Freetress TWA Crochet Style • Curlkalon Alternative

- In this video I️ used the Freetress Teeny And Freetress Weezy Curl to achieve this TWA Style. I️ also added some of the Jamaican Bounce to add some volume up top. (But I️ would not use the Jamaican Bounce if I️ would do this style again. Stick to the Weezy & Teeny Curl) I️ purchased the hair from my local beauty supply store. The Teeny Curl was $6.99/box. The Weezy Curl was $7.99/box. Each box contains 40 pieces.

Your hair came out nice. It might be great to show the back and show the actual cutting. I actually purchased this same hair because I did not want to experiment with the more expensive hair. I am so glad to see your video using the same hair I bought. Can’t wait to get my hair done.

Loyal Smith Thank you so much! And I also love Freetress hair. I priced that curlkalon hair and said NO WAY! Lol The teeny curl has a natural hair texture to it but the wheezy curl is definitely a lot softer. I think you’ll like it.

It didn't turn out like I wanted it to but it looked ok, she said not to worry about it she was going out of town and nobody would know her LOL!!! I'll give it another shot, practice makes perfect : )
This style was the bomb on you. My challenge would be the braid pattern if I do it myself
Look up some brainless crochet installs. There’s ways to do it without actually braiding your hair. Hope this helps you.

Your style came out REALLY nice!!!👍👍👍 Could you kindly tell me how much of each curl pattern you used? I tried to follow but could not quite do so with the bigger curl with the varying amounts betwwen colors. If I calculated right, you used roughly 1.5 boxes of the teeny curl and about 1.5 boxes TOTAL of the weezy curl. I am considering doing this style and want to roughly calculate the amount of hair and thus the cost of doing this style. Thx!

In the Teeny curl i used a full box of 40 and half of one row of the second box (10pieces) but if i did it again, i would use less teeny curl and space out the pieces a lot more and probably only need 1 box. I used half of a box of the Weezy Curl OT30 (20 pieces). In the Weezy Curl in the color 2, i used a full box of 40 and half of the second box (20 pieces). I hope this helps!

Hello. This looks really nice. I want to try this but I don't want it to look like an afro once I'm done. This style looks more like a flexi rod set which is the look I'm aiming for. Did you use any products to accomplish this look? If so, please tell. 😊
Felicia Evans-Moss Lol No I didn’t use any products for this style outside of a little edge control on one side. I would suggest you braid your hair a little different for this style. If you notice, I start my first braid really high above my ears and I do the same in the back. It helps eliminate that afro or helmet look. Also, I would suggest you separate each piece of hair right after you install it to help with spacing. I started to separate them halfway into the install and realized how big it looked and had to take out quite a few pieces.

I have done that hair style. Very quick and easy if you don’t want to waste 8 hours of your life doing some silly hairstyles at the salon.
