- Our MSC Seashore cruise from Port Canaveral wasn't all doom and gloom. We're still MSC Cruise fans, and you can't beat their prices. But this cruise wasn't as great as our prior MSC experiences on MSC Seaside and MSC Meraviglia. The opulence was weak. See what happened.

There is a more in-depth discussion of issues upon this cruise here: www.freshandfe...
Add your thoughts to the comments section! Is it better now? We hope Captain Stefano can pull things together.
We are completely prepared to get tossed off our next MSC cruise like Ben and Jerry because we said things that were completely honest but not 100% positive. If we can’t be honest, there’s no sense doing this anymore. We might have to go incognito 😷
I've heard some cruise lines are starting to make it known that they are against people vlogging on regular cruises. They have paid vloggers to UA-cam their experience and that's all that'll be allowed. I think that's ridiculous.
@@karnitahill8351 definitely violates freedom of speech. But since these ships are not flagged under an American flag, none of those rights apply unfortunately.
I'm 2 for 2 on MSC. Yacht Club on Seascape and Aurea on Seaside. Going on Magnifica in June. Interior room. We shall see...
Older ship not bell's and whistles...
@@davidarnold7676 Wow - that's quite the change from YC to an inside room! Let us know how it goes.
you need a pacifier to suck on because all you do is complain baby cry
It's the amount of guest and crew. We where jam packed. Cruise was rocking 24/7 and I couldn't sleep. I got allergies from the buffet.
Oh no! Hope you're OK. They are packing those ships as full as they can get them.
Next time, bring up earplugs.😂😂😂
We have cruised on RC, Disney, Carnival and for the first time MSC, last year. Every cruise line has issues. We don' drink or gamble, and are not much into the party scene. We do really like Carnival, but are a little sticker shocked on their prices the last year or so. We booked a 2 week back to back on MSC Seashore, and after watching a lot of videos a bit nervous that we had made a huge mistake booking MSC. We LOVED our cruise. The food was just as good as any other cruise line ( and living in Louisiana, we don't like bland food). The service was excellent, and embarkation and debarkation both went very smoothly. As far as getting on and off the ship, I believe it has a lot to do with the port. If there is something going on at the port, then you will have back-ups on the ship. People need to be patient and follow instructions. I've witnessed people trying to shove their way to get off that is not their scheduled time. When you have several doing this, you then can have huge issues.
honestly, on our sailing, there were no instructions and no one seemed to care. it was like a bunch of teenagers were running our cruise with no adults watching. i'm sure it got better after msc watched this video.
@@admtim i’ll have to make sure to share our experience on our upcoming MSC cruise.
Must be for people who think Olive Garden is fine dining.🤦♂️
IMPORTANT NOTICE for those sailing on MSC Seashore:
If you're DRIVING to the port, when you pull into the port area, follow the signs for MSC Seashore. When you approach the parking area, STAY TO THE LEFT and do NOT pull into the parking lot first. It may be labeled 'drop off' or it might not be. It wasn't when we pulled in, and we know better, and we STILL made this mistake! Normally, there's a luggage drop-off after you pay for parking but before you pull into the actual garage, but they're doing construction on the adjacent parking lot, so that was gone in November. You can drop your bags off with the porters near passenger drop off, and then drive back up the road and make a left into the parking garage.
And get ready to pay upfront We waited a while because I think people thought you would pull a ticket like Miami and pay when you leave. Nope, have a credit card ready.
@@jamesvirga9496 true! NO CASH and no human either. They charge 5 days on 4 day itineraries

Thank you for sharing this review.
Your commentary was hilarious. Gave me quite the chuckle throughout 😂
Going on the Seashore Feb. 17-25, 2024 which I’m looking forward to.
Went on the Meraviglia May 2023 and had a great experience. The worst part of the cruise was embarkation & disembarkation which were a hot mess. Unfortunately, It appears that poor embarkation and disembarkation is a MSC staple. Despite it all, I’ll still be cruising with MSC.
We may be on that same cruise! Will probably sail Yacht Club again to avoid the embarkation mess. Thanks for watching, and enjoy your cruise!
I may be on the same cruise as you both. Mine is on the Seashore leaving Port Canaveral on Feb 18, 2024, going to Costa Maya and Cozumel. I unfortunately can’t afford the Yacht Club. So now I’m worried we won’t have a good time 😢. Wish me luck!
@@Cashmire12 I won’t be sailing in Yacht club either. So, I’ll be on the general boarding line also. It’s still possible to have a nice time without being in the Yacht club, Any trip is what you make it. Don’t let any of the hiccups ruin your vacation. 😉
Maybe we all will cross paths at some point during the voyage! Happy New Year to you both!
PLEASE come back and report how it was!!
