    Good comparison video.
I own 3 Eberlestock packs, for hunting/carrying a rifle or bow in included scabbard, 72 hour backpacking trips and +5 day backpacking trips.
I like them alot (obviously as I have 3 of their packs!)
Eberlestock upgraded their shoulder straps by adding more padding, and are available to buy separately.
I much prefer front loading packs (i.e. suitcase style) as it is much easier to get to gear than a top loading (i.e. duffle bag) pack.

The Eberlestock bolt action rifle scabbard easily attaches to the side of the ILBE pack. They work well together when hiking into an area for camping and hunting.

I biught aq new ILBE after watching yours and Boondockery's videos therabout. It was a choice of it or a Savotta L and since the ILBE has the pockets it won out. Do I wish it had molle on the belt? YES! I would personally prefer it for adding a horizontal pouch for CCW purposes. IT was well wortyh the money spent though! Thank you for the info! Time to get out the chainsaw! Sad, but it happens. Couple great packs as well!

Those look like great bags. Are these used for long patrols?

Does the battleship have an assault pack that can mate up with it? I have a KarrimorSF 80-130L ruck in multicam that has the PLCE side pouches that can zip together to create a day pack but I would much prefer an attachable assault pack to go with the chest rig or web gear. I just don't want the woodland marpat, too dark. Another good video, thanks!

The Kelty Eagle would be a good comparison with these 2 packs.

eberlestock company recommends you to get battleship if you want ILBE style pack. They say conventional backpack-I would say Alpine style-with militaristic features. I got two ILBEs and Battleship. For me ILBE is more robust and stable on my back. Battleship gets pretty tall above your head which is good for heavy loading but gets unstable. I would pick battleship if I gotta pack for heavy winter backpacking trips with no worries of short of room for packing kitchen sink. I would recommend you to get front packs like Ribz when you use ILBE or FILBE with no webbings on the hip belt.

I have the ILBE and that pouch it the front is actually for carrying an assault pack that goes with it.

I'm looking at the eberlestock battleship on the website and they have no molle webbing like yours does. I wonder if there was a design change at some point.

yes. it has been updated. but the molle is just now the lasercut low profile stuff. eberlestock.com/collections/military/products/battleship

@renaissancemarinetv3536 alright so still functions like molle though? I was in and went alice to ilbe to filbe before getting out and I always loved the ilbe packs so want similar but like the separate sleep system area. Right now I'm using a budget mardingtop kit with filbe sustainment pouches

It's 10 mm molle webbing. Low profile but still does the job for attaching pouches.
