Love this Zadie! Thanks for doing this video as it has given me the nudge to get on and make myself one, may even use the same fabric in the blue/grey colour way 😊❤️
Thanks so much for your lovely comment. It was q nice straightforward sew, and is so comfortable to wear! I am definitely going to make another one asap! Thank you so much for watching. ❤
Hi Amelia, your jump suit is gorgeous. I love the material too, I've got that from SHJ box too. I love how it looks on you. Can't wait to see the linen version too. I wonder what's in the box this month.🤔 Keep safe and keep well. Thanks😊
Thanks so much Bridget. I was so pleased it worked so well in the viscose - it is such a comfortable fabric to wear in this style of jumpsuit too. I am so excited to see what arrives in this month's SHJ box! Can't wait! ❤
Hi Amelia, beautiful jumpsuit! I love this pattern, although not made it myself yet (it's on the long list)...great tip for the staystitching on top of the interfacing tape 😀👍 xx
Hi Karen, thanks so much for your lovely comment! I was nervous about making it as I wasn't sure it would suit me, but I love the fit and it was fun to make. I want to have a go at the New Look one you made with Angela now - love the shape of that one! ❤
Your jumpsuit looks fantastic. The fit is perfect , it really suits you. I've made a few of the Zadie and love the pattern but am always a little self conscious around the crossover so usually pop on a cami to protect against any wardrobe malfunctions, but never thought to sew on a popper🤦🏼♀️will definitely look at that tho . Look forward to seeing your next version xx
Thanks so much Tracey! I thought about a camisole too, but I am hoping the popper solves the problem. I am really happy with the jumpsuit as I was so unsure when I started the pattern! Excited to sew it in the linen now. 😊
Fab Zadie, looks great! Viscose is a tricky fabric to work with, I have just cut out a tatb Indigo dress using scissors ✂️ 🤞 I do have a rotary cutter but I need another mat! Have you thought about making culottes? ideal for your cycling and many have a flat front waistband with an elasticated back, making fitting easier!
Thanks so much, it is such a fun jumpsuit to wear. I took my time with it, and found the walking foot and microtex needle definitely helped. I really love the idea of culottes - just need to decide what pattern to try! I love the Indigo dress, such a lovely pattern for summer! ❤
Awesome Zadie - looks lovely on you - I’m awaiting some fabric and will be making my first one soon 🤞🏼. We are similar measurements 36 30 40 and I was planning on making size 8 but yours does appear to fit really well on top so perhaps I should go for 10 🤔
Thanks so much Paula! I think it really depends on the fabric as I know @lostmythread (who is also a similar size) made a size 8 in cotton lawn which fitted her really well. I am not sure now whether to make the 10 again, or size down to an 8 in the linen! This viscose one fits beautifully though in the 10 and has a lovely drape. Hope yours turns out well too! ❤
Hi I love the zadie jumpsuit, your fabric is lovely! I have just purchased the pattern and am rather a beginner but want to give it a go! I have ordered some fabric and have traced the pattern onto my tracing paper, but when I look at instructions one of the first steps is to stitch front to rear at the shoulder seam but mine don’t match?, I have checked but one shoulder seam the pattern is straight and the other has a slight curve? If I try match then the armholes wont match so not sure what I’m doing wrong, maybe it will become apparent when I start? Any advice welcome! Thank you Helen x
I think, from memory, you need to line it up so that the seam matches where the seam allowance will be, so that when you open the fabric up, the armhole will be a smooth curve. It was a while since I made it though, so I can't remember for sure! ❤
Hi Laura, thanks for watching! I folded the fabric selvedge to selvedge and then cut out that way. Although some pieces were cut with the fabric flat - like when I had to piece the pocket together from two different bits of fabric! 😂
Great idea for the tape and stay stitching for the neckline. I really want to give this pattern a try. Thank you 😀
You are so welcome! I really need to make another one soon!
Thank you for your tips!! Your Zadie is adorbs!
Thank you! 😊
Very cute! Fabric and color look great.
Thank you Karol!
Super cute jumpsuit! (And I love your wallpaper too!)
Thanks so much Julie! The jumpsuit has been such fun to wear. And it was a really enjoyable make. Thanks so much for watching! ❤
Hi Amelia, love the fabric you used, the colour really suits you. 💐
Thanks so much Suzanne. I really love the fabric, it is really comfortable to wear too. I wear my Zadie all the time! Thank you for watching. ❤
Your jumpsuit looks great, Amelia! 💜
Thanks so much Andra, I have been so enjoying wearing it!

Thanks so much Alisa, you were so right about the viscose! It is so comfy to wear too. ❤

The Zadie looks so nice, did you cut your jumpsuit with the fabric folded or flat and great tip on the bias binding xx

Did you wash your viscose first? Shrink a lot?
Hi Karol! I did prewash my fabric and didn't notice it shrinking much at all which is good! Thanks for watching today. ❤