Last minute cruise and we sail on 2/11 and I’m terrified after seeing reviews! I will make the best of it but definitely over paid thinking it was a nice ship😢
I do cruise reviews also mate. That looks almost exactly like our MSC Seaside experience at Port Canaveral for the April 27th 2023 sailing. The ship was almost 200 crew short due to delays on Visa approvals (lets clarify that isn't MSC's fault but the US Govt) as the ship had just come over from Europe. We had an easy embarkation with almost no wait so that was better. We had the Fantastica experience. Our experience was compounded by 400 Expedia cruise travel agents onboard who got priority for everything, so service was even slower! We learned from the MSC Seaside experience NOT to book Seashore for the month of November when it first arrived but wait till December as crew staffing and training would be improved substantially. Ocean Cay has some very soft sand beaches we visited, so you look like you went to the one that wasn't. We have done 10 Carnival cruises in the last 5 years, and those cruises were all outstanding on almost every level. RCCL was a little less outstanding but good none the less. MSC will no doubt be great eventually in my opinion. They are definitely on a learning curve! When I did my video review of MSC Seaside I realized there were far more positives than negatives on that MSC Seaside cruise.
You are correct that timing is critical. By the time we reviewed Seaside, they were fully staffed with synergies. Regardless of fault, the MSC Seashore hotel captain should have anticipated Visa troubles well in advance and enlisted either experienced Seaside staff or a local contractor to supply labor in the meantime. They knew this could happen and chose to fail.
@@admtim You make a good point. The ship Hotel Captain should have seen what happened on Seaside and made the adjustment.
Everything is weird for you. Your voice is monotone.
As a loyal MSC cruiser, I was pretty disgusted with my recent experience on MSC Meraviglia. It took us HOURS to leave the ship at multiple ports, and the crew were a nightmare re complaints.
I was hoping it was a one-off, but I’m sad to hear that it sounds potentially fleet-wide… 😢
WOW! Our first MSC was on Meraviglia and it was amazing. So sorry to hear you had to deal with that. Hoping it gets better.
Have sailed 3X on MSC, last being YC on Seaside. Awesome experiences. Booked Seashore YC for 4dy V-Day cruise also in Nov and a 7 day Feb 2025. All YC. Hope they pull it together.
I think once corporate receives feedback on the last sailing they’ll send some people in to fix things up. And yacht club is always exponentially better. Enjoy!
This guy is a cruise snob. You had a great time because it is a great time. I’ll be on Divina for the 2nd time next week. Enjoy your trips!!!
He is a very pessimistic person. Disregard his Debbie Downer attitude. I'm sure he has a very small circle of fans. No fun to be around.
Just got off the seashore, the smartship stuff doesn't come without it's problems, but it's still new tech. The shows were great, and the silent disco was amazing. The employees were friendly and the rooms were pretty nice (we had an inside room for 4 people with the bunk beds). It was busy, but that's just because we went on spring break. The food was delicious, venchi's is great if you can go there.
We're going on a 4-night in September. As always, we'll make the best of a chance to just get away for a few days.
Rather than waste time with the official MSC post-cruise survey that will probably be ignored or lost (like our yacht club newspaper and pillow selection), we wrote an extensive MSC Seashore review in our official Cruise Blog detailing the many MSC Seashore failures here: www.freshandfelicia.com/msc-seashore-cruise-ship-at-port-canaveral-review/
Wow! Thank you for taking the time to post this candid review.
We would want to know the truth so we can be ready for anything! Thanks for your comment.
I’ve been on close to 25 cruises various cruises I’m going on MSC seashore January 7. This will be my first one with MSC. I have heard tons and tons of negative reviews may be about 25% positive most of the time when I hear bad reviews about a cruise, it’s over exaggerated when I personally go on that ship. We’ll see I’m a little scared about MSC but for the price I got it’s hard to beat. As far as your review, it was probably the most entertaining I’ve ever seen. It was extremely negative but that’s your experience. I don’t think you’re lying. You did give some positive about a few different things, but it made me laugh and it made me cringe a little bit noise that I’m going on that cruise in about three weeks, so good job I hope you’re not totally right
You will probably love it! This was our 5th MSC cruise, and the past 4 were amazing, especially considering the price. This was Seashore's first sailing out of a new port for the ship with 70% new crew, many who weren't onboard yet. Basically, everything that could have gone wrong did go wrong. I'm sure they will have fixed many of the problems by January. Let us know how it went! We're sailing again on Seashore in February to do a follow-up. Thanks for your kind words!
Never go on a first sailing! Any experienced cruiser should know this. There are those that love inaugural cruises. Unless you can cruise regularly and each one doesn’t have to be the best because you have another scheduled next month, don’t do it! Let the cruise line work out the kinks!
@@lynndee3884 see, it's not that simple. This is far from an inaugural sailing. Seashore has been in service for years. MSC made the rookie mistake of changing staff when they changed ports. They should have known better.
