Beautiful set!! I feel the same way you do doing nails, seeing the finished product! I have been a hairdresser for 45 years, and always wanted nice nails but not acrylic, until I watched Liz Morris from The Nail Hub she is fantastic!! Also, Light Elegance products are fabulous. I have learned a so much from them and you Katie especially how to build nails with an apex, what gel to use, and now my business is more nails than hair and I can sit down!! Lol! Beauty school should teach more about nails but they give the basic so watch the videos and learn what you can about the products! Thank you Katie for a great video!

Zulay is a really good gel polish very creamy.
what bits do you use with your non dominant hand? cause this one is right handed only, right?
Love this!! I’m using a cheap gel polish set from Amazon. And the base never does this but the gel colors all get little air bubbles after they cure. Why would this happen? Bad gel? It only happens on a few nails!
Hmm are you shaking them a lot? That could cause bubbles but otherwise I’m not sure what would cause it unless it’s just a problem with the gel formula.
@@NailsByKatieDutra that’s what I am thinking! I’m not shaking them. And I do thin layers! They look fine and then when they cure they get little air bubbles. So strange! Thank you!

Does the magpie polishes self level? Also any tips for gel polishes having streaks in them?
They do! What do you mean by streaks? Like they aren’t pigmented enough? You may need more coats or the brand might just not have enough pigment.
@@NailsByKatieDutra it doesn’t self level, there’s bald patches if you will. Trying to even out and fill the patches never works

Is luminary hard gel?
No, it’s a soft gel/semi hard. It soaks off with acetone.
What product do you recommend for clients with long natural nails who want a overlay? (Anyone who has a recommendation please comment!!) I live in a state with no builder gel classes and I can’t afford to travel at the moment so I take any classes I can afford online. I’ve been licensed for 5 years and use light elegance fiber gel on long natural nail overlays but it doesn’t always work well for some clients.
