April 28, 2023-a day that I will never forget. It was on this day that I was finally pulled from the pit of alcoholism after over a 10 year battle. Deep down, I knew that I would never be able to see the fulfillment of all that God desires for me unless I got out. I cried out to Him in my weakness, and He granted me the strength to leave it all behind. I wrote this song to commemorate Christ on His faithfulness despite how daunting this circumstance seemed. I couldn’t imagine a life without alcohol, yet by His grace I am here living it! It is through His correction that I’ve discovered the true meaning of His love.