@donaldslone6113 how was your cruise! Give me all the details I’m booked for August 28 but I had to go with it cus I gotta a cabin room for $600 😂
I was on Celebrity Cruise and that was 5 Stars! I’m alittle skeptical with this ship but regardless I’m getting my money’s worth by having fun!😂
Oh, PLEASE come back and tell us how it was.
Enjoying your reviews. Looking at MSC for 2025 and still uncertain what to do (also looking at Princess, but the price point of MSC can’t be ignored). So many of the reviews for MSC are cruises departing the US, and I’m specifically looking for reviews of their European cruises. I have a feeling that some of the issues with US departing cruises might not exist for the European cruises.
Very possibly true! Heading to Europe this summer and may investigate.
Princess > MSC no questions asked. You watched this and still consider MSC? Just go to your nearest mall and spend a day there, that will save you ¥£€.
@@admtimdon’t you regret it?
Very interesting, thank you for the honest review.
Thanks for watching! We hope things get better soon.
Dumpster fire. The ability to have a good time is surely limited by strictly enforced curfew 8 pm. Meanwhile, every geriatric fills every set and every inch of the pool starting at 6 am. To say this ship was overcrowded is an understatement. The dining area was so jam-packed that you had to yell to the people at your table to be heard. This ship had no class, and I've been on carnival cruises 😂 Now I get to the food (No!!) That's all I need to say about that😂 The service was (no) 😂 Never again. I've never been so happy for my vacation to end.
There are some deep rooted issues that need to be fixed. Truth about the ship shutting down at night, and the geriatric pool situ! Had to LOL at your Carnival comment!
What?! Curfew!?
For anyone saying that he is exaggerating, we were on the 7 day as well which followed this one. This is my personal review from many many sailings:
-check in was over 5 hours (we arrived at 11, and didn’t get on board until 4:00
-lunch buffet closed at 4:00 so we were SOL as our early dinner (which we selected late and was assigned 5:30pm dinner and could not change to what we actually selected) was not gonna happen until 6:30pm
-cruise director failed to announce when we were docked at the MSC island
-on the MSC island, they brought food off of the ship, and due to the delay in bringing the food off, lunch was delayed, we ended up going back to the ship after realizing it’s the same food on board
-wait time for drinks was a minimum of 15 minutes anywhere, not sure maximum as when we waited 40 minutes we would just walk back to our rooms to get beer from our mini fridge, even if the only 2 beers on the boat seemed to be Heineken and Corona (both being hard to come by on some bars)
-room attendant didn’t come 2 times a day even though they said they weee supposed to, so we ended up with soiled towels from our jacuzzi that we had to use to shower in the mornings with
-elevators did not work majority of the time
-by the 3rd day the ship was out of high end bourbon and the only IPA on board (we were gonna upgrade our drink package for the bourbon but thank god we didn’t). The only bar that had the bourbon was the Brooklyn Bar. Since we didn’t upgrade our drink package, we told the bar tenders at that bar multiple times we were ok with the $5 charge of the difference in the alcohol, but we still ended up with Jack Daniel’s whiskey multiple times
This is just a small glimpse of what we went through, I could keep going on and on (such as we ordered wine and champagne in our room but got 2 bottles of champagne, our excursion was cancelled by MSC on the MSC island without an explanation and we have still not received our refund, food not labeled it contains pork but then when we went around the buffet it’s labeled as containing pork somewhere else) but if you got this far you get my point. Our Facebook group was nothing but comments such as this with ways this ship lacked compared to carnival, Norwegian and RC. First time on MSC, and last time on MSC (My Shittiest Cruise)
We had similar issues at the bar and on the island, even in Yacht Club. Agree, we thought even Carnival is looking a LOT better right now, and that's saying a lot.
What time was your checkin time. Unfortunately people don’t arrive at their assigned times but just show up trying to get on early and it creates a huge mess and causes a big delay for everybody.
Just disembarking today July 18, 2024...what a wonderful experience compared to our first MSC cruise last year.
Table service food quality proved from a 5 to an 8 out of ten.
Buffet 9/10
Pizza 10/10....by far the best!
Ocean Cay 10/10, better than Castaway Key (been here 10 times)
Plenty of pools and activities.
Theater shows: 9/10 Broadway quality....
I am an MSC convert and will become a frequent cruiser with this brand.
You get good value for your money!!!
SOOOO happy to hear they're getting their act together! We're trying again soon.
@@whiskywillie but “Broadway quality” shows on ANY cruise ship is kind of a stretch. We’ve been to Broadway. Cruise shows are fun, and some are good, but they’re way, way, WAYYYYY off-Broadway 😎
We were on the Seascape just 2 weeks ago. We gave MSC a 2nd chance but nothing has changed. Royal Caribbean here we come.
