Nah, he was just sick of the community. They're either really shitty, or just super creepy and basically worship them. The story Burnie told on the podcast about people showing at their office and pretending they work there is a good example of the weird side community.

He’s very happy with his current job and it’ll be fine if he returns or not.
So if Cakewalk was made to commemorate Ray leaving, and it was first debuted in Minecraft 135, which was 16 weeks ago (+plus the weeks they've had Expanded World prerecorded.). Which means they've known Ray has wanted to leave for roughly 16 weeks. And they only release the journal last friday. God damnit.
I'm glad Ray's happy, even if it's because he's leaving, hearing the old him again, making jokes and laughing makes these videos so much better, and hey like he said, "I could just come back". He'll still be around for some projects and he'll probably appear in a let's play or two from time to time, even Minecraft maybe! And if Ray only being in a video every now and then brings him back to his old self then I am 100% okay with that.
