  • These fused glass gnomes are a fun little addition to your flowerpots. They stand at 5” tall “above ground” and have a 3” spike that goes into the dirt. They feature fun floral details and each gnome is unique.
    All the glass I use is Bullseye 90 COE.

    Thank you for the firing schedule. I watched this on my TV and I never saw the firing schedule pop up and I watched closely and rewatched to look for it. I have learned something new about UA-cam on my TV. I have really enjoyed all of your videos and hope to see more from you.

    Such a great tutorial so many key techniques that really are helpful to see carried out in a single project. I've just started and this was so presented so well, you are a great teacher. One question I have not worked with fiber paper yet, is it reusable unlike thin fire?

    • @ghislainesabbagh-hughes
      @ghislainesabbagh-hughes  2 роки тому

      I don’t know enough about microwave kilns to give you an answer. How easily can you control the temperature? This doesn’t go to a full fuse only a tack. Furthermore, because of the varying thickness, you need a really controlled annealing.

      Thank you! I'm still trying to figure out the rule of 6 :-) @@ghislainesabbagh-hughes

    • @ghislainesabbagh-hughes
      @ghislainesabbagh-hughes  8 місяців тому

      @@workofartgreeley7065 The rule 6 applies when you are doing a full fuse. In this case we are mostly tack or contour fusing except for the nose and feet. If you full fuse something that is less than 6mm it will contract upon itself to achieve the 6mm. That's what causes "dog boning" where the centers pull in.