@@floridacruisers7705 oh no 😟
We have sailed MSC twice, the first experience was good and the second not so good. We are looking at the Seashore for next year, haven’t tried this class of ship yet. Planning on Aurea experience with an aft suite. Hopefully it’s a grand time and the inconveniences are kept to a minimum. We really enjoyed Ocean Cay. The service on MSC isn’t bad but definitely not up to the Royal or Virgin standards. Also the park n ride across from Canaveral is our go to. Happy sailing 🛳️
Enjoy!
Is this a cheap sail,is that why people sail with them?
@ it is very affordable as the attempt to build market share.
I’ve cruised them a few times. Never do the 4 night cruises with MSC. They are a mess. The 7 nights have better programs and passengers. I don’t know why they treat 4 nights as a booze cruise… but the staff does call 4 night cruise’s booze cruises. If you want a good 4 night, do a different cruise line.
You may be right. All 3 or 4 night cruises on EVERY cruise line seems to be a booze cruise!
They are called booze cruises because often times the drink package costs more than the actual cruise fare. It’s not just MSC that suffers from the 3/4 day booze cruise rep, virtually all mass market short cruises will suffer from the same issue of having less desirable menus / on board entertainment / and clientele.
Appreciate your honesty. And sarcasm and humor are always welcome. Every other review is so boring!
FINALLY someone gets it! Every other cruise channel is sooooo boring
I was disappointed when we first walked in, it was just so squished, everyone was bunched together, it was very underwhelming, the ship layout is so horrible and the people don’t understand what we are saying.
For a new ship, they definitely did not take advantage of some of the new layout improvements that Royal has. They really should be a main Promenade with all the specialty restaurants. Regarding language, there were definitely some issues, especially at the bar and at restaurants. They will learn as they go along. I think it was a very new staff.
"Come for the non-existent service, stay for the guy singing Cher!" -MSC
Great video though, glad I found a cruise channel with some decent humor 🙃
LMAO exactly what we thought!!! Thanks for watching.
Appreciate your honesty. I saw your Yacht Club video. That is definitely the way. Price is right too.
Best deal in cruising right now!
0:52 Is that staff actually laughing at her?
OMG 😮

@@admtim Sure looks like they saw her, did not offer to help in any way, and laughed it off in my opinion
FINALLY someone who is HONEST! Thank you for having the guts to tell the truth. People are so scared to admit their vacation wasn't perfect. Every single cruise has its problems, but it seems these were easily preventable.
IKR? People be so ashamed to admit things went sideways. MSC Seaside was nearly PERFECT. We know Seashore can do better.
We did a back to back last year on the first sailing of Meraviglia. I think it was 4 day then 7 day. The first cruise was a full on Carnival deal. We were in line for 4 hours to get on the ship. The second cruise was much better and a subsequent back to back a few months later was pretty good overall. Overall the ships are nice and you really can't beat the price including drinks. Buffet was very poorly organized. Food was blah though I always found something I could eat. To be fair, I've also been on Princess, NCL and RCCL since the pandemic and the food has suffered on all of them. Prices are way up and they have to save somewhere. We most love just hanging out, reading and looking at the ocean. I also really do like Ocean Cay and the overnights on the longer cruises. Again, the food on island could be better.
The overnight at Ocean Cay is FABULOUS! The overnight at Port Canaveral was underwhelming, but we always have fun. At least the tequila was on point.
When I sailed that ship my husband and I walked straight onto the ship. Took us a total of 15 mins. so that ship has improved greatly. I was so relieved to see this because the reviews were horrible!!
We had the same experience when we sailed again a few months later. We did love the ship.@@shirleycompitello3167
@@shirleycompitello3167 we did YC on late stage Meraviglia after the pandemic. Crowds were still small so it was wonderful!
Was on a seven night cruise that started November 26,2023 and my experience couldn’t have been any different. Arrived at my assigned time and took me 15 minutes to get on the ship. At the end of the cruise once they called our number was off the ship and in my car within 30 minutes. We were not yacht club. Buffet lines were not bad and plenty of space to sit outdoors. Service was great. Had a wonderful week. Btw the guy in the band that you said was on the mic but not singing is the band leader calling out chord changes and instructions to the other band members. If you notice they all have ear buds/inner ear monitors.
We are hearing they are getting it together and staffing up so that's great! Regarding band bro, as a seasoned entertainer, if someone is calling out chord changes, they probably should be in a school gym and not playing for money. There's this thing called "sheet music" too. MSC entertainment is unforgivably pathetic - EXCEPT for the shows they had on Seaside. Top notch stuff there! The thing is MSC probably knows this, and they know that the masses really don't mind.
Great review and a little humor like it. Thanks
@@rotfan77 thanks!
