Most of the time nowadays, Family Guy just strolls through the story with some commentary on day to day life with average jokes, but sometimes, the writers do come up with interesting concepts. This particular episode was very refreshing and had a surprisingly good story with jokes that landed most of the time. They should do more special episodes like this..
I love Family Guy.....if Seth did a spin off series just based on this premise, I'd watch it like an addict. I think its the most clever thing he's done....and he's done a lot of clever things.
"That's a very defensive response for something I didn't bring up."
That's so applicable today it's ridiculous, lol.
“It was a ruse, a sham, a snow job. Pure hokum all the way. Nothing but pork pie.”
“I also spent most of my time looking up synonyms.”
I'd love a snow job

Thanks
Carol spoke a lot.
He was getting a peacoat with anchor buttons to wear at the docks. I'd talk a lot too.
Carroll is usually the male spelling. Those double letters make it oh so masculine.
He's no Johnny Tightlips.
Fun Fact: Communion wine was completely legal during prohibition
So was passover wine.
My church always used grape juice.

I respect everyone’s sudden love of synonyms
Carol has a way with words.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Carol ( also spelled Karol or Karwoł ) is actually a male name in many countries such as Romania, Poland, Czechia and Hungary
In the Netherlands it's spelled Karel
We even had royalty named Carol in Romania!
In the US it's usually spelled Carroll if it's a man. Ref the late Mr. O'Connor.
I believe it's etymology leads to "king"as the root, isn't it?
@@TheJTMcDaniel And don't forget Carroll Spinney.
“I also spend most of time looking up synonyms” relatable
*this was Carroll O'Connor's favorite clip*
RIP Archie Bunker
The film Noir episode here reminds me of the Steve Martin movie Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid
Synonyms are fun.
Amusing, enjoyable, pleasant, convivial, merry, gay, 活発、lively, boisterous
They are indeed

Feel like I should just sit down and read the thesaurus.
Tell ya that librarys gotta be packed
such a great episode
As someone who's grandfather is named Caroll, what Chris said is factually correct. In fact, it has Irish origins.
"Camille is a man's name and I am a man!"
I knew someone would bring this up.
Camille Saint-Saens was one of the greatest composers ever.
_Cecil B. DeMille approves from beyond the grave!_
Baptists ( in this case, a Catholic) and bootleggers.
Maby his mom really was hoping for a girl.. And was like screw it!. I'm still naming him carol 😆
Lucifer season 6 be like:
Dad & Son
For me, this is hands down one of the best FG episodes ... Mac book pro 😂😂😂
I wonder if carol and carl are related in someway. Like, did one “evolve” to another?
Karol/Carroll seem to be variant spellings of Carl. Apparently, so is Charles.
Carl and Charles both come from Carol
The male spelling of the name is actually Carroll.
My grandpa's name was Carroll
Is there anyone who doesn't spend their time on synonyms?
"Carol is a very acceptable man’s name" that is true, both my father and grandfather are named Carrol
I was always intrigued why Karol Wojtyla was named Karol Wojtyla. I have half of the mystery solved now, onto the other half now.
I like this episode
I relly like this other world stories Family Guy does, show when the writters actually try.
Well. The dialogues aren't what the used to be in this show. More is more is apparently the game nowadays.
Chris is Lois's sister then?
My name is Karole is that weird?
00:15
What about the name Marion
So is Karen for entitled men
Carol is a woman's name
Karel is a man's name
First.
Carol O'Connor fails to see the humor of this bit.
