Here is what happens if you try to play the vid comics from Ratchet & Clank 3: Up Your Arsenal but with third-person mode #ratchet #Clank #PS2 #Rutchet
I never thought I'd see Qwark's vid comics in 3D.. It's incredible and kinda cursed. Great video as always, there's so much stuff in this game yet to discover
I don't think it's even possibly to make something like that work in a different engine. If it is, it would be more work than it's worth it. So they used the same engine, but programmed it to behave differently. At least that's my guess :P
I only got all the vid comic skill points after revisiting the game as an adult. I always hated games where the difficulty came from the camera being stupid by design. Wish the devs had spent their time elsewhere. But cool to see how it works, nevertheless. The letterboxing and Qwark logo being 3D blew my mind.
I got them all as a kid, rather easily too, just took a bit of practice. Nowadays, I can get them on my second runs, no problem. I don't understand why you bring up the camera, it's a 2D sidescroller, how did the camera screw you up there?
@@TheRealBlazingDiamond It feels cheap to be hit by stuff that are obviously visible earlier from the character's perspective. Also it's lame to have jumps and drops that you can't eyeball, but only get right after trial and error (like early in the Metropolis level). Same with the secrets that are out of view from the camera. You could've made a 2D sidescroller without these problems.
@@Visstnok the first complaint is one that, well, it's a video game, they tend to do that, so that one's kinda moot. The second one is also one that doesn't really apply, at least not for the Metropolis level. You never have to do a leap of faith, and the only time you have to jump onto a platform that isn't visible is when you either try to skip a chunk of the level, like he did in the video, or when you drop down onto a different platform from above, but you have Qwark Tokens to show you the way. You know there's something down there, just by looking at the trail of tokens, or else the trail wouldn't be there. You _might_ have a bit of ground here with the Rilgar level, but otherwise, it's handled well As for the secrets, well, there are hints too, or you just have to walk towards it a bit to find them
@@Visstnok perhaps you had a more healthy lifestyle where you didn't play video games every waking second and you actually went outside lol, in which case, good for you!
Forbidden knowledge
This feels wrong and forbidden, like no clipping out of your memories of your childhood.

THE ROBOT WHO BRINGS ME THE HEAD OF CAPTAIN QWARK GETS A FREE B*** JOB!!! everyone else gets disentagrated
Mfw nefartius says "lube"
MAN!
Now my old teenagehood dreams is completely 3D. Thanks!
1:08 Real flat ladder, like in minecraft lol
...but what about the CUT Vid-Comic levels?
I'll explore more in separate videos 👀
1:21 QUARK YOU MISSED A RED TOKEN YOU NEED TO GRAB IT FOR THE BOLT QUARK
One question I always had: Does it use the same engine? As in, would it theoretically be possible to let Ratchet run around there?
yes
I don't think it's even possibly to make something like that work in a different engine. If it is, it would be more work than it's worth it.

now this is a boundary break
Hmm how about playable qwark in Ratchet (or Clanks) levels?
Or vice versa?
I'm not sure that's possible without modding
This is how the Qwark Vid Comics would've been if Qwark made them himself. Terrible 3D camera in a 2D space.
2023 best platform game finally revealed
Do you know if it's possible to have the hypnomatic bots free roam on damosel and grelbin when you control them?
I think it's possible, I could test that
@@Rutchet cool :)
That makes me wonder is there a way to play the whole game with Qwark?
Perhaps if you coded him to appear in the main levels and gave him the ability to walk in 3D properly. Otherwise, fugget about it
is it possible to play as ratchet in the vid comics? or is it possible to play as Qwark in the main game planets?
It could be worth trying, just saying
ratchet is actually always in the vid comics but invisible and impossible to control. with hacks you may be able to re-enable ratchet and walk around.
amazing
