You hit the spot, love excavators, and all related! Comatsu is exelent manufacturer, but nothing beats Caterpillar/CAT, third place LIEBHER & VOLVO, and this is a good video 👍👍👍, with G&W involved...🏆😊👍🏼
Had dinner one night with Maryland Midland founder Paul Denton after he had given a talk at a historical society meeting that I attended and he told us something interesting about his purchase of the ex-Western Maryland line between Emory Grove, MD and Highfield, PA from CSX. It turns out that the left hand of CSX went ahead and retied the entire line just before selling it while the right hand of CSX was negotiating the sale of the line to Mr. Denton thus saving him many, many thousands of dollars. He was in such a good mood that we asked him if we could run an excursion on the line and he said yes without even thinking about it. I doubt you'd get that same answer from Genesee & Wyoming today!
Thanks for the great vid! I have been watching them load on the front end of that trip all summer. They have dug a huge hole for that stormwater pond where that dirt originated. Thanks for posting.
I have chased MMID's trains many times and with the slow pace speed you can get many good pictures or videos anywhere on the line especially on the west end. The east end takes a little more planning as no roads really parallel the line but still very photogenic. Fall is the best time with all the colors. Cool to see the old WM signals still in place after all these years. Sad though they don't work anymore. Nice catch.

Last time I made a comment on one of your videos was 2018 I think. Well good news I'm going to tech college planning to get my GED and my high school diploma. And after I get my GED and my high school diploma I'm planning to take computer, motor classes there . But meanwhile I'm planning to work at the local train station in my area when I turn 18. The community college just didn't work out for me, the tech college is a lot better because they let you take your time so I don't feel rushed and stressed out . In the future I'm planning to be a train engineer for the BNSF Puget sound subdivision.
That's another Genesee & Wyoming company then? That blue & orange GP38 is very colourful. Nice to see Caterpillar and Komatsu working in cooperation, though I do wonder why they didn't just unload from the train straight into the dumper to save handling it twice.
Another great morning video to enjoy. And it would be of my fav RR (don’t get me wrong, I do so love CSX as it holds so many 70’s memories) since getting back into model railroading as we moved to New Market. My HO GP38-2’s 305/301 are my go to motive power. Thanks for sharing this nice video, Cary
Epic chase of the Maryland Midland train! I'm in love with that livery. It was neat to see the excavators and dump truck working too. Fantastic video! I hope you're having a good week 😎🚂
You did very good job here! Combined train and excavation work! I love from excavators, to the big dumpers in the mines! Comatsu is great but Caterpillar/CAT is no1, LEIBHER and VOLVO are also my favorite.👍🏼👍🏼😊 I can watch it all day! 👍 Nice one again 🏆
That's a good idea - just load the shovel into a gondola and off you go :) Enjoyable and different! Out of the car and onto the ground. Then off to the construction area. So is it the fireman/conductor who gets to run the shovel? lol - that would be fun!
I may not be the smartest rock on the block but why didn't the shovel on the gondola just take the dirt from the vin to to the dump truck and eliminate the second tractor.

Thanks!

I really loved the train chase here it's always enjoyable seeing it approaching each crossing.
Thank you very much!
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR You're very welcome! ❤😁
Excellent video Dave.
Many thanks! ✔
Not sure I’ve heard a k5la horn like that before but it is pretty cool sounding with the box thing over it.
The box cover is to make it harder to steal the horn. It's a anti theft device or so I was told when I knew the folks on MMID.
This is so cool and oddly satisfying
Very good video!
Great video. Beautiful train. New freind here. See you soon and take care
Awesome catch
Thanks 🔥

@Commies Get Rittenhoused Thank you! I know the crew on trains is usually 2. So, it makes sense.
I'm watching your channel I'm interested in you filming I like ,👍
I may not be the smartest rock on the block but why didn't the shovel on the gondola just take the dirt from the vin to to the dump truck and eliminate the second tractor.
I wondered the same thing.
Great
Nice one my friend😉👍 0:52 I know how it is when you are chasing some train or hurrying to film in some station an there are slower cars on the road😃😋

Excellent! Maryland Midland is also close to where I live. Did you know about this train or did you just so happen to run into it?
i knew about it
@@BaltimoreAndOhioRR oh cool. Do you know how often MMIDs pass by? I know they're very rare
no, i dont really know their schedule
Nice
Thanks
Szép!😀👍👍👍
Amazing video sharing..Wow..😍😍 I love this video ..❤❤
Hi, new friend here..We will be good friend 🌷🌷
Are they removing that signal?
no
BaltimoreAndOhioRR that’s a relief
What time does the train usually come by?
Great catch! In just about all of your videos, I see like 5 other railfans with you. Are you part of a group or is it just a coincidence?
a little of both. i often take a couple friends with me, but i also go to crowded places so there will usually be someone else in the shot.
How do they get the tracked excavator into the wagon?
Thanks for the video from the UK
Anthony Tidey most gondola cars have drop ends and they use ramps to load the excavator on to the gondola
