Not gonna lie, I feel really bad for the devs from pressure, like they did "The Raveyard" just for the haunt, and then after it started, the devs did it for nothing.

Ok so now go buy the avatar you made to play it anywhere.’’ I feel so bad for the devs that made a REAL event, the message the pressure devs put broke me fr, halloween should be the periode of the year devs go crazy and roblox just see this as a money maker
The issue isn’t that it’s a dress up event. It’s that Roblox told developers it was at the last second. Games like Presssure, Piggy, etc, put so much effort into this event. Roblox pretty much used these games as like a side quest. Which is fine just don’t plan on the games being a side quest without telling the developers. So many games put actual effort to be just a “side quest”.
I wouldn’t use Piggy as an example of a game that put effort into the event, the map has tons of quality but Decay was being made before The Haunt and wasn’t made for it like the Time chapter

I agree with Minitoon that’s it’s cool Roblox tried to do something new, but did they really *try* while creating something new? There’s no way the concept makers of this event took more than 5 minutes to think of the event. Think about it, with Halloween comes the relation of costumes, and a really popular game right now that has costume like mechanics in it is dress to impress. So it really wouldn’t be surprising if all the concept makers for the event did was use the idea of dress to impress with how people follow a specific theme and others vote on who did it the best and just make the event around it. The only thing new they added themselves was taking the pictures in various games. At the very least, events like the classic or the hunt had some semblance of gameplay, but with the haunt, its gameplay is almost nonexistent. I also want to add that I think the Roblox devs who worked on the lobby did a fantastic job btw, but I would rather have a well thought out and formulated event and a horrible looking lobby than the reverse. There’s so much to criticize Roblox for when it comes to his event, but saying at least “they tried to do something unique” isn’t even close to enough when they didn’t actually *try* to create something to the best of their ability.
I would rather have our classic when games get updated for puzzles like bro the devs made some new game modes and roblox out of the box remove that it’s a costume contest
They could've just done the event entirely within the remade haunted mansion. It looks SO COOL and yet you only use it to observe screenshots and visit a few games. The fetch quests would've been so amazing in this environment.
yeah, the hub is amazing and, at least from what's accessible now, is pretty fun to explore! I was actually really excited about it up until the reality of what the event was dawned on me.

Guys I love the haunt event. Everyone still set up their events before they found out it was for costumes. All the intended events still did release. The rave hard was still added. Dusty trip got a new map. Doors got a very fun modifier, dress to impress got 3 chapter quest thing. You can still play all of these and the lobby is still very cool. The costume contest is good too even though people don’t do it right they are finding cool secrets and sharing them. The one thing that Roblox could do is change the objective, but focusing on gameplay it’s still really cool

As one of the art designers for pressure on the rave update I could care less. We had been working on this update way before Roblox had contacted us and were planning to launch it on new years. But since Roblox contacted us a week before the even and some last minute changes I can for sure say we really don't care as this update would've came out soon

I haven't been interested in the last 3 events since the Hunt finished
events fell off so hard after (and during) the hunt, all the games used are the same so there's literally nothing different 😔

I honestly forgot all about the events that happened this year (apart from the classic)
I thought this event would be similar to the hunt, so I was exited for it. Played for 10 minutes and decided the only thing that was interesting was the rewards and the map. I was quite disappointed.
The roblox event is so so bad I thought that you complete missions and you can vote or enter in the Halloween constant contest too.
