There's a very long history of ethnic violence and nomadic tribal conflict in Sudan. African politics is complex. So, he failed. Everyone has failed in that particular region.
Clooney's heart is in the right place though. He's intelligent and he cares. Anyone like that will have a very tough time in current American politics. I can understand him not wanting to get involved.
I'm not a big fan of celebrities per se. But in George Clooney's case, I think he's just magnificent in all ways. I especially love how he really isn't egotistical at all and can talk to all and sundry. Keep doing what you're doing, George! 😊

Not just a pretty face! He’s the nicest, sweetest most fun person in Hollywood. I saw him nearly every day when I worked on the Warner Bros. Lot. His office was right behind mine. He always had a smile, a Good Morning, a Hi Ladies greeting. Never took himself seriously or too good to interact with un-famous studio employees. Just a nice person unaffected by his fame.
If I looked like him I would smile every day as well, in fact I think I would even sleep with a stupid smile on my kisser....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Didn't realize Wallace was 75 years old during this interview. He has aged well. I don't blame Clooney for thinking they were near equivalents in age. I would have put Chris in his early to mid 60s. Much respect to George. He grew up with what I feel were the proper ideals and parenting. It's sad that way too many children in America don't get proper parenting and a sense of purpose in life.

Fact check: First of all, the migrants who were bused to Martha's Vineyard were not seeking "legal asylum," which involves a specific legal process in which one must wait one's turn behind everyone else seeking LEGAL asylum. Those migrants crossed the border illegally. Period. Second fact check: despite the fact that they entered this country illegally, they were taken to a hotel, given clean clothing and the chance to clean themselves up, they were fed, and they were given a choice of where to go. There were interpreters present. Each migrant signed a paper saying that they CHOSE to go to Martha's Vineyard. At that time, there were over 50 ads in the local newspaper offering employment in Martha's Vineyard. The migrants were bussed there, let off the bus, and then could do whatever they wanted to do. Which is pretty damn great considering that they WERE IN THIS COUNTRY ILLEGALLY. Which used to be a crime. I personally got thrown out of Canada for overstaying my time. That's how countries operated when I was growing up, and how they should still operate. The US offers LEGAL asylum to more immigrants annually than any country in the world. So let's get our facts straight, Mr. Clooney.

Clooney is stunningly handsome but also comes across as an all-around really nice guy.
In terms of age, I think it depends on how much someone keeps up with health the rest of life. My father is 77 but still works full time, goes for daily power walks with my mom (also working in her 70s) and rides his bike for exercise and to catch the train. People who are of a certain age like 80 don't always need walkers.

We help disabled people (including me - I have 6 "invisible" disabilities due to an unexpected brain hemorrhage similar to an aneurysm that I had surgery for at age 12 - I try to stay positive and keep an optimistic attitude but I learn a lot from working to assist seniors as well as having volunteered to help others in the past.) Maybe that's why my college major was Sociology!

In America civility has gone out the window. Unfortunately alot of people voted for Trump and did not realize he has some serious issues- possibility a Narcissist. George acts young, because he is young at heart- no problem with that; who wants to be around a 60- 70 year old who complains about their health and is not fun to be around. I say stay young at heart till the day one passes away.

As a moderate to liberal type, I have to say that I really like Chris Wallace. Maybe his politics are more conservative than mine, but he is fair and thoughtful. And his interviewing style is calm and relaxed. And George Clooney; his humanity just speaks for itself.
All the fair and thoughtful ones have left Fox.

Not that I know Wallace's take on hot-button issues for Conservatives but I'm pretty sure he disagrees with the hardline stances the Nouveau Republicans take on issues like: Abortion, Immigration, national autonomy, geo-politics, voting rights, Etc.
Whether people like to admit it or not Trump is an important figure in our political history. He has re-defined what it means to be truly far right...Well not any more than Hitler did, but he's given it a new coat of paint and a goofy horn noise to mask how hateful and ignorant it is.
