@@GKinWor nah, it's small talk, trust me, I'm worse than NL, there's no subject on Earth I cannot talk about for hours upon hours. I just know too much about everything... When you reach 2-3 hours on a topic, then it's not small talk any longer. But before that it's still small talk. My life is extremely dull but I could talk about literally anything such as paint drying on the wall for several hours. And keep people somewhat interested in the topic.
"This is not cause for mockery- this is just my life" is somehow the perfect embodiment of why NL's banter is as entertaining as it is
NL: "I'm a plumber"
Small talk mom: "Oh really I need help with our toilet"
NL: "I set my own hours"

@@JudgeDreadnaught ouch... ouch indeed. A good example of why one should never lie about ones profession. I'd rather say I'm a welfare recipient than lie about my profession, I mean it's semi-true in my case and it's 100% true in NL's case, other people's money do end up in our hands... I work for my nation's government, which means tax payers money go into my pocket, I find it ironic that I who hates taxes the most live on because of them, and NL well people give him their money, which is what I call modern day welfare.
This channel has really helped me recently. There was a shooting at my college and im still in shock. The routine of your videos is very comforting, and so is your commentary. Much love ❤️

10:20 those are legit just thought patterns of social anxiety youre describing here. Its so jarring, I never would have expected NL, the most confident and funny dude on youtube, to have moments like this as well. Gives me a lot of perspective! Thanks!

@@HarrDarr I am not trying to label anyone. Im just stating that the things hes describing here are symptoms of social anxiety. And I was surprised to find out that this person, who I perceive as very confident and self secure would struggle with things like that. That gave me some much needed perspective.
Im not trying to diagnose anyone with a mental disorder here. Sorry if that was not clear.

Same here; not tryna label NL, but he’s said in the distant past he has anxiety (at one point he specifically stated that there was about a 6/10 underlying anxiety at all times) and has referenced anxiety in social situations. Maybe he doesn’t want to label it or whatever. I’m just saying what he said sounded a lot like anxiety to me. I’m not a doctor; just someone who’s been suffering from it for almost two decades now and has been watching NL for at least a decade. I always found comfort in how he could be so charismatic and charming in his streams and videos but still have similar issues to myself and that gives me a bit of hope. Apologies for the ramble and didn’t mean to diagnose someone else. Just saying I related to him in many contexts.

Does it count as social anxiety if you dont feel anxious but just awkward? If yes where is the line drawn between being introverted and having social anxiety?
@@paws27 Do you overthink/analyze all the time in social situations? Do you feel the need to "perform" to a high degree in social situations? Do you feel awkward and unskilled in social situations? If so, you're probably socially anxious/phobic. Does it impact your life (e.g. do you tend to avoid social situations)? If not then you're probably not venturing too far into disorder territory and it's just the way that you are; if yes, then you should talk to someone who isn't a rando on the internet and get some actual insight specific to your situation.

This is because of Isaac muscle memory I think; I do the same thing! Sac Dag and other orbitals in Isaac hit repeatedly as long as they're inside enemies, which the bible doesn't do. It's the opposite of something Egg has done for like 11 years.

Are we missing an episode?
Looking at the vod (the 31st) he unlocked the new character and had two failed 10 minute runs he cut out of the beginning of this.
Looking at the highlights from the day, he has 3 Vampire Survivor markers. "How to Unlock the Secret Character" was the first section, 30 minutes. But this video is the second segment despite the title.
Came here for the game. Stayed because of how relatable your commentary was. 😂

NL I'm not sure if you read comments but re: if people view social interaction as staging the answer is yes but typically unconsciously. There's an excellent book that goes over this idea by sociologist Erving Goffman called The Presentation of Self in Everyday Life that you might find very interesting

As someone who lives in Minneapolis but has also been to airports such as LAX, Ohare and others across the country, MPLS is a much better airport to be stuck in than most others.

Sucks killing Death is the only way to unlock the other secret character. Currently the only way to get it is to edit the game file and give one of the weapons insane damage to kill him.
You can kill it if you are lucky and get the Pentagram to go off in those 2 seconds that you are alive after death appears...

@@Gakulon Character name is MissingNo like the one from Pokemon. It has random stats each time you go into the character select. It can range from unusable to game breaking.

Btw, the whole "talking with strangers feeling like a performance" is an on the sepctrum thing. NL does exibit quite a few of the traits (eg. problems orienting in 3D). This is comming from a fellow sperg.

@@PKMartin I think the idea is that it's supposed to switch randomly between the monsters of every level. There's just two for now but as more levels are added it's going to get more interesting.
I am very shy but I cherish talking to other dog walkers. Also don’t sit in your car idling if you can sit in a quiet place inside.
I find it incredibly hard to just start talking to people out of the blue aswell. Essentially impossible for me to just start a conversation with a stranger, but if someone spoke to me I would be fine talking.
