Kind of obvious in the wealthiest city or bubble that BGC is, that economic factors play a role in choosing what age range a filipina would be open to dating. No different anywhere else.

@@JJthelonelybullinasia No. Times have changed. I lived in the Philippines 2016 - 2022. You won't see any old guys with young filipinas anywhere. Nope, not even in the province. There are zero gold diggers. However there are guys with separated filipinas, or filipinas with children, and midgets (less than 5 feet tall). That's it. I don't think any foreigner would need
to get on a plane to meet women with children. There are thousands of those in their home country.

@@senseofstile I would love to believe you are correct about there being zero gold diggers as you can certainly find that in your home country..
But, you seem to completely discount the warmth and sincerity of the Filipina that has been instilled in them simply by being raised in the culture of the Philippines.
You are right about finding women with children in the Philippines as well as in one's home country. However, the Filipina will by default be less confrontational, more appreciative, more accepting of your shortcomings, and more nurturing to you as your needs grow with age.
So, as there may be thousands of these such women in one's home country, they are neither as prevalent nor as easily found as they are in the Philippines.

Why would the girls in BGC date an old foreigner on a $2-3,000 retirement check if they can date a successful young digital nomad who doesn't mind to splash the cash? Many girls are actively looking for Korean and Japanese men while Americans and other Westerners are at the bottom of the food chain. The dating market in all of the Philippines has changed drastically in just the past 3 years. Many foreigners are visiting the country now. On top of that, you have many guys from all around the world sending tons of money to girls they've never met. The girls have many options to pick their targets.

Logically why would a young good looking Filipina want a man thats her grandfathers age?

    • @mrwonderful612
      @mrwonderful612 7 місяців тому +5

@thelemonpepperdon Logically, you would ask a Filipina that same question. I did. Her response was perfect.
In nearly every barangay in every province is at least one big, beautiful house. It's concrete, two-story, freshly painted and well landscaped. Everyone around knows whose house that is: It's the woman whose daughter has a foreigner husband or boyfriend. The mother is revered. That house has given the girl's mother more cache than she ever could have achieved on her own.
Throughout her childhood some young girl has walked past that house time and time again; each time thinking she would like to provide such a house for her mother as well.
So many of us Westerners go through high school planning on being famous and wealthy so we could provide bigger and better things for our parents.
Listen to the professional basketball players, American football players, footballers, rugby, tennis, baseball players, lottery winners, etc. The very first thing they say they will do with their new money is buy their mother a house.
So, although her method may not be the same, the "young good looking Filipina" you are asking about is no different. 🏡

Many of the foreigners in their 20s or 30s who I see living in BGC are from the Middle Eastern countries or from South Korea. I believe most of the Westerners in their 20s or 30s are not living in BGC but are instead traveling vacationers or have come to meet a girl (or boy) they have met online. Those meeting their internet girl tend to be dip💩s and misfits who struggle in their home country with relationships. Those are also the age groups of the backpackers seen in BGC. They also do not stay in BGC but have found a lower cost hotel and ventured into BGC for the day.
Since I brought up boys meeting boys, I'll add that I've noticed foreign men coming to meet Filipino men tend to be more affluent, more fit, better dressed, and their partners seem a better match for them; whereas many times the Filipina is higher on the "Attractive Scale" than the Westerner she's walking with.
Disclaimer: I only have two eyes and only one of them has perfect vision so I don't always see everything and some of what I do see is not always clear. Therefore, my views could be wrong.

You are pretty much spot on, except most Asians who live in BGC are not only Koreans, but also Chinese and Japanese. They have families who's kids are going to international schools or colleges here. I've seen an influx of digital nomads, and also military guys who come down here from Subic during their leave. Yes most westerners are only here on vacation and live like a two week millionaire hitting clubs and getting free lancers. The older expats with a low monthly retirement income can't afford it here. They're the ones who live cheaper in the provinces. Just like high end western cities, BGC prices are high to keep the so called riff raff out. Thanks for watching.

The odds of something catastrophic and life changing happening over the next 50 years is very high. Especially with the crap China is pulling. Thats the problem with Filipinos. Remember, JJ, BGC has been known by other names in the past: Fort Bonafacio, Bonafacio Global City, Global City, or sometimes just Global; as in St Luke's Global, or TGIFridays Global.
