I was gonna create a JonathanGD creator review like 2 years ago but I never got it past the scripting stage so its good to finally see such a high quality ranking of his levels. Good video!
I think the reason Jonathan's levels are so popular is because of the soul put into it. Each one of his levels takes you on a grand journey as big as the one that made it come to fruition. A love for creating is present in each one of his works whether dated or not. Also the little jam oc is such a funny goober protect him at all costs.
Agreed. Simply amazing of how Jonathan grew so much as a creator, a skillful player and a content creator he is as well. He's truly amazing at what he does and makes in the community of this game.

@@JamAttack ik you don’t like butiti III, personally I really like it and think a lot of it has aged really well, my favorite part is mainly everything since the haha funny dual
Butiti III is definitely the hardest JonathanGD level, so not as many people have tried it, but I really like the effects and gameplay, and how it stays true to the series. The part with a lot of lag holds up really well today, as well as a lot of other parts such as the mini cube reminiscent of the 80% ball in Butiti II
So glad to see Biru not forgotten about. Biru is a top 3 level for me, and I think that the level is one of Jon's best levels just for the fact that he was forced to use one color and he still managed to keep it interesting.

Hey Jam! Loving your OC being brought to life in a bit of a animation. Very cute and cool if I do say so myself! And also, loved the video of you doing this rank of JonathanGD. He's truly amazing at making his stuff and how we grew so much as a creator, player and a content creator. His levels truly hits some of us hard in the feelings that we've never felt. Even for me of having an imaginary moments of being in one of those levels by myself or with him, like an adventure when more of the song kicks in and what he made of his designs. Even loved of you making it funny, meaningful and cinematic in your words and how the level process in Dark Travel. Great stuff man! I don’t know what exactly it is about his levels, maybe the duals, the endurance needed to beat his levels, or the decoration that is you can tell what objects made it yet still are unable to piece together how it’s made, but even after 3 years of trying on mobile, and still only 3 demons, I still have yet to beat Future Funk II, or any of his other levels, and I still love playing every single second of it. Call me bad or whatever you want, but I have never had any other creator, player, or other such figure influence me as much as Jon has. If you aren’t aware, he streams his level building nearly every day, and you can get some great insight on how he works and it’s truly amazing to watch him as he slowly brings his ideas to life. Never more have I loved looking at levels than when they are built by JonathanGD, and while there are other creators that have similarly put together levels like bli who are no doubt as great as JonathanGD, there’s a certain fullness to his levels that I can’t see anyone else replicate.
JonathanGD's levels actually introduced me into enjoying songs made by onefin, and it also influenced my interest in PMD. Just knowing about these kinds of levels made my life for the better.
Good video :) I'm personally not the biggest fan of Jonathan's gameplay but I must admit that he puts a lot of effort into his levels and that's admirable.

I really like how this video was written. Some jokes here and there, but also some serious, heartfelt topics. It's a difficult balance to achieve, but you pretty much nailed it imo. Jonathan's levels are truly something unique, for better or for worse. And there's definitely some that outshine others. But in the end they're all good levels, even if the gameplay isn't the best at times. You can just see the effort put into them and it makes them quite memorable. And while his creativity certainly plays a big role in what makes his levels great, I especially find the music to be of great importance. Best shown by Onefin's songs. They fully immerse you in the experience the level is trying to replicate. One of my favorite music creators, without a doubt. A bit of a shame that for a while this led to his videos getting flooded by GD players talking more about the level than the song. Also, on a sidenote, you should definitely play PSMD. The beginning can be a bit boring and long-winded. But once you get out the first village, things get really interesting. Also fantastic music that you could listen to for hours. My favorite game ever.
