Trick2G getting a buff with that haircut in the intro
4:00 interaction between ravenous hydra and life steal.
- Ravenous hydra has 10% lifesteal and the cleave effect applies lifesteal at 100% effectiveness. And this takes the champions total lifesteal in calculation.
- Udyr's W gives absurd lifesteal, so his healing on-hit is reduced to 60% against minions. The damage from cleave isn't on-hit, just the cleave itself so the healing from cleave damage doesn't get reduced.
Normal melee champion with only ravenous hydra:
- A minion is hit for 10% lifesteal, healing for 10% of post-mitigation damage dealt.
- Cleaved minions are hit for 10% lifesteal at 40% damage, healing for 4% of post-mitigation damage dealt.
In this example at 4:00 Udyr with 2 points in W + ravenous hydra:
- A minion is hit for 26% lifesteal, reduced to 60% effectiveness. Healing Udyr for 15,6% of post-mitigation damage dealt.
- Cleaved minions are hit for 26% lifesteal at 40% dmg. Healing Udyr for 10,4% of post-mitigation damage dealt PER TARGET HIT.
In summary, against minions:
Normal champions heal for 40% of their main target healing per cleaved target.
Udyr heals for 66,67% of his main target healing per cleaved target, as long as the autoattack is W empowered.
Simply because his healing reduction against minions isn't carried over to ravenous cleave healing.
Edit: Subsequently, R empowered auto attacks trigger the cleave on all targets hit per auto, thus technically healing for even more cleave healing per auto, but ultimately less effective without W's addded lifesteal.
