À l'occasion de ses 30 ans, et dans le désir de promouvoir la création musicale, la jeunesse et le patrimoine instrumental de l’église Saint-Sulpice à Paris, l’Association pour le Rayonnement des Orgues de l’église Saint-Sulpice organise, à compter du 10 septembre 2020 et jusqu’au 21 novembre 2021, jour de la finale publique, un concours de composition double.
Ce concours se compose de deux catégories :
- une œuvre pour grand orgue (« Catégorie 1 »),
- une œuvre pour orgue de chœur & voix (« Catégorie 2 »).
Un jury prestigieux présidé par Philippe Hersant sélectionnera 4 œuvres par catégorie qui seront interprétées lors d'une finale publique à Saint-Sulpice le 21 novembre 2021.
Au grand orgue, Shin-Young Lee et Yoann Tardivel interprèteront chacun deux pièces. À l'orgue de chœur, Loriane Llorca, Constance Taillard, Ronan Chouinard et Louis Jullien interprèteront chacun une pièce avec l'Ensemble vocal Sequenza 9.3 (direction Catherine Simonpietri).
Le jury décernera, pour chacune des catégories, un Premier Prix et un Second Prix. Les auditeurs voteront pour remettre un Prix du public. Comme pour tous nos concerts, le jeu des interprètes sera diffusé sur grand écran dans la nef et en direct sur Internet. Les internautes décerneront également un Prix.

To celebrate its 30th anniversary, and in order to promote musical creation, youth and the instrumental heritage of the Saint-Sulpice church in Paris, the “Association pour le rayonnement des orgues Aristide Cavaillé-Coll de l'église Saint-Sulpice, à Paris” organizes, from 10 September 2020 to 21 November 2021, the day of the public final, a double composition competition
This competition is made up of two categories:
- a work for great organ ("Category 1"),
- a work for choir organ & voices (“Category 2”).
A prestigious jury chaired by Philippe Hersant will select 4 works per category which will be performed at a public final in Saint-Sulpice on 21 November 2021.
At the great organ, Shin-Young Lee and Yoann Tardivel will perform two pieces each. At the choir organ, Loriane Llorca, Constance Taillard, Ronan Chouinard and Louis Jullien will each perform a piece with the choir “Ensemble vocal Sequenza 9.3” directed by Catherine Simonpietri.
The jury will award a First Prize and a Second Prize for each category. Listeners in the church will vote to award an Audience Prize. Like all our concerts, the performer’s performance will be broadcast on a large screen in the nave and live on the Internet. Internet users will vote to award an Internet users Prize
