Caleb Vaudt Technically, it's actually the worse, the sales of the album was the lowest of the band's history and the lyrics were the most...unrefined, the band since has gotten better at writing music and has sold more albums with each release.
Aron Erlichman Sales aren't a measure of quality, and "unrefined" could be argued as a good thing, more genuine as opposed to conforming to some myth of objective quality. The simple fact that people who actually consume media for enjoyment nearly always disagree with those who are paid to 'objectively' rate it should be enough to show that there is no objective way to measure quality of music, movies, tv, or any other sort of media.
catlover10192 Sales is a measure of quality, and unrefined lyrics is not a good thing, it comes off as less talented, not something a band wants when coming up with songs and wanting to make a living.
Aron Erlichman Swan Songs album has platinum status and it's their most popular album out there. Worst one is Day of the Dead because not so many fans bought it believe it or not. Maybe not even 100.000 sold since March till now.
Aron Erlichman They really aren't. Sales aren't even really a measure of perceived quality, they're just a measure of popularity. And saying that HU wasn't nearly as popular when Swan Songs was released as they are not, it's not surprising that the sales aren't the highest. A lot of fans just didn't bother to buy their older album(s) when they discovered them.
