Im a witchcraft practicing, queer, nonbinary, AuDHD DID system. I was raised in a religious household where I experienced severe trauma, and was exposed to more abuse from the church and its members throughout my life. I honestly had to prepare myself to watch this, because I was afraid of what you might have to say about DID and those of us who have it. Thank you for doing the work to distinguish yourself from the kind of church counselors who cause more damage and harm.
I'm Catholic and was raised in a very Pagan home. I have DID from SRA. Im in deliverance ministry right now and no therapy has helped as much as this ministry. The power of prayer for treatment is vital. I am fortunate to be Catholic. I am also Autistic.
@curiouslyme524 I'm sorry. I will pray for you. Being brought back to this post makes me see how far I have come. I've been blessed also now for almost a year with a therapist who has had 18 years of experience working with C-PTSD/ DID/ OSDD, and she also represents The Church for clergy abuse being Catholic herself. I live in such a sparsely populated area , so I am fortunate to find her. I hope and pray you have the people around you who can provide compassionate support. Most people can not hold space for SRA. They themselves dissociate from the reality if you try to share your pain, or they have a goulish interest, both of which are not intended to harm, the mind of many people just can not go there. Having your child parts finally seen and heard is vital for healing. My hope is that you have this deeper and compassionate support. God bless you.
My old friend witnessed a violent crime to a family member and heavily suppressed it. Sometimes she mentioned it to me. A lot of her memories were very vague
One thing with me when I disassociate, is I'll be doing something like watching TV or something and then I will find myself in middle of Walmart doing some shopping. I would have no memory of how I got there or what I would stop in for. This one time I even ended up in another state. Had no memory of how I got there or why I was even there. It is really frightening and unnerving to know that I disassociate like that.I live in a small town and not many therapist here know anything about disassociation or they just have a baseline knowledge of it. I have a DX of osdd1-a. Would you know of any resources that I can give my therapist to help her understand more in depth about dissociation?
You need to find a specialist. An uneducated therapist will actually make things much worse with this disorder. At the very least join some support groups if you can't find a specialist online. You don't need to go in person to someone in your city
That is called fugue. It must be really hard to deal with. I have done that before right after my teen sa abuse. All of a sudden, I opened my eyes and was in a totally other place.
Im Christian from Finland and I currently have unidentified dissociative disorder and Ive made contact atleast 3 different alters. My mental health nurse just wants to keep listing emotional locks I have with schemas. ;
I have DID. I have been in therapy 30 years and diagnosed with DID for seven. My therapist pushed “old school” remembering and really destabilized me. How do I find someone who really knows how to treat DID…I live in Virginia
We as a system recommend reaching out to Collin Ross as well. He has a newer book and free PDF on the Trauma Model therapy. He really gets it and is pretty direct and easy to understand. But most of all he is who he says he is and he cares about helping us. Much system love to you all💕🧠
I had different histories w each part. I did not hear voices, but once. That can easily be demonic, but not always. Demonic' oppression usually attached to a part/ alter because of the open door from trauma, so deliverance is needed often as well as integration. Jesus is the healer, and He still heals.
You Christians are so judgemental and ego driven. It would be nice if you worked on yourself instead of judging. I hear voices and see or perceive my alters. Are they demons?
Thanks for this. As someone who is a system, we cheered when Dr. Keyes said that all the parts are the person.
Thanks for following the podcast. We are happy to share some information here.

Thank you for this interview. It helps in understanding these people with deep traumas and how it affects them, also, in destigmatizing them.
We are happy to share some information on mental topics. Thanks for watching us.

At least you mentioned Colin Ross. One of the most rational discussions of DID I have ever heard. Thanks.
Please make an episode about ADHD 🙏 loved watching this one.

Thanks for your video.
What if you don’t have any memories but suspect sa as precocious behavior in young childhood ?? And you feel the “rage” inside ????

I don’t have an answer to your question, but I pray that you will find a qualified therapist to help you on your journey.
@@faithwalker5196 thank you ❤️