Just did the 4 day Bahamas. Thank goodness only 4 days !!! We would not have survive a longer cruise. First the Pro-good price. good embark and disembark. Went very smoothly. Good comedic show...would not suggest for kids. Great drinks! Now the cons- rooms not very clean at least on 14th balcony room where we stayed. Our Steward was not enthuse about his job. Room service is worst then waiting at DMV or on hold for cable!! FOOD ON CRUISE WAS HORRIBLE!!!! VERY BLAND. Chocolate was very expensive. Stores did not have great selection. Cruise director presence was not felt. Staff seem miserable. No excitement!!! Elevator was a disaster waiting to happen. Overcrowded.
Ship was very understaffed. MSC misses a good opportunity to sell drinks because not enough waitstaff.
I can definitely say this cruise was the worst cruise I have ever been on 12-7-23 !!!!!
Wow. Seems they are still not ready! Such a complete opposite to the well-oiled machine we saw on Seaside twice. If I were Mr. MSC, I'd bring Seaside's entire crew to Seashore immediately.
This is honestly the best cruise review channel anywhere on UA-cam. Solid information and humor too! You should have a show on the Travel Channel!
Thanks guys! Although it might not seem that way, this channel is a LOT of work.
This was to be our fourth cruise on an MSC cruise. Seashore was a 2 out of 10. I wanted to get off the ship just as it was getting away from the dock. First, we waited 1 1/2 hours in hot sun to board the ship (some passengers were there for 3 hours). Here was 5000+ sitting in the sun. Second, when finally on board at 4:05 PM, no lunch was served because it was closed. Third, our 5:00 pm dinner did not begin until 6:30. Fourth, dinner service was sssllllooowww. Fifth, dinner servers were not accommodating and non communicative. Sixth, not much to do except for drinking at the bar. I will NOT be back on MSC. They have lost their quality.
Completely agree with your review. First, boarding at Port Canaveral is stupid. There is absolutely nothing to do there, very little shade or cover from rain, and no convenient way to get to a restaurant or anywhere else to pass the time, so everyone defaults to the line. Unbelievable that lunch is closed at 4:00! The hours at the specialty restaurants are ridiculously narrow. And service both at the bars and restaurants still feels short staffed. With regards to something to do, there are several activities in the daily cruise planner document, and they offer their theater shows three times daily, so that's nice. I haven't wrote off MSC just yet, but I'm going to give Seashore a few months to get their act together.
We just sailed Seashore out of port canaveral last week. My suggestion is if you haven’t sailed with MSC, do it…. There is no such thing as a bad cruise. Especially at these prices. We paid for an interior room and automatically got upgraded at no extra cost to a balcony. The food was good, the dining room food was great. The buffet…. Hey, it’s a buffet. Pretty standard buffet. Bar services was great, never waited for a drink longer than 5 minutes. If you complain about that, then you are drinking too much, sign yourself into AA. We also had the drink package which made life easier. Plenty of bars to choose from. So, if there is that intolerable 5 min wait at one bar… go around the corner to another. Pizza and pasta was awesome. The staff was the best, very happy and personable. I do have one complaint, and it was the whirlpools were lukewarm. But thats it. The captain did an awesome job of driving around a huge storm. We met alot of people that loved the ship, and if coarse some that did not, but those people seemed unable to satisfy anyway. So, I could go on and on, but I would give my cruise on MSC Seashore a solid 9, because lets face it, nothing is perfect. So, ignore the negative comments, ignore the positive comments… book the cruise and see for yourself.
apparently they have made some improvements since November 16, as we expected they would. So glad to hear some good news. We're sailing again in February and will report back here.
You recommend this cruise for a little family of 3? My son has 4 years old! They are entertaining for them? Thanks
I went with my wife, but from what a read , one of the pros of the ship was the kid area
I'm calling B.S. on these glowing endorsements. Waiting 5 minutes for a drink. ABSOLUTELY no. Not once. And while waiting for the bartender to even look past you and ignore you for another 25 minutes, fellow passengers are ALL talking about these same stories of crappy service, food, and experiences. So you say it was so fantastic? I say, you're earning your PR bonus... because your comments are totally lacking in honesty.
Sorry buddy, but the only thing I have to complain about is really, the elevators and disembarkment. I do not think our cruise was completely filled. maybe a “Princess” cruise is better suited for some people.
I have never seen a cruise review like this one. I saw in one of the other comments saying you were a "cruise snob," but I think you gave a really honest, unbiased review. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! We started this channel trying to be completely different than everyone else. All the other reviewers kissed the cruise lines butts but we refused to do that - we tell the truth, whether it's good or bad. Thanks much for watching!
Thank you, been on MSC and they are the WORST! You made me smile and realize I am not the only one who sees this cruise line, this way!
The sad thing is we've cruised with them in the past and it was amazing. They totally lost their way on this ship. Back to Royal Caribbean I guess. Thanks for watching!

I’ll be on the Seashore in February 2024 too!!!
Good Luck... NEVER again for me!
