Last days I was going through some serious depressive episode. I really thought I wouldn't make it this time, feeling so down and not finding any more emotions inside of me. Suddenly, when I was going back home from work, a huge storm started and I could watch it in its whole magnificency while listening to this song. For one bit, I felt alive again. Now I'm feeling better, and I love this song.
The intro sample is from Süleyman Çelebi's, Turkish poet, work Mevlit from 15th century. The exact citation is "Allah âdı olsa her işin önü, Hergiz ebter olmaya ânın sonu.", Tevhid Bahri.
Coming from a 12 year old Muslim girl this song is just beautiful. I love how she incorporated the quran or azan! I'm sorry I'm not sure which it is but this literally gives me so much motivation and makes me feel soooo proud of being Muslim and part of Islam it just puts a smile of my face :) I love Odesza
"I love how she incoorporated..." Odesza is a duo of two men who make these songs, not a woman. The fact that you are using a false premise to justify your faith is pretty pathetic.
Dear ODESZA...thank you sincerely for all of the incredible music you have bestowed upon the world. This one guy sittin here in Long Beach CA appreciates you to the Moon and back again!
I find it so comforting knowing I'm not the only one who found this song in a depressed state. Things in my life 6 years ago had been.. in the lightest terms possible. Really bleak. And I found this as one of the most inspiring and uplifting songs during one of my darkest of times. Thank you ODESZA.. Not sure if I'd be here without you guys.
The intro feels like my future self teaching my first yoga class as the energy just pours and channels through my crown chakra with a gentle warm-up, then at :30 we start to flow and it gets fun and light, yet still healing, peaceful, and trans-formative. Its a strange yet incredible feeling. Gosh I love Odesza. Music that makes you catch the feels with little/no lyrics.
There's something about Odesza's music that keeps me coming back. Found this a long time ago, I was looking for it for a while and now I finally found it again! 😊🎶
ODESZA is a genre of their own! 💎They give me feelings I never knew existed! 😍😍😍😍😍😍Their music is timeless! ⌚ Takes me away from this world completely! 🌌 This track gives me a range of emotions from sadness to happiness all at the same time and makes me nostalgic about memories I haven't even had! 🔥🔥🔥
This is so chill. I wish I had more music like this; not totally boring (this has an amazing beat) but also on the chill side and not crazy like some EDM songs that I've heard. Great job Odesza!!!
This is the latest song from Odesza that im obsessed with and I JUST heard about it late November of 2020. Started from say my name in 2015 fall. Crazy how time flies. Stay safe everyone.
Don’t know if I commented this before but this song LITERALLY takes me back in time to the first I heard this I love it ❤️ Can’t get sick of this song ever
+TrueBlueSueSue lol I just know because I've listened to plenty and you kind of just know but unless someone can 100% verify its all pointless , let everyone believe what they want ✌
I have a PhD in Religious Studies and I can assure you all that although the first 20 seconds are in Arabic, they are not a recitation of the Quran. Judging off of my remedial understanding of the Arabic language, it is just a call to peace and festivities.
It's just a music video, is it? Then you should have no place taking discourse about the Arabic at the beginning. You don't police me and I will refrain from policing you comments. I don't know about you, but in my country we enjoy freedom of speech. Plus, this is the internet.. grow a thicker skin or buy a security blanket "Mate." By the way, I'm not hating on Muslims, I am hating on yhose who kill in the name of a supposedly benevolent god. Oh, and shouting in type is represented by a "!" Re-read my post. It's called discussion. Expressing a viewpoint. So you have to ask yourself: Am I defending religious extremists who kill innocent men, women, and children in brutal fashion with sadistic glee? Or will I cpncede the point that said persons are evil and deserve to be on the receiving end of justice? Step up to the bar and choose. If you waffle in your answer or don't choose and we'll all know you side with the mass-murdering zealots.
I am speaking because I have the right to voice my opinions and to engage in reasonable discourse. Your post implies that I either have no right to post or that you feel there is no substance to my words, making them a waste of data. You can sit behind your anonymity and post inanities and vagaries.. meanwhile you add nothing to the conversation. Well done.
Horizon you were arguing against my point that muslim extremists should be punished and that they are wrong, so yes, that's the same as siding with the mass murdering idiots. Also, your use of repeated insults invalidates any pretense of rationality. Straw-manning is presuming the thoughts of others... I did not oresune, your words are here in black and white for all to see. You argued that I shouldn't be discussing religion here, and yet think it is ok to discuss anything else. Get over yourself. This is the internet: people will discuss anything, anywhere. It could be a video of a cat rolling off of a bed, and someone will somehow bring up clown rape or the legalization of marijuana or president Obama... etc. Just because YOU don't think it should be discussed here doesn't amount to a hill if beans. Have a nice day.
I heard this song in a dance recital at my dance school and I couldn’t find it ANYWHERE. 4 months later, here I am, clicking on a recommended video in complete shock. I LOVE IT!!
I LOVE ODESZA! IT'S THE BEST! And I was even more excited when I realized Koto, one of their best songs, was the background music for the lokai water pack ad! Congrats Odesza! You really BLOOMed ;)
Don't be ignorant. Because you don't know what something is or means doesn't mean you should be afraid or assume it is something evil. Life is beautiful all over the world no matter culture or language. shit just enjoy the music lmao.
I realize that, but people in the comments section were mistaken. My point was that it doesn't matter if he saying "hello everyone" or reciting from the Quran, or the bible or whatever. If it's beautiful then just enjoy it...
Almost everybody says that very beginning of the music is so chilling or very impressive. I agree with them and I came here to inform you guys that is Turkish with arabic accent. As I'm a Turk, I can understand only a few words from the intro but its not crystal clear unfortunalety :( İf I find the original intro music, well I am trying to do it, I will also inform you guys.
So your reply on my comment shows that over 1,000,000 ppl are listening and almost 6.300 pll like a terorist stuff or like that? I am honestly curious what you guys eat or drink to have that kind of mentality? Well, you should really do something special to have it, cuz its not normal.
I'm glad I have the opportunity to name my first-born daughter ODESZA, because then I will never have to worry about her not being confident about her existence, because she's named after the most beautiful thing that has ever been in the 3rd dimension. 😌😌😌
I love Odesza. This song hits!!!! Jesus Christ is coming soon please repent (change your ways) and come to Christ. Christ is coming a second time to collect all His children. God is love
I think ODESZA is the best at making music that can touch you spiritually, you could almost interpret there music in a way that is universal.

Never heard this song before. Within 15 seconds of the intro, tears immediately started flowing. No joke.

William Mick Fuck off mate, it's a music video not your place to scream and shout about how much you hate a religion.