I played Erou fairly recently and found it extremely fun, and also had a very positive experience with Future Funk (despite a 99% death lmao). Jonathan's levels are by no means the best levels to be made, but they are still often amazing works of art. My favourites of his would probably be Biru and The Lost Existence, and my only major criticism of his levels would be the fact that their LDMs are often very empty, having had almost every detail removed. Great video, looking forward to seeing more from you :)
@@xSDM did you do the LDM in game, or the LDM in the menu? The LDM in the menu is the one that breaks it° EDIT: I just replayed it, it's not impossible, but you have to jump far earlier than it looks (im talking about the two toggle orbs at the start of the drop). I don't get why removing the move triggers for the spikes were needed.
im glad that we are in a time where we are able to criticise good gd creators back then complaining about johnathan's levels were unseen but now we can actually do it without people wanting us dead and yeah i agree with your points, he had his lows but even his lows were better than the highs of a lot of creators lets be honest excited to see what will be his next level!
Dude, you're like the parallel universe me. My name is Jack (attack) and my initials are JAM. We're roughly the same age, we both make music, we both have UA-cam channels of primarily GD content, and I'm guessing we're both on the spectrum. You're like if the government cloned me but gave me buffs so I could make pretty levels and good video essays. Freaky
if we talk about the levels of JonathanGD, then he creates them on some specific basis, and if you find a tutorial on creating fantastic levels, you get a fantastically ingenious mixture, like Jonathan's. Nice work btw! 👍
Man, this is such an amazing video... I've never watched Jam's content before, this is my first, and I have to say, _YOU LEFT AN IMPRESSION ON ME, MAN!_ -...The video's in fact so good that I am willing to forgive the Peaceful reference, and that's a prestigious thing coming from -*-ME!-*
dang i keep forgetting how great his levels are lmao also i really enjoyed this video! i can tell you put a *lot* of effort into and i'm really happy to see more content like this
Fun fact, the first thing I saw about gd is a video of dark Odyssey and that's how I came to know about gd and how I started playing this game. This level is in high regards for me just in that case but really it's a good level. Also great video btw you sort of have similar opinions as I do
I'd say Butiti II and Future Funk are my favorites. They were the first JonathanGD levels I discovered, and are still unlike anything I have ever seen in GD. For years they've been my favorite levels in the whole game and still are :)
I know I'm a bit late, but congrats on 8k. Truly something you deserve. Also, dark odyssey is my favorite Jonathan level too. Also, do you think you could rank your favorite levels that you made? (Featured only)
I like the darker tone of Butiti III, and the glitchy theming, but it doesn't feel as "eventful" as Butiti II. Butiti II had the vocal parts with lyrics, the Juniper house and bossfight, the throwbacks to the first Butiti, and the classic rainbow duel. Butiti III has a rainbow duel too, a nice visual with the dash orb after the duel, and a cool part where the OG Butiti block is just chillin, but compared to Butiti II, there's not a lot of stand-out parts that really cement the level in my mind. It's less like a Butiti II sequel, and more like a darker remake of Butiti II.
Wow, I Appreciate Everything you do Jam! Jonathon has fans and people that hate him and what I always say is don't worry on people that will hate worry on the people that are loyal
well there are people that hate and there are people that just want to give you constructive criticism, but if someone's tearing you down just for sake of tearing you down, their opinion is as good as useless.
Just watched the dark travel section and I already loved it, I also have a soft spot as super mystery dungeon was my first game in the mystery dungeon series I’m gonna finish the video but I do like how it all goes together, good video in advance 👍
Look guys I've played mystery dungeon games before just not super mystery dungeon specifically lol the amount of comments I've gotten about that in the past few hours...
Dark Odyssey was really fun for me but then again I did fluke it. If you do plan on going for it then I'd very much recommend practicing the hell out of the later parts till you can do them stupid consistently.
I actually really liked RAMBreaker, so I'm surprised it got so low. The gameplay is very fun (for the most part) and consistent (for the most part) and the balancing is Jonathan balancing. I'd probably put it above Erou if I made a ranking like this.
JonathanGD inspired me to start my creating career in this game since Butiti III, and I’m grateful I went to this path. I want to be the next Jonathan or even better somewhere in the future.
yeah same man, so many of my levels wouldn't have existed without him Him, Zylenox, Serponge, and Jayuff are the people that really got me into creating.

