FoTS is the best expansion ever in any total war game. A total conversion with working gunpowder mechanics and the artillery call in in battle is a foreshadowing to the Great War total war IMO. And the music .... the music is just legendary.
barbarian invasion
FoTS was an excellent expansion, indeed. Although the lack of diversity is the negative point of this game.
i totally agree with you
However that's a safe bet to say that CA will never release a Great War TW anytime soon. That's a completely different map setting and battlefield dynamic.
I aggree. But IF we have working frontline machanic in a Paradox game it is just a matter of time before we get one in TW.
My guess (suggestion?) is the following: We have a front line on two warring factions. You can garrison this frontline with multiple stacks. Armies on the frontline take attrition based on artillery presence in support companies (Artillery is no longer in the army but can be attached to it and you can call in bombardment in battle).
Attrition could be counteracted with tactics (research), general's rank and abilities and/or army stance.
You can pick a region on the frontline to fight a manual battle in the hopes of breaking through. After that you decide to 1: Push through for the nearest city, or outfnalk the frontline and destroy the opposing factions stack/stacks.
Planes: You can build airfields and forts on different regions and garrison planes. The planes effective range on the campaign map decides whether you can call in air suppport/not in a manual battle.
Love the campaign. You've taught me so much when it comes to Total War hope to see you on Three Kingdoms.
Accuracy and reload skill for the win!
those small bonuses really do help a lot when you start thinking about it. Say you have 15 rifle armed units in kneel fire (1 general and 4 artillery), with superior accuracy (gunsmith and shooting range) plus foreign vets and generals with as many bonuses to accuracy, ammo and reload skill as possible anyone would be hard pressed trying to charge at you! Especially with elite infantry!
32:45 Legend on the winter wars.
Looking forward to seeing how this campaign resolves
1:14:30 never been so relatable to a video in my entire life
I am surprised Legend does not use Yari Cavalry in his main armies. He does not seem to use cavalry in general, but even just the one (in tandem with a general) allows you to much more easily clean up fast routs while also murdering cavalry/generals in field battles, and sniping artillery in defensive sieges.
Then again, it might be a bit moot since once you get Kneel Fire and Armstrong guns you basically never lose a battle, ever.
He's reasoning is that while yes they are good the cost effectiveness is just better on much cheaper units
5:52 bless you
1-2 episodes ago income was 6k, now it's 60k. Realm divide is counter intuitive, but shit it changed the entire game here.
Is it me or has the view count gone down loads recently?
Can anyone tell me why I should buy this game. I bought everything from Rome to Attila except this and Warhammer If anyone has thoughts on its qualities it would be nice to know.
Best soundtrack, best gunpowder battles, best tech tree of all total war games IMO
Luke Chew Thank you Luke that's stuff I didn't even think about. The music the gunpowder. The one great thing I heard was the multiplayer online was supposed to be the best.
@@johnnyd3387 That's true as well, the multiplayer is great. You can make your own general, starting with just a few units available, and then build build his army and skills as you play battles. Also has an interesting campaign map for multiplayer when winning battles grants you new retainers and units as you conquer Japan
Luke Chew the naval battles are REALLY worth it! Seeing an enemy (or your own) ship blowing up in a spectacular explosion is something that makes this expansion so much more beautiful imo.
@@zarakdurrani7584 indeed
Fuck yes put a General on a boat! If you want to rank them up they get 10 points per victory. If you want to keep them loyal, ships have no means by which to defect.
Suppression fire lowers enemy morale.
It would be worth your while to upgrade your agents as soon as they rank up because they have passive bonuses that are great. However, I see you are doing fine without agents so I can't exactly bitch about it.
I miss sydc legend rome and medevil ones other ones not so much
a new medieval 2 sydc is coming out tomorrow
