I love when you said you don't want to have to tweak a perfume to love it. We typically spend good money on these perfumes! For me, longevity is sososo important. I don't want to layer lotion or other perfumes to make a weaker scent last longer. I just want to wear the scent on its own and trust that it'll survive the day!
I could not possibly agree more! But I’ve come to accept that the western perfumes (especially designer) simply don’t last all day. If there’s a middle eastern dupe or one with a dominant, similar note like a nice oud, or a gourmand like, vanilla, tonka, honey, caramel or a fruit like litchi, cherry, bergamot, or white flower like tuberose, l have no problem layering. The middle Easterns are always longer and stronger. I figure it saves me money since I don’t have to spray my westerns to death. But I do agree with your original point.
Yes! I’m in my 50s and the difference is striking! I recently splurged on Creed Carmina after testing on skin many times and loved it. It arrived during my period, and all I could smell was strong frankincense and myrrh. It was gross. A few days later, it’s in the background of the beautiful rose. Such a huge difference.
@@oliviaoctober Totally agree. I’m in my late 40’s. I grew up with Spears’s Fantasies, Exclamation and everything Coty etc. I still collect the Fantasies for sentimental purposes and it’s easy bc they’re cheap. I wear them to bed sometimes. I also have some old classic Chanel, Chopard, Guerlain etc. because they remind me of my Gram, therefore my childhood. But my working/ worn collection consists of the usual modern, niche and designer suspects. I have a professional job and as much a I’d like to skip around all day smelling like unicorn candy corn snot and strawberry fantasyland cream sodas, it’s just not possible, nor do I want to.
I heard some good advice for decluttering - make and keep a small - 2ml - decant of ones you think might want to revisit down the line. Then you have it to spray again later when you get that itch to help remind you why you declutterred, or see if you truly want back.
I think you can finally go forward without a disclaimer now. If someone is offended they need to grow up! 💯 love the video, your makeup looks Gorge ✨ the red lip is so chic 💅💅
I actually discovered that they sent you were like can change throughout the month depending on your hormone levels and cycle. There are perfumes. I am nauseous if I smell them during my period and I love them just after and vice versa. Because of that, I learned to give perfumes a chance and just try to smell them at different times of the month and the year. Women are much more likely to experience that compared to men and that’s why men usually like the same perfume
I picked up junoon noir because of your recommendation and I absolutely love it. It’s my favorite comforting scent❤️❤️ I was sad to hear that you are letting it go 🥹
I love kilian princess so much! the opening was a bit weird to me at first too but the dry down is so beautiful and addicting and actually lasts sooo long on me
Decluttering feels so good! I decided I’m not buying any dupes or Lattafa dupes anymore. I always still want the originals so I end up wasting more money trying dupes first then having to sell. I also tried a project pan with body mists and it made me realize I never reach for mists when I have so many good perfumes. I sold everything that I wasn’t using and hoping not to let fomo get me this year 😂
Yep agree with body mists! I’d rather save money and get perfume! Lattafa has been mostly misses! 😢Eclair smells great! But doesn’t project or last! BUT Angham was a great surprise!! It was actually better than Burberry Goddess! (For me) BG tended to give me a headache due to lavender or ginger? Which was odd as i love both those notes! But too shrieky in BG . Angham feels like they added some caramel! I agree though, I’d rather have the real BUT I also have this internal budget rule, for scented water ha I won’t spend more than 150-200 and only if it’s amazing 😅
I don't have near the collection you do so I don't get rid of anything unless I don't like it consistently bc I know sometimes I like them more or less depending on my mood, the weather, etc
Really enjoyed this! I am working on getting my perfume and body spray collection under control. I’ve gifted a lot and will probably do more. I find that I tend to wear the same ones over and over. And many I forget about. I’m about to declutter my entire house 😂🎉
150 perfumes in total is so hard for me to wrap my head around!!! But it's literally your job, so I understand. (: It's just so hard to imagine as someone who has only TWO main perfumes (Burberry Her and Mugler Alien Goddess). I've gotten rid of sooo many perfumes, but my collection is at most only five scents at a time.
Ohh I love those two fragrances 😍😍 I have alien goddess and I want to get the lattafa (rave now) dupe for Burberry her 😁what are your other fragrances you have?
@@karinatumanov7363 I used to have Lancome Idole Aura, Mugler Angel Nova EDT (it got discontinued 😭), The 7 Virtues Candied Lychee, Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy, Pink Sugar, Burberry Her Elixir, Gorgio Armani Si, and a few others I can't remember!