I would play his demons more than I did on common ones. I don't know why but I will always enjoy his levels no matter how many times I fail. Also about to beat Future Funk II and probably going for Dark Odyssey in the future.
JonathanGD levels are really good, the only complaint I see that people can make are the lengths of the levels he makes. That doesn't really matter to me though, just as long as the levels are fun, I'll adore them to my fullest contents.
Since Monolithos is out rn, the only parts that i like is the trippy wave and ufo bc it syncs so well with the music + plus the ending and beginning is also kinda cool
Just want to point out my rankings, i hope it's okay.. 1. Erou 2. Biru 3. Dark Odyssey 4. Future Funk 5. Future Funk II 6. Monolithos 7. BuTiTi II 8. The Farewell 9. Dark Travel 10. The Lost Existence 11. BuTiTi III 12. Crystalia 13. BuTiTi 14. Beyond The Nature 15. Rambreaker To me, Gameplay, Accessibility, and Difficulty Friendliness are the most crucial things for a higher rank. Level's beauty comes second.
Biru is kind of unbalanced in a way that makes the level anoying to play but extremely sick nontheless, and Erou is my absolute favourite Travel Level, John Level and maybe, just maybe my favourite easy demon of all time (Hard to rank them easy demons tho), and Butiti II and Dark Odyssey are for me the definition of a perfect travel level (Erou is easier, so it goes up above those tho), the others, I agree with their position tho. What do you think of my opinion Mister Jelly Man? BTW, sick video dude :)
Yeah, I was trying to beat Biru for some time but I left it on hold because the second half and halfway were getting very annoying to die to, and yes, as you said, the last ship is very hard, but I don't think it's as hard as that Dual at the end. That part is pure pain. Glad Erou exsists now and I finally could pass a Demon John level.
Now that Monolithos is out, I'm sad to say that I'd have to put it at #6, bellow Future Funk. The quality of parts varies dramatically. Some parts are top 3 worthy easily, while some make the level feel like another Butiti 3, and everything in-between.
My favorite parts are easily the final parts of both modes. If the whole level looked as good as those, this would even have a chance at beating Erou and Biru (maybe, it is pretty short for a Jon level and while the song is very good, it's not my go-to cup of tea).
You can tell the middle parts were a lot more rushed and overall this level feels very uninspired. I hope Jon has a lot more fun making his 15 minute level, and I know that he's capable of WAY better stuff than this when he's inspired.
I have to say tho, Monolithos is very very fun to play. BuTiTi 3 didn't have that going for it lol
ok strawberry jam
You know, that's still not a bad placement for something that had to be rushed in the first place due to the deadline

EDIT: I just replayed it, it's not impossible, but you have to jump far earlier than it looks (im talking about the two toggle orbs at the start of the drop). I don't get why removing the move triggers for the spikes were needed.
@@N3bulA_ yeah I remember finding that part hard, but I didn't realise it was actually different to the full detail version, weird
im glad that we are in a time where we are able to criticise good gd creators
back then complaining about johnathan's levels were unseen but now we can actually do it without people wanting us dead
and yeah i agree with your points, he had his lows but even his lows were better than the highs of a lot of creators lets be honest
excited to see what will be his next level!
Freaky
thanks for 40 views
How s this comment so buried
Who knows, maybe one day you might reach 50
Great editing and humor, def enjoyed this masterpiece of a video! :)
if we talk about the levels of JonathanGD, then he creates them on some specific basis, and if you find a tutorial on creating fantastic levels, you get a fantastically ingenious mixture, like Jonathan's. Nice work btw! 👍
no fleeting idea what this means but glad you liked the video lol
@@JamAttack ☺️
Tibuti is one of my favourite easy demons that I’ve beaten imo. I love that level
everyone argue with this so I can have more viewer engagement :troll:
(Arguing)……..(arguing)
Future funk was an interesting choice for my first hard demon...
And i don't regret a SECOND of it.
