    Thanks for the tips. I just got a shag haircut and I wasnt sure what the hell to do with it. Also great song for the background

      Texturizer spray is a godsend. Makes it so cute. I have thick/wavy hair so at least for me the sea salt or sugar “beach waves” etc. texturizer sprays are really fun to play with.

    All the other styling videos I've seen look so high maintenance they were putting me off getting a shag. You've got me back into the idea again. Thanks.😊

      Lol it’s the least high maintenance, the messier the better. A glossy cream, tousling and scrunching, and massaging the scalp, it’s just super easy to have fun styling with your hands

    Thank you for a realistic morning routine for a shag cut. Im a very busy mom and I dont have time to spend doing my hair for like 30 minutes. After like 10 years I have an actual hair style again and went with a cute shag with bangs as my hair is pretty wavy when its this length and figured it was an easy and quick enough style that also looks good and im not about using tools on my hair daily, no time. Just occasionally.
    Your style came out great and looks adorable to you.

    This is so helpful!!! Just got a shag about the same length as yours and don’t have a ton of natural wave as well. Thank you!

      @@umhi9233 I have thin, straight hair and I just got a shag. It won't look as good as others with curly or thick hair but it will look as if your going for a flat and choppy look. I curl the ends inwards to make my hair look fuller and it looks better that way. If you have straight but thick hair it would look great 👍

      @@umhi9233 Yeah np and I personally love my hair as a shag over straight long hair. It makes me look put together without having to do anything to my hair. (No brushing or styling) At the end of the day, were all going to be gone, so why not try something new? Also if you end up not liking it for any reason, you can add clips, headbands, and other accessories to change up the look. Well whatever you decide to do, i hope you like it!

    For my shag (I have really thick hair, quite wavy almost to curly in the back) I love playing with the “beach waves” texturizer sprays. Hairitage has a great one, smells expensive but is under ten dollars at Walmart.

      I just got a shag and I have super thick, wavy hair too. I’m gonna have to check out the Hairitage to see how it is bc so many of the other texturizing sprays I’ve tried have been not great lol.

    My hair is a little finer and straighter than yours but it’s the same color and literally the exact same hair cut! I am having such a hard time styling it right! My stylist just blow dried mine and threw the curls in with her flat iron. I have tried every way. The only way that I care for it when I style it myself is when I use a round brush to flip all the layers out, then dry shampoo and as my hair gets kinda sweaty through the day the texture is perfect.

      It doesn't hurt to take a shower so your hair is wet, just don't shampoo and conditioner or just use a water spray

    • @gooblegal817
      @gooblegal817 3 роки тому +5

      if you have time, just spray with a water bottle until it's wet, then style how you'd like. if you need to style it quickly, spread a little hydrating hair oil between your hands, and massage it into your hair from ends to roots. then use a wide tooth comb to fluff your hair, and it should look pretty good. of course depends on thickness, style, what wash day you're on, etc.

      there are other ways to do it too!! you could use a curler, i’m sure there are many videos of hairstylists using curlers in their hair routine when it’s half dry, then leave it for a few hours and just kinda ruffle it until you get the style you want.
