Drew, how is the bottom dark gelcoat holding up with the salt and sand loading on bunk trailer? My current Sportsman has a white bottom, looking at a new 247 but it has a black bottom hull and black powder coat. The boat has everything I want except the black hull bottom, that's the only thing leading me away from that boat.
How does it do in offshore considering this to head out to bimini on this boat. I love it and really enjoy it. Considering getting the joystick option just because i’m a new boater and have not mastered docking with the wheel.
@@TexasPrerunner Perfect brother i’m down here in south florida if you ever need something I could always suggest and shoot a place to stay if you’re not from down here and save you time and $ thank you brother
Depends on how the boat is loaded. Last trip we had 4 guys, 120lbs of ice, 2 drink coolers, and so on. It got 2.3 nautical miles per gallon and we cruised 26-27 knots 29-30ish mph. Light loaded it will be around 3 nautical miles per gallon around that same speeds.
Hey Drew, I just got my 247OE and super excited! I wanted to ask you about the rod holders you put in front of the splash well, as I’d like to do the same for mine. Are those 0 degree rod holders and where did you get them? Thanks for your help!
How high are the gunnels from the floor. I have a 267 but I was thinking about going to the 247. I mainly offshore fish and was concerned if it would be high enough to hit my knees.

Where does your jackplate turn signal switch wiring penetrate the dash ?

Check out my other videos. The boat handles well offshore for its size. I have a buddy that has made to run to Bimini in his 247 a couple times

Are you using a single 36V lithium battery for your Trolling Motor? If so, how many amp hours is the battery?
I’m using a Amped Lithium single 36v 60AH. It has been great
What is you real world fuel burn and cruise speed ?

Is the hill loud? Almost like it’s thin?
The hull is really quite. Sportsman foam cores all their boats and this is my third one for a reason.

They are Gemlux coastal series in zero deg. I ordered them from Unconventional Marine.
This is not considered a deep v? What is your cost for this boat n trailer? Tx
The boat is a bay boat hull so less deadrise than a dedicated offshore boat. The boat and trailer are north of $100k

Knee high on me. I’m only 5ft 6”
