I loved the breakdown, especially about the Publishers!! Shojo beat is no shock, but I was surprised that Seven Seas and Yen Press were pretty close. My collection has quite a Yen Press presence, but cool to see how your percentages differ! Just recently got into some Seven Seas series. I really liked the manga tour, with all the personal touches of merch and decor. It was easy to write down some series I was interested in just from the spines and brief recommendations you gave. Honestly what a nice video, great work and thanks for sharing! I’d be happy to suggest a few series I think you may love to have on your shelf on Twitter sometime if you’d like :)

As someone who loves stats this was really satisfying to watch. Your read vs unread volumes is really impressive especially with almost 700! For me, I’m on a buying ban for a month or two because I have 67% unread 😅. Tracking the magazines alone must’ve been really time consuming. But now I’m inspired to also track it because I’ve never given it much thought before.

For a buying ban, I set up a tbr stack for month and I also read through the library. I’m an extremely slow reader so it works for me. All this to say, don’t force yourself to do a no buy if you can’t because I can tell you genuinely have a passion for manga.

I only just realized kodansha is who licensed “Love, that’s an understatement” and I am DESPERATE for a physical release in that. I read them free digitally on my library but I am not willing to pay for them knowing I want the physical 😭
OH MY GOODNESS SAME!!!! 😭😭😭 It is my number one most wanted physical license at this point! I've emailed Kodansha and filled out the form saying how I've bought them digitally (got them when they were on sale and had Amazon credit) and will totally rebuy them physically if they print them! Hoping for the both of us that they will eventually license it physically!!

Wow, so many fun stats! To keep track of your manga in 2023 vs 2024, do you track date purchased/sold? I have a sheet for my manga but I don’t track it over time (or by magazine which was interesting to hear you speak to) so I was curious how you handled that part. Love that shoujo had such an overwhelming lead 😂it’s the same way with my collection. Have you thought about getting into the I’m the Villainess, So I’m Taming the Final Boss light novels? I actually bought volume 2 on sale (I believe the manga series only covers volume 1) as I’d like to get more of this series in my life as it was a fun manga for sure! I 100% had more thoughts and I should have wrote them down as I had them LOL but just wanted to say this was a great video, and it’s always fun to see which series are in your camera view each time there’s a new video.

I decided to buy that one Malaysian volume of From Far Away because I wanted to have at least volumes 1-10, but I didn't want to pay a scalper prices for it. 🙈 They are in English and since I've been curious about the quality of them, I decided to give it a try and was really impressed with the quality overall! I definitely would prefer a US printed volume, but it has a slip cover and really nice paper, making it enjoyable to read! And without paying wayyyyy too high manga prices! LOL! I hope that helps!

If you're looking for a delinquent romance, Glasses with a Chance of Delinquent is my number one recommendation!
