I also have major depression, most of my friends are drug addicts or dead, I lost my longtime girlfriend this year and I don't have a real family...but good times will come again! And I know, how fckg hard it can be, but believe in it and it will happen! 🙏👍

Someone to talk to and confide in does help. Don't be scared to put your hand up and ask for help. It doesn't mean you're weak if you ask for help. It's the first step to recovery 👍🏻🙏

Yes the 'true Stan's' new it was an old song as soon as Em's lines were dropped... It takes me right back to when that album dropped. I was going through a divorce and rehab. Just still blows my mind. Without that album I don't know how I would have made it.

I was sitting in the dark, during the day, by phone light, muted. Saw Em looking back at me, I imagined he was looking out, seeing me in shadow, face half lit, mind dark, hope... hope? I don't know.

Man this hits hard. I take similar drugs to em. Opioids for sure, albeit I’m likely more physically dependent on them than em, and not just chemically… but financially, professionally and emotionally as well. Without my drugs, the withdrawals would likely end me (not looking to find out). Cutting back is a fun idea, but I got a job to work. I have to sleep at night. I have people to talk to. And I need drugs to do that. Not like I can just take 3 weeks off from the pressures of life as a struggling single man in his late 20s, and just detox and soul-search. Those rehabs with the palm trees and touching recovery stories are for the rich people, so I have to do this on my own, and every time I decide it’s time to get clean, another obligation comes up that I can’t afford to miss.
So for now, this is where I find peace. I find peace in the words of artists. In music. In those brief escapes from my reality, where I can just pretend, if only for a moment, that it will all be OK.
