I got a lot of flack from one of my son's when we switched over to rotational grazing (he wanted to us to do it like pawpaw did). But one day in the middle of August he was walking next to me barefoot through the stand of grass before we let the cattle in. He looked at me and suddenly said "my feet are cold" I said "are they wet too?" He said "yes" I said "when was the last time it rained/" He said "over two weeks ago...huh...I get it now". Still a little proud about that moment.
