I remember I bought this CD single randomly, listening the though was I had just got a famous song I didn't know the name of. A lot of their songs were very well written and had the swagger of hits - not a "photogenic" or cool band, consciously so - but its odd how they didn't get a far bigger audience.
Wow. Brings me back great memories of the early 90's when this song came out. Unfortunately, these underrated British bands (Cud, Candyland, The Farm, Catherine Wheel, etc) were eclipsed by grunge rock in the USA. Thanks for posting!!
Xtro. A kindred spirit i see. Ive often said that early 90s mtv derailed a whole slew of interesting music from both the us and uk that really ought to have been bigger.
As the band have themselves asked in song; where would we be now, if we came from Manchester town? Ironically, another band around at the time, New Fads, also deserved to rule the world, but never achieved that and they were from Manchester
This never left my essential playlist. I'm often found driving down the A96 with this belting out at volume 11.

I turned 16 in 1991, Cud narrated my desires for years 🙂 The Auteurs are good too
Great. Bringing the good times back. And I adore the Extended Farsley mix 😍
This should have been massive, still play it now.
Yeah, this is like Roxy Music level good.
One of my fave songs.
Ahh the memories, back to early 90s.
They don't have to be memories, Jon. On tour still...
@@CUDband. indeed. See you at the Castle and Falcon
Good times.
@CUDband. But you don't come to Belfast. Well, you nearly did once about 30 years ago, but the gig was cancelled.
I loved this song 🙏🙏
That these guys weren’t huge is a crime.
After 30 yrs still listening to CUD, should have been a lot bigger but cant blame their outlook, par with the Rose's in my opinion, class tones
Drank in that pun on many occasions back in the early to mid ninties saw cud so many times
I had this as a single cassette. Always loved it. I heard another track tonight that had the same drum sample, and this came to mind.

Lol The Farm were utter shite.
You didn't get on the groovy train, was it full?

Filmed in the Observatory Bar on Leeds?
Yes, it was. Think it's an O'Neill's now.
Amazing band, from Leeds dx

Couldn't've put it better myself, love both of these bands.
