Knanayas, there is nothing wrong in protecting your traditions but stop hating all non-Knanayas by hearing the words of few head scattered people among & please don't ignore the following truths: 1.Some Knanayas are using Western Syriac Qurbana of Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch & are being called Knanaya Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church / Knanaya Yakkobaya though they have Eastern Syriac as their indigenous liturgical language. 2. Both Malankara Orthodox Church of the East also known as Indian Orthodox Church of the East & Knanaya Syrian Church were using the liturgy of Church of East in Persia until the burning of those liturgical texts by Catholic Latin Missionaries from Portugal & in 1665 (17th century) Patriarch of Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch came to Malankara & forced both Malankara Orthodox Church of the East people & Knanaya Syrian Church people to use Western Syriac in the absence of Eastern Syriac Liturgical texts that were burnt by Catholic Missionaries. 3. Some Knanayas became Catholic just because they accepted Qurbana of Syro Malabar Catholic Church & an Archeparchy was made for them in Kottayam. 4. In the absence of the burned Eastern Syriac Liturgical texts Syro Malabar Catholic Church used Latin from the year of their moving out from Malankara Orthodox Church of the East in India (Indian Orthodox Church of the East) with Parambil Chandy Kathanar (who later became Alexis de Combo - the first Bishop of Syro Malabar Catholic Church) & establishment of Self Governing, Independant (Sui Uriis) Catholic Church in 1663 till the year 1873. In 1874, by the decline of Catholic Latin invasion Mar Elia Melus of Church of the East came to Malankara & with his help Syro Malabar Catholics translated Catholic Latin Liturgy to Eastern Syriac & that's used by Knanaya Catholics under Archeparchy of Kottayam (started for Knanayas by Syro Malabar Catholic Church) & not the original Eastern Syriac Liturgy used in Church of the East in Persia.
i have a lot of evidence about genetic diseases in this community (physical and mental) . My humble advice to all knanaya members please save your next generations . According to the genetics , there should be a broad gene pool to having a healthy generation, people should marry from dissimilarity.
