Great vid and comparison! Both look to be great rigs and very capable. I gotta say, I've watched almost all of your vids and each new one just gets better. Love the play by play and the great camera angles out on the amazing rocks! Always looking forward to the next vid!!!!
I love your videos. The way you explain your lines, to talking about your controllers. You've been very helpful in the area I least understand, which is my controller. Both of these rigs are sick! If it was me, I'd take both of them with me every time I left the house. And maybe your green & black Capra. I love that thing! Look forward to more of your content. Thanks for sharing/teaching.
Hey Wes you really got a face for radio!!! Another great video!!! Way jealous of where you crawl!!
I appreciate you watching luckily I don’t do much FaceTime in my videos then lol
I called you Wes because of those jackasses on live stream takeover of course. I know your name is Logan 😂
Dude this is gonna be a fun comparison! Looking forward to it!
Got that right.
I have both of those rigs,me myself I feel like the scx10 pro is a better rig.
And you can cut the underdrive, yes I realize you can't do that during competition.
The VRD is a very loud rig.
Awesome course, trucks, and driving man.
On camera is one thing, but in person, these obstacles in this canyon are no joke. Very capable. We used to struggle on these same lines.
I rewatched the first time I filmed getting over the breakover obstacle it took a bunch of tries and I basically got lucky and these trucks just drive over it lol
Is this public land ? If so where ..... craziest rocks I've seen looks amazing
What a beautiful place to crawl. OMG❤
Great video; deff love both kits. Maybe I’ll see you at one of the axial events one day
Is this in Southern Utah. Looks familiar. I’d love that VRD. So cool.
Another great video! I’m new to building and am working on my first. I’m using straight F10’s with a NOD2 and was wondering how you got 30% overdrive? Thanks
Underdrive rear ring and pinion. Front is powerhobby overdrive but it’s two steps up overdrive so it creates more than most. Together it’s 30%
Seems like your channel is starting to grab some traction brother it's very good to see that I got to stay man I'm always going to go with a portal rig I just love portals but it's straight axle killed it also
Awesome video. You should have swapped wheel tire combo and reran it.
So is the VRD something that comes as a RTR or do you have to build it. Still trying to learn about these crawlers. I have some smaller 1/18th and 1/24th but really want a 1/10th scale. This VRD would be awesome for me.
That’s a good look at both of these both are great performers but without a doubt just personal preference I’m getting a VRD. Unless the other one goes on sale which is not likely.
Great test!
What absolute badass driver that VRD was badass
Never ran the small spur gear i guess. When you do you would increase the torque, less top end though.
I had the steering wheel cut and I have my hand out ready to grab it on that last one where it was all flexed out
Dang so close.
Hey what did you build your metal f10 portals with? I only see the metal housings online
Killed the lines on both but I love the VRD!
I definitely like my carbon it’s very impressive driving both I think the kraken has a slight edge overall but finding the exact obstacles to prove it can be tough
Thank you!
👍
Do you know the f/r balance of the two rigs ?
Yes it's on💪🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🪨🦎👍🏻
I think I was more impressed by the VRD even though I thought higher center of gravity would hold it back. Great video and two awesome builds. Cheers!
