I'm a simple guy. Traum releases a video, I'm going to listen, sit back and realize how much happiness was brought into my life in the last 6 months from the day I found this channel, give it a like, then appreciate how fantastic his playing is.
@JACOB H I mean, it's your opinion, i respect that. But for me overplayed pieces get so annoying. Why? The piece itself is just 20% of the annoyance, the people that play this in so many places, relatives that tell you to play this. The worst part is when you play a technically difficult piece and they still tell you to play Canon cause "it's more impressive".
@@devonchristopher5837 I agree. Although I love and appreciate those songs such as Fur Elise, Claire de Lune, Canon in D, Chopin Nocturne no 2, for some reason they just bore me nowadays because I've heard them so many times. It is true that they are really good songs which makes people overplay them, but there are a lot of other really awesome songs too.

One of Debussy's best works... The visual and the colors are just perfect for this piece. I don't know why, but when I listen to this piece I can imagine the world without the Covid, the paradise. Just amazing how Debussy wrote this and how you performed it :) Please, stay safe everyone!
It's always really interesting to hear someone else play a piece you've mastered yourself. Especially for an expressive piece like this, you hear all sorts of places where their idea of how the piece is interpreted doesn't quite match your own image of how the piece is supposed to sound, as well as other places where you say "yes! That's how I've been working on playing that one passage!" An example of the first one is the passage going right into the very end. I like to half pedal and give it just a little less sustain so that there's a little less resonance, but without killing it all. An example of a place where Traum's interpretation matches mine in a passage I worked long and hard on is the 4 against "6 but played in couplets" section. Getting the accents on those notes right is incredibly hard because it's like playing in two different meters at once, where the measure lines don't even line up. So well done on pulling it off!
The key to the beauty of this piece is to never go outside the bounderies neccessary to create a beautiful flowing piece to keep continuing the relaxed flow. I dont know about the speed but I felt like it was a bit rushed. Nonetheless, well done
I really enjoyed your version, Im currently relearning this piece and its really nice to hear someone play it with more motion/expression than most pianists do. Good job :)

I wonder if we'll see Debussy's second arabesque as well.
The second arabesque is beautiful as well!
Of course we're gonna have it, it won't be completed without all the arabesque