I am jealous you could narrow it down - I used to be that way until I started watching UA-cam (same thing happened with makeup). I have never finished a bottle because if it’s discontinued and it has memories I don’t want it to be gone (defeats the purpose of enjoying them). And I love everything from sickly sweet to woody aromatic - and every time I smell something I think “this could be the only thing I wear from now on”, until I smell the next one. It’s kind of driving me nuts at the same time it makes me happy to smell everything. Did you give things away or sell? I don’t want to think about how much money I could have saved if I never started watching hauls and “best perfumes for life” because I got FOMO. If you sold things which platform do you recommend? Thanks ahead of time.
I wasn’t using my princess either and I was thinking of getting rid of it, but I put it on last Sunday and I fell in love with it. It smelled so different to me but in a good way. Fragrance is weird sometimes but that makes it fun and exciting.
on the smelling different thing, it could be a combo of things; you sense of smell/preferences just change as you age (I'm 32 and some things just don't sit well with me or my chemistry anymore) which leads me to hormonal changes and imbalances, could be a symptom of long c0v!d if you've ever had it or your perfumes may have gone rancid or just changed molecularly due to sun exposure, temperature, the oils changing or macerating. could be a lot of things. it happens and is only natural💖 could also just have negative associations with them too which will change how you feel about them. or you might just not like them anymore which is absolutely ok!!
I'm looking for a fresh perfume that last. I'm tired of gourmands, can you do a video on that? Freshies that last. Like to smell clean? Not a cupcake or pastry? Thank you!
I don't like it either when my collection gets too big. I own just under twenty fragrances, which to me is the absolute maximum. Actually already a bit too much. I prefer to buy small sizes if I can, but a lot of perfumes only come in 100 ml bottles, especially arab fragrances. I would never finish that amount, because I do tend to get bored with it before that time. I do really need a fragrance to be somewhat longlasting , hate it if they don't last.
I recently had a cold, I think the flu because it was bad, anyway right now I don’t like perfume as much, pretty much any of it, but I know that when I get sick I get sensitive to scents, so it’s temporary. But I sure understand scents smelling different from time to time. There are patchouli perfumes I don’t like in cold weather but I like in hot weather, or milky perfumes I don’t like in hot weather but like in cold weather, it all can be so fickle.
Oh I completely get it. There are sooo many perfumes that smell amazing to me but.. they are just not for me. I just don’t identify with them. I feel perfumes are just an extension of who we are and they somewhat resemble our personalities too. I’m a feminine, fruity, floral, freshie kind of girl and no matter how many years pass and how many new amazing gourmand perfumes they release I just can’t wear them. They are just not me. 🤷🏻♀️ But love smelling them on others. Great video 💕🥰
I have over 200 bottles, and just got rid of some of mine. I was told if a perfume is over 2 years old it starts losing its smell. Not sure if that is true but a lot of mine I've had for years smelled different. Some I love smelled awful. My problem is that I only grab the same ones.
Same with the Junoon Noir.. I bought it because it smelled so similar to Dama Bianca & SDJ 40.. it was really pleasant at first but after a few months I’m catching something sour or metallic. Hard to explain but yeahhhh..
Declutters are one of my faves you do! Buuuuuuuutttttt… having said that I’m going to be a peer pressure pusher. You HAVE to get Crème Brûlée by THEODOROS KALOTINIS! Wait until you move to Greece, it’ll be way cheaper but SOOOOO worth it! I’m going in June with my Greek bestie and I will be running to get several others from his house! CAN’T WAIT 😘🇨🇦🇬🇷
Omg!!! U getting rid of rihanna 😅 i litterly bought it years ago cuz u discribed it to be better than the og. I still reach for it in wintertime and i even have a backup. I don't know why this is such a shock for me😂😂😂 ❤u
I also declutter angel elixer I loved it in 2024 summer time but now when I wear it I don’t really like the scent it kinda smell like a man parfum on me now 😢
Hey!! I have been following you since a couple of years. I loved your content because your taste in perfumes is similar to mine. However, recently you have only been doing these declutter videos, which are now getting slightly repetitive and boring. Please start making regular videos too. Show us what perfumes can be worn on a valentine's day this year, and the like. Please ❤
I can’t believe you have to do a disclaimer on almost every video like this 🙈 do people really get angry? That’s crazy, they must live a very sheltered life

Yess!
As women our hormones change our sense of smell throughout our cycle! So that’s why you might perceive your fragrances differently at different times
For sure. If you used to love them, maybe wait a couple weeks and sniff again.
Yess!! This happens to me. There is certain perfumes and body mists I can't use around and during my cycle.
Was just going to say the exact same thing!

That first perfume looks like Narciso Poudree, it’s a light cream color! The OG Narciso is much more floral & in a pure white cube.
No I'm pretty sure that's the Narciso, white bottle with a beige lid. The poudre is a peachy colour with the same colour lid 😊
@ ooooh thanks for clarifying! I didn’t realize Narciso had a beige lid, thought the lid matched the white bottle.