I noticed you went to the buffet on a rare occassion when it wasn't crowded and towers of dirty dishes didn't fill at least 40-50% of the tables. Not did you mention that instead of queues for the food, there are passengers just darting in and out in front of anyone in their way. The...worst (face it, it's all tied for the worst) was the snot-nosed, unsupervised kids touching the items and platters of food with their bare and dirty hands (not to be outdone by the food service crew rearranging buffet foods with their barehands too).

@@adriancleveland4838 we just returned from a second cruise on Seashore and things were much better
Worst thing I experienced on MSc when doing a Mediterranean cruise was the following issues.
The docking times for all 5 stops was mid day, and departure was between 5 and 6pm, which only allowed a 5 hour excursion excursion. All docking was done at the furthest dock on the pier, with a 20 to 30 minute walk to exit the port. The catch here was if you didn't take one of the onboard excursion trips you were screwed for time. Cheapest trip I discovered was $150 pp.
Nothing on board is complimentary. You have to buy your water at ridiculous prices. Royal Carribean was the exact opposite. Honestly I'll never do MCS again
YIKES! We're doing Mediterranean on NCL. Hope things are better.
First you guys or first for MSC Seashore?
Also November 2023 right?
5th MSC, 4th YC, 1st Seashore. We have seen better. But they dropped the ball on this one.
Do you think this ship is fun for families with kids? I have a 3 and 8 year old. From the video, it doesn’t look like there’s much to do besides that pirate area. I was expecting better outdoor pools.
The piratey area is pretty extensive and will keep the youngins busy for a while. There is also the arcade for nights and rainy days. There's also kids areas/clubs separated by ages. We were not allowed to film there, but we heard it's a good time. Royal Caribbean, Disney, and Carnival are still the best for kids overall.
You recommend this cruise for a family of 3? 2 adults and one kid of 4 years old? I’m from Montreal and i found a good deal for April 2024. Thank you for your help!
Absolutely and with zero hesitation. You simply cannot beat MSC's prices right now, even with the minor issues. Your fam will LOVE it!

We’ve sailed MSC several times and they have been positive adventures.

@@rebeccahall5939 SHHHH! That’s a secret 🤫
I’ve heard a lot of people comment about the embarkation being terrible taking five hours four hours in the hot sun. It’s not gonna be hot in January but I have a 130 arrival time. I’m not worried about eating lunch. What do you suggest that I wait until the last minute say 3 o’clock orit shouldn’t be that bad what’s your suggestion again I don’t care about lunch. I just wanted to be trouble free and get on the boat.
the later the better. no lines, no wait, walk on and relax!
Just did the 25 day cruise on her from Rome to Port Canaveral and belive you me it was worse than this, food was terrible, service was non existent, no in cabin TV fo the whole 25 days, went 9 days without our cabin linen being changed, they ran out of tea 6 days from the end so couldn't get a cup of tea, NOBODY onboard during this time had anything positive to say about it and a turn off for 1st time cruisers for sure. Having been cruising for 26 years, this is the worst one we have ever had to suffer through. We will never ever cruise MSC again, not that they care anyhow.
WOW! So sorry to hear you had to endure that for 25 days. Ours was only 4. That's ridiculous! Someone needs to be reassigned.
Well the esthetics don’t look bad…. Glass half full ☺️
We had a great experience. Weird.
I’d never sail on any ship for 25 days straight. That’s insane.
MSC is monkey chunks
AMAZED to see so many people who were actually pleased with this cruise! Some folks have an incredibly low bar. If you enjoy waiting four hours standing around just to get OFF a ship, then, wow.
Here’s the crying woman video in its entirety ua-cam.com/users/shortsBa8ZFJFhJw4?si=3jt39TIWa0Kd1RPJ
Just great, we are on it Dec. 7th. hopefully our room, the Grand Suite Aurea will be a good experience.
Sounds like they're still having troubles, but I'm sure they're working on it. Hopefully it will be all ironed out by then.
You’re funny 😂 when you said “that’s the customer service desk, but that statement is a oxymoron” 🤣
Entirely true 😞
Already booked for February for the first MSC cruise and we're worried. Too many counts of bad experiences. We planned on just quietly enjoying the balcony, mostly, and Ocean Cay overnight. We don't do too many bells and whistles, but some of the basics just seem to be lacking considerably. We can only hope that they get things together over then next few months.
I think by February crowds will be a little thinner, staff will be fuller, and just like Port Canaveral's MSC predecessor, Seaside, they'll be a little more in tune with American needs and wants. You should be golden.
I booked my first MSC cruise for January. I was excited but now I'm getting nervous. It's only for 3 days and i just really plan on staying on my balcony with whirlpool so hopefully it's decent.
@@JaneDoe-ob3tq we booked a starboard balcony room so that we can enjoy the lighthouse show from our room. We don't expect much from the cruise but a comfortable trip and descent food. We hope not to be disappointed. Best of luck to you on your January booking.
