Thanks for being so honest and guiding people in the right direction. I am also like you who immigrated from Sindh in 1979. I went to school, got my college degree, had decent jobs, and now retired. The United States is not much behind Canada. Job opportunities are probably better than in Canada but it's not the same as it used to be. Therefore, I also suggest those people who want to come and live here doing odd jobs is not a good idea. I see many people in mental crises or in depression. Thanks.

I went to Canada in 2014 with a PR straight. I was a Mechanical engineer with good experience in India. Canada sucks. The worst country to move to comapred to USA or Australia or any other developed country. I struggled alot and had to move to USA where I am being hunted by employers everyday with high paying jobs. I really get tired of answering the linkedin and indeed messages every other day. On the other hand, finding a living job in Canada is a kind of great achievement. Added to this trauma, Canada is terrrbly cold. Even my children hates the idea of moving back to Canada.
My dear Indian youth my sincere suggestion to you is to better stay back in India. There is no comparison between the incomes you get and the cost of living in Canada. Especially buying a house (infact an apartment ) is next to impossible in Canada now a days

Good university and PR will easy but recently even top university like university of Calgary peoples are not able to secure job. If you son is starting now than after 2 years this 5 lakhs people will be there in the market and canada not have a capacity to give job to 5 lakh people. Unemployment rate will rise to 11 to 15 % in 2 years.

Students fees increased 5 times, no jobs, no housing, it is wastage of time & money, if u r strong n experience, good communication then u may manage, but most of the students did not get jobs for 8-9 months, basic jobs as labour. instead indian colleges should be enhanced & make courses more practical oriented & prepare people for PR. Govt should take concrete actions to revamp indian education in India. COme as PR and not as a student.