Good and funny video! My personal favorite is The Farewell. :)
This video was super high quality, good job! :)
thanks! :)
Man, this is such an amazing video... I've never watched Jam's content before, this is my first, and I have to say, _YOU LEFT AN IMPRESSION ON ME, MAN!_
-...The video's in fact so good that I am willing to forgive the Peaceful reference, and that's a prestigious thing coming from -*-ME!-*
thank you for forgiving me for such a crime
dang i keep forgetting how great his levels are lmao
also i really enjoyed this video! i can tell you put a *lot* of effort into and i'm really happy to see more content like this
thanks! :) hoping to make more content of this quality. And yea jons levels are very nice and good
Fun fact, the first thing I saw about gd is a video of dark Odyssey and that's how I came to know about gd and how I started playing this game. This level is in high regards for me just in that case but really it's a good level. Also great video btw you sort of have similar opinions as I do
Biru placement!!! I love Biru wayyy too much, also this was a very good video!
fellow biru enjoyer
I'd say Butiti II and Future Funk are my favorites. They were the first JonathanGD levels I discovered, and are still unlike anything I have ever seen in GD. For years they've been my favorite levels in the whole game and still are :)
I know I'm a bit late, but congrats on 8k. Truly something you deserve. Also, dark odyssey is my favorite Jonathan level too.
Also, do you think you could rank your favorite levels that you made? (Featured only)
could be fun but I have a lot of them lol
@@JamAttack oh, still an idea though
I feel bad for never playing Erou, imma play it rn
it is a pretty fun level
it's ok though I never actually played well rested, I need to do that
Jam: some people come home to a loving wife
Some to a cute cuddly pet
I come home to eruok by Jonathan gd
Me: I come home to caffeine
11:38 Nice to see my favourite content creator mentioning my other favourite content creator, that's pretty cool
It's less like a Butiti II sequel, and more like a darker remake of Butiti II.
watching this video back I really do appreciate how much more natural my voiceovers sound now, like it's a big difference
9:18- Jams mascot moves its mouth
Yeah this is definitely your best video. Hilarious, well edited, emotional somehow, it was really great!
thanks! ♥
@@JamAttack funny thing, btw, I used to think BuTiTi III was the best level ever made for absolutely no reason lmao
@@MagmaMageGD butiti iii is good tho 😭
@@xStarz05 I mean, it's fine, but I was like obsessed with it.
i love this video, especially how emotional it gets at the end
oh yea the animation is cool too
I like how in the beginning of the video he likes, “does 100 hours sound like a lot”. Now he a little over 100 hours in his easy demon
i literally had a video on my reconmended 10 seconds ago about ranking jonathan levels
Wow, I Appreciate Everything you do Jam! Jonathon has fans and people that hate him and what I always say is don't worry on people that will hate worry on the people that are loyal
well there are people that hate and there are people that just want to give you constructive criticism, but if someone's tearing you down just for sake of tearing you down, their opinion is as good as useless.
well I guess now that I think about it, you can sometimes still learn stuff from those people but take it with a very very big grain of salt
Just watched the dark travel section and I already loved it, I also have a soft spot as super mystery dungeon was my first game in the mystery dungeon series
I’m gonna finish the video but I do like how it all goes together, good video in advance 👍
Okay this actually goes way too insane wtf this is astounding
There are a lot of underrated videos this is definitely among them and I’M NOT DONE YET
How do I like more than once /silly
8:58 am i the only one who hears "diddy underdogs"?
2:21 whatever he was smoking, i want that also 🗿
50 seconds in and love the editing.
you got a new sub.
Look guys I've played mystery dungeon games before just not super mystery dungeon specifically lol the amount of comments I've gotten about that in the past few hours...
DjamTack you r topid
Lso thad anemitation afterr tha rebbot thin wash da besh thin eye eevrr sin
I just noticed that you made the old UA-cam format for 5:43 lol. Great video.
