Archive that tape as soon as possible, vhs is known to deteriorate
is it just me or is it on the clips of the vhs there looks to portentislly be some deteriorating already
You should, finding lost media is one of the best things the internet has done in preserving and researching pop culture history. The more people that learn, the better
“Lois, this is a bigger responsibility than LS Mark reviewing the pilot VHS!”
At least it wasn’t just a bunch of cheap walk cycles
“uh Peter I don’t think we should be talking about the network like that”
“what are they gonna do, cut our budget? ah, I’m gonna go get a beer”
🧍♂️🚪🧍♂️
@@audiovisualcringestill one of the best bits in the show and pretty accurate emoji version lol.
That’s a piece of history you have there.
You gotta get that transferred to digital as soon as you can
@@Warp2090you seem either too young or too stupid to understand , archiving is extremely important for history and what ls has is lost media that was said to be gone for good.
The tape he brought "Family Guy VHS Casstte Special Unaired Rough Cut - Tested" was listed for $10,000.00 but the Best Offer was accepted.
Thanks for finding it already I knew it’d be in the sold on eBay but that saves me time. Wonder just how much he was willing to get it for.
“I found the lost family guy pilot”
“This was not the lost family guy pilot”
A video on this wouldn't be a bad idea
Searching for lost media is a pain in the neck but yet so fun to do. Does the creator not have the original pilot or he does have it but can't release it for some reason.
I mean he's got some connections with Butch. Butch worked with Seth and also Dan Povenmire, so I feel like he could reach out to him. Maybe.
There are several Lost media that were lost, even in the hands of their original creators.
Among them, the original two-hour cut of the film "The Wicker man (1973)", according to Sir Christopher Lee and director Robin Hardy, they both have affirmed that the film has been cut badly as it was passed from distributor to distributor, one of the main culprits has been Warner Bros, who had possession of the film with the original cut but the film was severely cropped and edited for worldwide distribution. Robin Hardy made an effort to recover the film and barely succeeded with the edition "The Final Cut" and in the words of the director: "The Final Cut, is the closest we will get to the original cut."
Also happened with the original version of "Child's Play (1988)", Tom Holland and Don Mancini have claimed that the full version of the film was lost during the editing of the theatrical version.
Same case with "The House of 1000 Bodies", Rob Zombie said that the complete film was lost at some point in the distribution at film festivals, although there is evidence that the film in its complete version was seen in Argentina in the year 2000.
From what I know, Fox was in posession of the pilot and they got rid of everything aside from the episodes once the series was cancelled for good. Supposedly there were uploads of the full pilot back in the early 2000's, but those have all been removed.
Speaking of Seth, I should probably archive the original Cleveland Show series preview before that gets lost for good.
Archive the tape ASAP!
tapes cant just "die", the vcr can but tapes dont go bad for like 60 years if they are stored in a regular environment@@random_kid-gj2bw
I would love to see a full video on this. And this will make a great addition to the lost media community
YES PLEASE MAKE A WHOLE VIDEO ABOUT THE FAMILY GUY PILOTS
Love ur vids
This was something i wasnt aware of, so could be a neat video to discuss about it and generally find this kinda stuff interesting
Would Larry & Steve count as a Family Guy pilot as well? There is no doubt that Family Guy wouldn't exist without that earlier iteration.
I would love to see a video talking about it
This is how a creepypasta starts
my heart skipped a beat there
Steve and Larry is the first family guy pilot and it’s available on youtube
Im so glad they gave stewie clothes
Please make a more in-depth video on this
i really wanna see this unfinished version.
you definately should make a video going over this tape
Please make a longer videos going over it!
Dude you've found lost family guy media that's amazing!
at least we have Larry and Steve
No fair, he didn't disclose the amount of money he paid for the Family Guy VHS.
Definitely make a video on this Mark. It sounds super interesting.
This have some potencial for a video
Because unaired pitch pilot was partially found from Lost Media Wiki
Upload it to the internet archive maybe
Lois with a red shirt can't hurt you
Lois with a red shirt:
I'd be so down for a video on this, or at least a dump of the episode for everyone online to see.
I THINK I FOUND THE SUPER LOST PILOT!
I saw it on facebook a month ago it was $10,000
definitely make a video about this. This seems really cool.
Damn bro really bought it. A friend of mine originally found this listing and we joked about it for months. Hope you upload it to archive
Pls make a video about the SUPER lost pilot, I didn’t even know there was a super lost pilot but now I’m interested
The episode is basically the same as "Death Has a Shadow" (episode 1).It does however contain early edits to the characters, such as the color of the characters' clothing. There is a 7-minute snippet on UA-cam, but the entire episode lasts 30 minutes. And what many fans and collectors seek is the full original episode.
