What a nice ride on the Sporty Stoney....Love the scenery. Talk about Go Pro......I still have a Hero 3.....seems to work fine for me. probably need to upgrade to what , I don't know . Lots out there to choose from .
@@mikebigeasyrider my cameras have worked great with no issues until lately. It could be the heat, I don’t know. I appreciate the comments, buddy. I hope you’re getting to ride a bit, despite the heat. Take care, Mike.
Really nice ride! The video was great. I'm an old fuddy duddy and I'm still using my 10 year old Drift Ghost HD cameras. Only 1080p but they always seem to work. I have had to retire the original batteries though. Good luck with the new camera. Goats are funny but they will jump up on your bike seat and tank in a second. Don't ask me how I know. 😅
Thanks for watching Sam. I still have a Drift…somewhere. It is probably the most reliable camera I’ve ever owned. It’s just difficult to mount on the front of a helmet. Take care, buddy!
Thanks for another great ride and your GoPro was working! Haven’t used mine in a long time. Haven’t had much riding in down here in SE Florida with all the rain. But we are green all year with an abundance of 🌴 palm trees. Keep yourself safe on those great backroads! One of these days I’m gonna get back up that way at my sister-in-laws place in Sparta! Some good riding for sure up there!
We’ve had our share of rain, too, but the heat has been stifling this year. I’ve ridden through Sparta quite a few times. It’s a very nice little town and not far from the New River. It should start getting cooler up there very soon. Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate it!
Another good road & ride vlog. Thanks. Be careful on those evening rides, as you know deer and other critters are coming out about that time. Well, three more days and I start physical therapy on my right shoulder. Getting a terrible itch to jump on the bike but need to be smart & heal up a bit more. Ride safe out there!
@@johnfrench4739 better follow the doc’s orders and stay off the bike 😁. I hope therapy goes well for you. Shoulder injuries can be painful, but you’ll be fine in no time. I appreciate the comments, my friend. Heal quickly!
You do have some great roads in your neck of the woods my friend. I just got back into Bass Fishing after a long hiatus. I used my GoPro10 on a chest mount and it got hot and shut off. I tried an external battery pack, plugged into the media mod and had no problems.
You would think that GoPro would have this stuff figured out. It is very aggravating, to say the least--especially when a new one is pushing $400. I don't know if it's a camera problem, or a battery problem. Thanks for watching, buddy.
You really did put the miles on your Sporty last week. It will be nice to ride this fall after the hot summer we’ve had. Thinking about a lunch ride at some point if you feel like it. Ride safe buddy.
@@johngilbert1047 other than the 1000 miles I put on the Tiger on the WV trip, I’ve ridden my Sportster more. I’m looking forward to cooler weather, for sure. We do need a lunch ride.
@@GARamblinMan that sounds like a splendid plan. I was telling John that my September is pretty full with traveling, but maybe I can sneak off from work at some point.
Really nice roads you were on. That Hoover Hill Road is my kinda road. One day I’m going to knock on your office door and drag you out on your bike. Work be damned. So far my GoPros are working ok. I have the older Hero 7 that I sometimes mount to my handlebars but lately I’ve been using my Insta360. I have the Hero 8 with the media mod for my helmet chin mount. My only gripes are the battery life and the fact, like you said, the GoPro splits up my videos into several 5 minute or so individual files which is annoying when editing. I’m looking forward to fall weather too. Ride safe and let’s get together soon.
@@GARamblinMan Both GoPros have worked fine up until a couple weeks ago. I prefer the 7, but it’s the most problematic. I’m in Canada this week and have another trip up here in a few weeks. I have plenty of vacation, so I may take a day and meet you in Lake Lure. Might make it an overnight trip. Thanks for watching, buddy. I’ll talk to you soon.
The osmos DJI action camera is pretty good I have the action 3 which is not a bad camera and they just came out with the action 4 which is better in some ways than the action 3, if you’re looking to ditch GoPro
I hear really good things about the Osmo 4. I saw where they are about to release a 5 soon. I may pick up a 4 if they go on sale. I appreciate the comments. Take care, buddy!