Amazing video, I love dark odyssey with all my heart and I wanna beat it for my first extreme, dark travel was step one but boy was that an adventure
Dark Odyssey was really fun for me but then again I did fluke it. If you do plan on going for it then I'd very much recommend practicing the hell out of the later parts till you can do them stupid consistently.
@@JamAttack yeah im excited for it, I had 90-100x103 or something on dark travel so I'm scared about how many runs I'm gonna have for odyssey
love how you made some gd levels into an emotional video (in some parts)
I actually really liked RAMBreaker, so I'm surprised it got so low. The gameplay is very fun (for the most part) and consistent (for the most part) and the balancing is Jonathan balancing. I'd probably put it above Erou if I made a ranking like this.
very unique opinion but I'll respect it
Great list, nice seeing your opinions! Some I wouldn't agree, but that's just me
it's ok I forgive you
11:15 “The drop DROPS down in quality” that’s the greatest drop.
JonathanGD inspired me to start my creating career in this game since Butiti III, and I’m grateful I went to this path. I want to be the next Jonathan or even better somewhere in the future.
yeah same man, so many of my levels wouldn't have existed without him
Him, Zylenox, Serponge, and Jayuff are the people that really got me into creating.
I don't know why but the Undertale OST just fits with JamAttack's videos

YEEAAAAA BOOOOOIIII WE GOT CLOUT FROM A JAR OF JAM WOOOOO
Ain't no way blud turned dark travel into a Netflix K-drama

“It shows its age, not gonna lie, but for the time it came out…”
“This was the shit”
this man's voice makes him sound so happy to be alive and its inspiring
Men I fucking love high quality Geometry Dash content
I hope the men heard you
7:42 when your parents are sleeping and you died on 99%
I don't know what it is, but Biru just makes me feel happy whenever I see it
why is this video so deep
bro i almost cried at the end
I would play his demons more than I did on common ones. I don't know why but I will always enjoy his levels no matter how many times I fail. Also about to beat Future Funk II and probably going for Dark Odyssey in the future.
I've beaten both of those and I had a good time with them personally
This is a really good video honestly, I enjoyed watching it a ton
Also you spelled The Lost Existence wro- *dies*
i tried
GG dude
JonathanGD levels are really good, the only complaint I see that people can make are the lengths of the levels he makes. That doesn't really matter to me though, just as long as the levels are fun, I'll adore them to my fullest contents.
This video is AWESOME do this for more creators
Since Monolithos is out rn, the only parts that i like is the trippy wave and ufo bc it syncs so well with the music + plus the ending and beginning is also kinda cool
most reasonable opinion on the level I've heard
DUDE THAT ENDING GOT ME F@CKING CRYING BRO FUNNI BUT TRUE

“Holy mother of all things ever.”
Oooh that’s a new one.
"How long did this take and existential crisis."
That's a nice name.
Listen to the actual soundtrack, part 2 of it is literally amazing
"This was the shit" - best quote
YHANK YOU FOR PUTTING THE SONG IN THE CONNOR (I can’t spell sorry)
That one part in BuTiTi where its all invisible and you have to follow the melody... it gives me nightmares
12:38 had me dying of laughter. He showed the only laggy part of the level!
9:07 i got a fucking low battery notification right when the glitch ended
I did that, it was part of the video
Just want to point out my rankings, i hope it's okay..
1. Erou
2. Biru
3. Dark Odyssey
4. Future Funk
5. Future Funk II
6. Monolithos
7. BuTiTi II
8. The Farewell
9. Dark Travel
10. The Lost Existence
11. BuTiTi III
12. Crystalia
13. BuTiTi
14. Beyond The Nature
15. Rambreaker
To me, Gameplay, Accessibility, and Difficulty Friendliness are the most crucial things for a higher rank.
BTW, sick video dude :)
the last ship in biru is pretty brutal
Yeah, I was trying to beat Biru for some time but I left it on hold because the second half and halfway were getting very annoying to die to, and yes, as you said, the last ship is very hard, but I don't think it's as hard as that Dual at the end. That part is pure pain. Glad Erou exsists now and I finally could pass a Demon John level.
