I totally agree with this guy the only similarity between Duterte and Trump is the populist brand of politics. Other than that they are really opposites. Trump has capitalist leanings, Duterte has socialist leanings. Trump is just an actor. Duterte is real.

Actually, this interview is really good. I could listen to them for more long hours. Ms. Karen interrupts but it doesn't seem to be rude. It only makes the conversation between them more interesting and exciting. They are very engaged to the conversation - it is not boring to listen to.

Western media blew Duterte's clumsy attempt at humour out of proportion, like Filipinos voted the guy because he can dish out sickening rape jokes or cuss at the Pope. People who don't look deep compare Duterte from Trump. I have always compared him to Bernie Sanders (except the death penalty), because I look deep in his heart. This is now the current consciousness of the US and Philippines. Signs of the now time.
Democracy need to evolve and be tough at the same time otherwise if there is no such rule as what our president is doing the Philippines will be a more dangerous place to live for everyone. We need a tougher law and a tough law enforcer to keep us all safe and keep our community under the control of drug lord or bad element in our society.