@@gow_g_rod same to you! 👍
@@JaneDoe-ob3tq we are hoping that they will be fully staffed, and they have their synergy together by then. Regardless, if you go with the right attitude, you will have a blast.
Will we get notified of the themed nights prior to sailing date , because how else will we be prepared?
Nope. But typically there is a formal night, a white night, and a tropical night. From what we saw the white night was the only thing people pay attention to. Very few people, dressed formally, and even less tropically.
@@admtim thanks
I am going on this ship soon and I am on MSC Forum on Facebook. I have read some bad reviews but I have read a lot of good ones as well. I have been on 24 cruises and one thing I have learned if you ask 100 people how good something was you will always get a few that will say it is terrible! I've been on cruises where getting on and getting off was a nightmare. It's the luck of the draw. I don't believe this ship is as bad as it was made out to be but I will find out soon!! Happy Cruising!
Let us know how it goes!
Just off seashore 2-11/2-15. Sadly had dumb and dumber for our butlers. Only received 1/4 nightly surprise gifts even though we’re Diamond. Cruise was awesome, YC food and drinks stellar as always but butler service was lacking. Also MSC needs a dedicated voyage site so you can track and see your points accrued. 4 days post cruise and wife received an obnoxious amount of points dropped in. Me….nada. 😢
Wow. Happy to hear YC food and drinks were great! We had a dud butler on Meraviglia, but at that time we didn't know any better. We just hit Diamond also but don't have great expectations for loyalty. Next time will be better!
@@admtim Ever think about Explora Journeys? First ship sailed in July. 5 more by 2025. Interesting concept. Yacht Club on crack?
Subbed. Funny as hell
@@ChickenRooster007 thanks much!
O man, we have a schedule cruise coming up in Christmas week on this ship, hopefully some of the major issues are resolved by then. Thanks for your video.
We have seen the best of MSC on Seaside, so we know they can do it. I am confident things will be resolved by your Christmas cruise. Enjoy smooth sailing!
We just got off the 7 day Seashore sail right after this sail, man it was terrible! Cancel. Run. Everything said is true. It was horrible.
How was it?
It was great we have no issue with our cruise. We just finished last Friday.
We had the opposite experience. 14 day western and eastern Caribbean. No issues.
@@prairiemeadowsevents were you in yacht club or general population?
We had a very similar experience on the Seaside last June. Mediocre food, bad service, lousy entertainment. Couldn't wait to fill out the survey, but we never got one.
We actually enjoyed the entertainment on Seaside! We were in YC so the service was better than average.
Just went on this ship to Nassau, other then the buffet closing super early at night (and having no other late night snack stands like Royal Caribbean) stuck it was fine
This is completely true. If you don't eat when they tell you to eat, you're going to bed without dinner! Otherwise MSC is a great value.
This was the cruise from Port Canaveral to Ocean Cay then Nassau that was SUPPOSE to sail last Thursday night, right? My wife and I were on this ship which just happened to be my very first cruise. I found myself nodding my head in agreement with just about everything you said. While our party had no problems boarding on the first day, we learned shortly after that our first night of beautiful scenery would continue to be the wharf at Canaveral. OK, the weather sucked so we completely understood and this delay afforded me the opportunity to get used to the crowd which I'm very uncomfortable with. I too found the food very bland, always lacking in the proper amount of salt and other seasonings. As we continued on to Costa Maya and Cozumel, we had the opportunity to eat in two of their specialty restaurants, the Butcher Block and the Japanese place. Loved my steak at the Butcher Block but my Shogun dinner at the Japanese disaster was a waste of money. I guess if you go there to be entertained by the corny jokes of the cooks, then this is the place for you. If you want good Japanese food, don't bother. All in all, this cruise for me was a disaster, making me very hesitant to do something like this again. Lastly, between the "buffet beasts" and the jackasses who ran into my wife as we were disembarking, there is no way I'm getting on a ship with so many people again.
See? We're not crazy! Sadly, the pre-Covid cruise crowds are back on every *affordable* major cruise line. The good news is we're hearing from friends that the foofier, non-family cruise lines like Virgin, Holland, Princess, Celebrity seem to feel a little less crowded.
Very concerned about our upcoming 2 day on the Seashore from Jan 5-7, 2024. This was intended solely as a bridge between our sailing on Holland America Rotterdam from 12/29-1/5, and our sailing on Holland America Nieuw Statendam from 1/7-1/14. I'm pretty sure we can debark Rotterdam by 9am and drive from Ft Lauderdale to Port Canaveral before our 6pm departure, but if we run into delays getting off the Seashore, I'm concerned we won't make our 3pm sailing in Ft Lauderdale. *fingers crossed*
are you in yacht club?
