivers.
Hey Gus, I'm glad you liked it! It's a no brainer now with regulated output :)
fantastic review! thank you Darren! Loves these lights, outstanding value
Thanks mate !
Crikey, a new Sofirn torch review!
Ta mate, have a little brekkie on me!
🔦
Thanks mate!! Yes decided to just post everything at the same time rather than schedule them in now.
Great review, thanks Darren
You're welcome Gary :)
we need a video comparing differences bwteen if23 and the If23pro
Ah I don't have the original
Hi. Excellent review!
What about the magnet? Can it hold horizontally in the fridge? The magnet in the IF24 Pro is very weak.
Thanks buddy. I went to test it for you just then, and no it doesn't stick to the fridge door. Only to thicker metal objects. The legs of a metal table for example. Car bonnet.
Yes, its too weak. 😂

@@DarrenYeoYT It is only a problem when I have cables with thicker heads. Mine is one the way so I guess I'll find out! LOL

The 70.3HI in this light would be awesome. I wonder how the beam profile would look 🤔
How does the side light on RGB mode for if23pro compare to RGB mode on if24pro?
Brighter! There's more LEDs.
nice one dude.. 👍👍
Thanks Jason
This or a nitecore edc29 for a self-defense light? With this one you get the bigger battery, but suffer with only 13kcd
For self defense, the Nitecore. It's got tactical shortcuts to 6500 lumen mode. This is more a general purpose light.
Thanks for the awesome review.
Cheers, I hope you found it helpful.

I'm still yet to get a hank light. One day :) I have too many already.

I’d definitely contact Sofirn customer service. Sound defective.

I would say the anodising is more or less identical in the 23/24 Pro!
@DarrenYeoYT thankyou for the insight. Much appreciated
IF23 Pro is perfect for catching a Sasquatch hiding behind a tree in the woods of America.
