But the classiic scholarship of SANTHANAM was though short lived,.but he created a storm in music circle by his wonderful journey. The cruel hands of fate snached him from us what a loss for us, the ardent lovers of carnatic music-V.S.SIVARAMAN, age 71, Hyderabad.
The purpose of the devotional songs is to use them as a means to salvation, I bet thyagraja swami would feel more offended if we sang without understanding the bhavam even if the song is sung perfectly as carnatic purist would consider.

I am not famous as the singer. not even comparable. they are proved legends. but to say this as the greatest version is very sad!! there are a lot sahitya mistakes. when it clearly is a 'pa' in the swara, why do such famous carnatic musicians make it 'ba'. don't know where to stop and not sure what the meaning of the words they pronounce.