That first sentence sounds like the start to a creepypasta lol
Bro's in a literal lost episode creepypasta
id love ya to make a video about this to hopefully get it found
Please make a video on this. It would be so cool!
You need to upload the whole tape for this online somewhere.
"WHAT? THAT WAS JUST A HUNCH OF CHEAP UNFINISHED ANIMATION!"
"GRRRRRR, EBAY BETRAAAYED UUUUS!"
"This is better than the time LS MARK made a video about our pilot VHS" YES make a whole video
Yes and you should find someone to upload it to online so it's doesn't become lost
I think you should do it and also cover the Super lost one
I saw this listed a few months ago, not surprised it didn’t sell then considering it’s price. Super cool you ended up getting it though!
Digitize it and archive it ASAP since VHS tapes can very easily deteriorate over time
I'd like to see what it looks like complete, with all it's footage. A review would he nice, but I'm more interested in the actual content of it.
You gave your soul for that vhs, don't worry, I won't judge your business practices
I also saw that Family Guy Pilot VHS on eBay too and was saving up to buy it considering i thought it was going to be the 1998 Unaired Pilot in full but dammit. You got it anyways so I’m happy for you but I’m at least glad i didn’t spend thousands for something i wasn’t looking for
I swear I've seen that "super lost" pilot here on UA-cam, or at least 7 minutes of it.
Release it online
Istg this is how a creepypasta starts. Finds random old, suspicious looking vhs of famous cartoon on it. Buys it for absurd price. Now we wait for the demonic possessions.
For anyone curious it was listed on eBay for 10k but the final sale price was 5k
Why does this sound like a creepypasta
YES please make a video on it! If you want to digitise it properly for your video, the easiest cheap way withyout having to send your precious tape to anyone would be to buy a VHS+DVD recorder combi second hand for about $100. Would love to see that line drawn version of the intro - super cool the way they've separated the mouth shape layers wiith a visible outline, so we can see how many actual drawings/frames are there.
Brian for a few seconds has Homer's stubble/beard
100% do a video on it, and a full upload to a drive or something would be cool, or at least all the scenes with differences
Definitely wanna see a video going over this
DUDE I THOUGHT THOSE BLACK BLOCKS WAS A ROACH I ALMOST THREW SOMEBODY ELSE'S PHONE AT THE WALL
Dude, archive it. vhs are known to deteriorate, archiving it mean it will forever be on the internet and never be lost media.
"Super lost pilot"?
You mean the original Larry & Steve version?
That's been up on UA-cam for years
I am aware of that lost pilot but I did not know about this incomplete final version until now so awesome short
I wish Fox had just included these pilots on the original DVD release
I would literally cry finding this what a cool artifact
Yeah I found the pilot but
I'm not going to share
This is the beginning to a creepypasta
You need to solve the goblin riddle.
could you upload this somewhere?
Yes.
bro is a fry but more friendly
For most of the video I thought he was talking about some crappy creepy pasta
You know, I'm glad that it wasn't a total waste. Like a trick or something. This is still a pretty good find.
he paid 50k
I was actually looking at buying that one Ebay, but then I decided to get my pilot license instead. Im still split on this decision.
Yes, make a whole video, I want to learn more about it.
Archive it before it rots away
Release this pilot
Isnt the original pilot on youtube? Its a guy and a talking dog i think.
Yes, I would love to hear more.
solve my riddle
Archive that ASAP
Maybe a video on the lost pilot
for anyone wanting to know the actual price he paid, on july 30th, 2023 (the last time this was sold) it was sold for $10,000…
Everyone in this chain keep guessing until we get the price range. I say 1200 dollars.
Careful fox might bust down your door
The price on eBay was 10-10K dollars.
I think you should make a video on it as it needs to be documented properly
Imagine if you fast forward and the lost pilot is revealed?
PLEASE DO IT!
3 words: Larry and Steve
Heheheheheheheh hey lois were an unfinished pilot. Remember da time we were actually finished and airing on TV?
Mark spent his whole life savings on that lmao.
The starting bid was 10k but mark said that he made a deal with the seller. This better be his holy grail cause imagine spending that on a family guy vhs
@@andrewallstar2719man probably spent of 5k loo
@@andrewallstar2719 The accepted offer on eBay was $5,000