I’ve cruised with Royal Caribbean as well as Carnival and I have to say the staff on Carnival I feel like are just nicer and enjoy their job more. I’ve never had a problem with them. Every time I’ve been on a Carnival Cruise I’ve seen the staff and crew treat passengers with the upmost respect. If we couldn’t make a certain part of call due to weather or something, our port fees were refunded and we got on board credits too. I really don’t get why people shit on Carnival.
@@skokesRRMC there is absolutely nothing wrong with Carnival.
Youre hilarious. Subscribed
See? Someone gets it! THANK YOU!
Saw an add on tv during the football game last night for msc but sounds like they need to get better first
Yeah, they’re building business like a boss. But when you build too quickly, it can be disastrous.
Yo llevo 7 cruceros con esta linea y no la cambio, hasta ahora hemos tenido muy buenas experiencias con ella.
En Europa con :
Splendida, Preciosa, Fantasia y Musica
Great news! Royal prices are still too high
Adults with open bar access pee in hot tubs and pools a LOT more than kids do. At least kids don’t have STDs.
Ewwwwww very valid and scary point!
Surprised cruise ships don't have an 80s-90s arcade, complete with period top 40 music, for us "old folks".
that's exactly what we said! We spend a lot of quarters, especially after drinking a few and on stormy days. Hopefully they will see this and add some.
LOVE this idea,
Hysterical review!!!!
It’s all 💯 true!
@@admtim No bout about it!
doubt
Agreed. Seashore was a dumpster fire.
Seriously no bueno. Never seen anything like this. CARNIVAL runs a tighter ship!
Tried out MSC Meraviglia for 7 days last spring with some reservation ... luckily it was great, had good luck with food at all free places to eat (tried dinner x2 and lunch 2x at MDR) and at all specialty dining (had the unlimited specialty dining just to try them all, but with limited menu); overwhelmingly the crew was very good and didn't have that fake smiling niceness that some other companies squeeze out of team members, cabin steward was OK, but that is luck of the draw I guess. Kind of sad that ship is now in NY, based on videos of Seashore, it appears to have a "cramped and sectionalized" feel to it unlike Meraviglia and typical promenade at the center.
We'll see I guess, will be going on Seashore in a about a month. Hopefully your next one will be better as well!
Also, on the blandness of food ... could have been just that, not enough spices/seasoning or cooks just being inexperienced but I also keep seeing that many people are becoming non-sensetive to salt because it has been progressively overused over time. I would suggest to greatly reduce salt intake for a few days/weeks and then go to typical restaurant (longhorn [steaks], olive garden [chicken] etc.) and see how over-salted a lot of dishes really are.
Also, I'm glad this ship only gives a small tribute to NYC and not really modeled after it... otherwise it would smell like piss, garbage and be full of bums. 😂
We also enjoyed Meraviglia! You are absolutely right - it's a much better design. Hope to see you on our Seashore re-do.
Well I’ll be on a 4 day cruise in MSC seashore in Sept haven’t been on a cruise in 10 yrs ..last one was a 7 days on Carnival Breeze and it was great ..I hope my experience on the Seashore will be good 🤞

Just to give another point of view, but other than the weird muster drill, I’ve always enjoyed myself on the seashore and I’ve been sailing with MCS for over 10 cruises now including the Seashore(x 3) and currently booked again this coming November.
I don’t know how this works but sometimes you have the worst luck (you meaning everyone…)but for others they had the best.
Go figure. Until things get out of hand, I’ll always sail MSC. Not the best, but not the worse either.

I did yatch club for 7 days in November, It was awesome.
This is the only way to sail MSC.
Booked this exact same cruise with my fiance, I have been to 4 cruises my whole life, this will be her first, do you think it’s going to ruin our experience considering how I’m already experienced with cruise? Or that this cruise won’t meet her expectations?

Yeah, white night and formal night were a joke
Three MSC tips you need to know:
1. $1/$2 or even $5 tips won't help get faster bar service, so save your $$
2. The slot machines are horrendously tight, play blackjack
3. Worst, most fatty, undercooked bacon on earth
All true
3 European tips you need to know:
1. We don’t have a “tipping culture”. We have a “wait your turn culture”. If you’re stupid enough to part with your cash, then that’s your prerogative. Just don’t expect it to get you any more than a “thanks” or a glimpse of a smile. After-all why is your money worth more than another passengers time?
2. We don’t gamble much as it’s a waste of money so wouldn’t spend enough to notice.
3. American bacon is overcooked for us, so really depends on your viewpoint.

We just got off the Thanksgiving horrible cruise. Embarking was a disaster couldn't load until 2 because people on your cruise wouldn't get off the ship or pay there bills or even one jumped in the water. Food was awful. To get a drink u had to wait forever and men got chosen over and over before a female to order before the female that was waiting before them. It was my 1st and my last with MSC. Disembarking wasn't bad that was organized and we were all off the ship and all cleared by 11:30am how I know because I left a bag and had to wait for the whole ship to empty to get it brought out.
